Our Values are in Disarray...Prioritizing Horribly!!!!

Today we are talking about a depressed black community. We discuss why it is that some black communities are in such a distressed state. Can a community as a whole be depressed? We discuss whether or not black communities have pride in things that have been detrimental to us as a whole. Mikell discusses how the black community attacked the church and although the church did have many faults, the church has been vital to our spirituality and has been a hub for improving our communities. Sam, Joe Dupe, and Mikell have a debate about pride and how Mikell thinks that black communities have too much pride which leads to some of the issues that black people have and Sam thinks that black communities have pride in the wrong things and should shift their pride to the things that actually matter. We discuss how it is time for black communities to change their value system in order to make changes. How do we work on our value system and change our environment?
