Welcome to season two of The Casual Tuesdays Book Club, a podcast that brings together my favorite things: literature and casual drinking. Although those principles remain, with the new year there are some changes to the format:
1. All episodes will be about short stories or poems that are available online. This way everyone can participate. I'll announce the topic for the next week at the end of each episode.
2. Weekly episodes are going to be solo. This solves a couple problems actually. The first being the difficulty of scheduling with guests. The second is that in the solo episodes I'm able to get a lot more analysis in a much shorter period of time. This helps relieve my issue with limited RSS hosting space, and makes episodes more commute-friendly.
2a. I will still have guests (I owe season one listeners a silly episode that has been created conceptually but is proving difficult to schedule)and will release guest episodes as bonuses.
Due to limited free RSS hosting by soundcloud, I have to take down older episodes in order to post new ones. Thanks for tuning in. Cheers.
A take on James Baldwin's short story "Going to Meet the Man". This story contains intense violence, sexual activity, and racism, and this episode discusses these things.

This week's episode is about "The Mark on the Wall" by Virginia Woolf. I'm posting it a day early because I'll be driving a lot tomorrow and won't have time. Enjoy.
