Today we bring JG onto the show to talk about the epic battle between the hedgefunds and the retail traders over the Gamestop stock. JG explains what a short squeeze is and gives some background on the Gamestop controversy. We talk about why this type of financial revolution should matter to black people and elaborate on how the financial crisis of 2008 left black wealth cut in half. Buying Gamestop stock hurt some of the same predatory companies that took advantage of the common people during the housing crisis. This Gamestop short squeeze situation introduced a lot of new people to the stock market and so we also discuss where the financial market goes from here and how we as normal people can leverage our resources moving forward into the future.
