Today we learn about ministering the Savior's way.
Today we talk about the incredible forgiveness that Alma and Amulek show.
Today we continue our discussion on why bad things happen to good people.
Today we dive into a really difficult chapter of the Book of Mormon as we explore the often asked question, "why do bad things happen to good people?"
Today we talk about sanctification and the promise of God's rest.
Today we talk about the character of the Savior which allows for the preparatory redemption.
Today we talk about priesthood and foreordination. What exactly does it mean to be foreordained and how does that play into our agency? And how can we know what God wants us to do?
Having a perfect recollection of all our guilt is a gift of God's mercy!
Today we talk about the temptation to give up what we really want long term, for what we want right now.
Today we talk are going to talk something that certainly won't lead to our conversion, but is REALLY cool!
Today Amulek gets tag teamed in to teach the people. We learn an important lesson about the importance of hearing when the Lord tries to reach us.
Today we learn about the power of remembering.
Here, as Alma is feeling like a failure, an angel of the Lord comes and tells him to rejoice! The Lord wasn't concerned that Alma's time in Ammonihah hadn't yielded immediate or measurable success, he was rejoicing in the fact that Alma had been obedient to what the Lord asked of him. Can you and I get ourselves to believe that the Lord is pleased with our efforts? Even on days when we feel like we've failed?
Heavenly Father asks us to do hard things, we all get discouraged, we feel like failures at times. But we can take heart and trust in the Lord, knowing that if He commanded us, then He will find a way.
I love Alma 7, I wish we could spend the week in it! Alma teaches the people of Gideon, who were righteous, and whereas he taught the people of Zarahemla important doctrines, here he teaches the people of Gideon HOLY doctrines because of their righteousness.
Alma gave a special invitation to the members on behalf of those who didn't yet know God, and it would be so powerful for us in our day as well!
Sometimes we over complicate the commandments, Alma teaches us that the commandments are plain and simple. He also teaches that testimonies don't come by vision or miracles, but by fasting, prayer and the Holy Ghost.
The voice of the Good Shepherd calls to each of us, how can we learn to hear Him better?
Today we sit down for a personal priesthood interview with Alma!
Alma gives us the recipe for salvation, and we talk about what it means to have Christ's image in our countenances.
Alma teaches the importance of remembering and of allowing the Savior to change our hearts.
Alma gives himself wholly to the work of salvation, he is ALL IN! What are we giving ourselves wholly to?
We are warned again against the sin of pride!
