I met Maya a few years ago when she toured through with Motel Raphael. I offered up a place to stay for the band and it was really great to get to know everyone. Since the inception of the band they have gone through some line up changes but still they persist and now Maya is pursuing some of her own solo material. It was really great talking to her and learning even more about her. Looking forward to hopefully seeing them again very soon.
I love our scene. By our scene I mean the Canadian music scene. It's small even though it spans the whole nation. I haven't met Dana in person but we talk online often and compare notes and shows. She's an extremely talented photographer and it was a pleasure to speak to her. Expect a part 2!
I love Seth and so will you. He is such a sweet person and one hell of a singer/songwriter. His new album "We Could Be" shows how far he has come and adds a full band element rather than just an acoustic endeavour. This was one of the last shows I was able to attend before lockdown came into effect and I cannot wait to see him perform again!
I had the chance to talk to Carlin the drummer from the band Iron Tusk on the phone. It was really amazing hearing about how he is giving back to his community in Alberta. We talk about how the Cancer Bats came and played on the Siksika reservation and how Carlin got Alexisonfire to help out in his community as well.
I have known Sam for awhile and even appeared on his podcast a few times. So now it was his turn! I loved the chance to sit down and talk to him (and a little later on his wonderful wife) Sam has been around the Winnipeg music scene for a good long time and is now a driving force behind Winnipeg's podcasting community!
I had the chance to FINALLY sit down and talk to Bucky Driedger of Royal Canoe and his touring company First Date Touring. We talked about growing up in southern Manitoba and his early musical career. As well as how Royal Canoe has pushed musical boundaries with using odd instruments and how they have been a staple here in the Winnipeg music scene.
It was an honour to talk to Chris Birkett. An award winning producer, composer and singer songwriter. It was incredible hearing his stories on working with such musical heavy weights like Sinead O Connor, Talking Heads, Buffy St Marie and so many more.
I had the chance to sit down with Jorge the lead singer from The Mariachi Ghost and the artistic director of The West End Cultural Centre. We talk about his upbringing in Mexico, what the music scene was like in Mexico city when he was growing up. As well as what brought him here to Winnipeg and his vision for the WECC.
I had the chance to sit down with Royal Tusk's lead singer Daniel at a stop over here in Winnipeg Mb a while back. We talk about his old band Ten Second Epic, his musical journey and a whole lot more.

I had a chance to sit down with half of the members of Subcity Dwellers a while back. We talk about the upcoming reunion shows, why they broke up and how everything came full circle.
I had the chance to sit down with the brothers Baron who make up the Winnipeg band FIINN. The band released their EP back in 2014 and had been very busy up until a year ago when the band took a quick break. I talked to them about the name change (why the extra I) and what it was like growing up and playing music together.
I had the chance to sit down and talk to the fine gentlemen in Endless Chaos from Winnipeg, MB. Endless Chaos is a metal band from right here in Winnipeg MB. We talk about the formation of the band, member changes and a lot more.
I cannot believe I had the chance to talk to the one and only FRED PENNER. Fred is a Canadian and dare I say world wide iconic musical/actor. We talk about his past and how he discovered music and how he continues to push forward and find new ways to create music.
I had the chance to sit down with Winnipeg's own Rayannah. We talk about many things in this conversation including how she overcame her "imposter" syndrome, her angsty teenage years and how she is becoming a very busy producer.
I sit down and talk to Mat from Hut Hut about many things. Getting old, the album release, old bands and dodgeball!
Its been a hot minute since we have released an episode and we couldn't be more pleased to end our dry spell with Winnipeg's own Death Cassette. In this conversation we touch on a lot of points and they even tell us WHEN the new album is dropping and all about (well just about all about) the album release show.
I had the chance to talk to Gwen and Lucy from Dog Party. We talked about where they came from, how long they have been playing music and their road time with Green Day.
This is a HUGE one for me. I had the chance to sit down with Todd from Propagandhi. We talk about how he got started in music, his painting and touch some on Prop.
I get the chance to sit down and talk to Adam from Yes We Mystic about their new album "10 Seated Figures" and the history of Yes We Mystic.
I finally had a chance to sit down with my pal Mikey and talk all things sound. How he got to where he is and what about sound that intrigues him.
This conversation was awesome. I have known Rusty for some years now but never really had a chance to sit down and talk to him. Well the chance finally presented itself and we made it happen. We talk about his time in some influential bands like The Waking Eyes, The Weakerthans, Imaginary Cities and The Sheepdogs.
I sit down and talk to the guys from Screaming at Traffic and we talk about the new album, the new video and how their drummer never pays for wine.
I had the chance to sit down with 3 of the guys from Winnipeg's own Waster. We talk about the history of the band as well as the new album and video.
This week is a double interview week. I had the chance to sit down with Ami and Austin and talk about music, winnipeg and their journey.
I sit down with the WHOLE band and talk about the beginnings of the band and where they are going. It was really nice to sit down with this whole crew to see the passion they put into their craft and how hard they are working to hone their craft into something truly unique.
I had the chance to sit down and talk to Dylan James from Winnipeg, MB about all his past music ventures and how he got into music in the first place. We nerd out about Propagandhi as well as many other things.
I had the chance earlier in 2018 to sit down between tours and talk lighting with John. He is a incredibly talented human being and was awesome for taking the time to sit down and talk to me. Im looking forward to a part 2
