It's crossover week here on Web Tales with special guest star James from Avenging Tales! We take a look at another Spider-Man commentary. In part one, Spider-Man has to battle a character who would be considered racially insensitive at this point as well as a man that should have been Kraven. In part 2, a purple hooded man has robot women bring him shrunken furniture, that's the jist of it.
Mysterio is back but how is that possible? He supposedly died in prison. Is Spider-Man fighting a ghost?
Just as Spidey crashes the Spider-Mobile into the river, he starts having visions of Mysterio as well as all his other villains. But are these apparitions real, or does Peter have another session with a shrink?
The Jackal has captured Peter and installed an arm disintegration bomb. His mission: bring Spider-Man to the Jackal otherwise Peter's arm goes bye bye. How will he get out of this one? If that isn't enough for you, he still has the Grizzly to content with, who still has a bone to pick with Jonah.
The Grizzly makes his debut and Peter is trying to find a new apartment, nuff said!!!
After getting kicked out of his apartment, Peter needs to find a new home, and the only person who has a room available? Flash Thompson!! Can Peter survive living with his former foe? And also The Mindworm, a new D grade villain who looks like Victor Crowley in short shorts.
Green Goblin isn't messing around! He's kidnapped 3 of Peter's closest people, Aunt May, Mary Jane and Flash Thompson (he's a friend ?!?!) and attached a bomb to one of them. Spidey has to choose the right one, otherwise, someone dies!!!!
The Green Goblin, Spider-Man, and Peter Parker's, most deadly foe is back! But how is that possible, Spider-Man saw him die? Unless there is a new Green Goblin.....
Marcey is back to join us this week for another Spidey '67 commentary! On this episode, the Rhino gets the whole thing as he tries to steal parts to make some kind of machine. Did I mention his hideout is in the rhinoceros pen at the zoo!!! Listen on true believers!!!
We're diving back into ridiculous 60s Spidey comics. After complaining about truckers blocking the Canadian capital, we jumped into part 1 where Electro tries to steal all the electricity in New York. Then in part 2, we get a Z list villain, Parafino, who can turn people into wax statues, and can throw globs of goooo.... these episodes are getting weird.
Spidey's got a gun to his head courtesy of The Punisher! How will he get out of this one and still be able to fight the Tarantula afterwards?
It's another first appearance this week, this time the terryfying Tarantula has his first encounter with the web slinger. Peter tries to take a nice afternoon cruise with his friends but gets interrupted by The Tarantula and his 2 goons as they rob the guests on the cruise. What's worse, Spidey is working with an almost empty web fluid cartridge, how can he possibly stop this caper!!!
This week, the Molten Man is getting even more hot and melty. And to top it off, Spidey got some radiation poisoning from their last encounter so he ain't feeling so hot (pun intended). Can he recover in time to stop old Molty from doing something with space rocks?
No, it's not the Looter, it's the Molten Man! He's back and more molten than ever.
Listeners, you are cordially invited to the nuptials of one May Reilly and Dr Otto Octavius. Bring the tissues as this is a tearjerker and you will be forever moved at the beauty of this wedding for all the ages!!
Happy New Year to all our loyal listeners!! What better way to celebrate the New Year with a first appearance, this one being the legendary Spider-Mobile!! Ok, it's really legendary, Spidey actually spends the whole issue burying the thing. But it sure is a lot of fun! The Jackal is still around and after The Punisher told him to F off, he found a new partner in crime, Hammerhead! Can Spider-Man stop this new duo poised to take over the mob?
This week has not one but TWO huge 1st appearances! The Jackal gets The Punisher all riled up so that he kills Spider-Man, who is still being blamed for the death of Norman Osborn. See how this weird team up goes and with these two stay aligned for long?
In this MEGA sized episode, the 3 Spider-Bros reunite to talk about the latest MCU movie, Spider-Man No Way Home. Can't say much more here except we go into full spoilers so please ensure you've seen the film before listening. Be prepared for lots of marking out!!
In a small departure from our normal episodes, this week Batch and Marc throw out the script and just discuss what they think could happen in the upcoming Spidey movie and other shows like Hawkeye. And most importantly, we cast The Enforcers, a team so powerful Marvel would never dare cast them on film.
We're back with another Spidey '67 commentaries! In the first part, a giant robot with a furnace for a mouth eats everything in sight om nom style and only Spider-Man can stop it. Guess the Avengers were out of town... In part 2, the Green Goblin seemingly learns magic as a new tool against the wall crawler.
This week's episode, things get very bizarre. I'll let the issue speak for itself, but let's just say not all is as it seems....
On this week's show, Spider-Man must investigate a murder right outside Mary Jane's apartment. She's too scared to talk to Peter or the police about it, so Spidey has to put on his detective hat to solve the crime. It somehow all leads to the Vulture so we're going to get some high flying shenanigans this issue as well!!
As if Peter's life isn't bad enough right now, he has to deal with the Kangaroo's return. After undergoing an experiment from a crazy guy with glasses, good old Kangaroo, can... jump higher I guess? Anyway see how Spidey kicks his ass this time.
We got another 2 for 1 this week on Spider-Man '67! In the first episode, Spidey battles the Scorpion and in part 2 it's the Sandman. Will he beats these villains in just as ridiculous ways as the comics? Listen in to find out.
The Man-Wolf is still on the loose looking for.... something? They never really establish it but Jonah ends up getting himself in trouble and Spidey has to save him once again.
Just in time for Halloween, John Jameson (with grey hair for some reason) returns to town and a new villain appears also, The Man-Wolf! Will Spidey be able to stop a man sized werewolf?
Norman Osborn is dead and who does J Jonah Jameson blame? Spider-Man of course! So he gets the best hero for hire in town, Luke Cage. Has Spidey finally met his match?
After last week's landmark issue, we come to you with another classic! Spider-Man is chasing down the Green Goblin in a way he never has before, with his only goal now to kill Norman Osborn once and for all. Will Peter give in to the darkness?
