Men Need Empowering Spaces

Tell Mikell had the privilege of being invited to a Women's Retreat centered around healing and empowerment. Tell Mikell came to give the women a man's perspective and also answer any questions. We discuss what happens when people commit to working on their healing. We also discussed how jealous Tell Mikell was about how many of these spaces that women have to work on themselves and how few of these spaces men have. Why don't we create spaces where men can heal. Men often have impromptu get-togethers that sometimes can turn into real transparent moments and healing spaces, but for some reason, there aren't many planned spaces where men can work on healing. Tell Mikell emphasizes how black men have not been taught or really rewarded for creating spaces of empowerment.
