The Aftermath

Today Sam Dupe has a conversation with his long time friend Jessica regarding a recent and pretty fresh break up she has had with her boyfriend of almost two years. Something particularly interesting happens a couple weeks after Jessica and her boyfriend broke up ....he started a very visible social media long distance relationship with a woman who he barely even knew.  Although they were broken up Jessica took issue to how her ex moved on afterwards and it forced her to do some soul searching trying to understand why he would attempt to move on in the fashion in which he did. We discuss her feelings about the situation and how his insecurities played a role in their breakup. We also tackle the difference between black men who are used to dating white women and how that can change or alter the relationship dynamic. It is interesting to be able to see the stages of what women go through after a breakup and the aftermath that a breakup can cause. Jessica explains what she thought she could have done better and what she thought that her ex needed that maybe she wasn't giving him or potentially writing when they were together.
