She is hoping to share this story to encourage those that are in a place where the do not see the light at the end of the tunnel that there is light and that you can overcome the thoughts of no longer wanting to exist. Rita gives a vivid description of what brought her to her initial attempt on her life and how she was saved from that attempt in the custody of the State of Georgia. She also talks about the plans she made during her second attempt while she off away in college. She speaks about what brought her out of that space that she was in and the connections and the people who played a role in her wanting to exist and wanting to be here.
