Episode description

In this thought-provoking episode of Words With Myself, we delve deep into the concept of reality and the illusions we face every day. Our journey explores how we as humans often align our lives with ego and material wealth, mistaking these for true value. This conversation seeks to challenge the norms of society by questioning the intrinsic worth of money and the structures that define our world, encouraging listeners to shift their focus to what truly matters.

The discussion highlights the temporary nature of life, comparing it to the envy of Greek gods who saw meaning in humanity's fleeting moments. We examine the manipulation of the financial system, the role of major conglomerates, and the illusion of ownership and security, urging a collective awakening to reclaim meaningful living. The episode calls for community building and sovereignty, advocating for real connections and values beyond consumerism and superficial gains.

Intro / Opening

Hello and welcome to another episode of Words With Myself.

The Illusion of Seriousness

People take life too seriously, and this is a common phrase but there is a lot of truth to it. But this truth is distorted. It's not to say that what you care about isn't important or doesn't matter, but it's just to say that a lot of the things that we base our life around are ego.

And when you base your life and align your life with ego you are aligning yourself with mistruth and that's not necessarily a bad thing it sounds like a bad thing but it's not we are designed to have a human experience and a prerequisite of that is for us to take it seriously to really feel and believe that you know this is our one life and.

That we have to make the most of it and that kind of stuff we have to take it seriously because otherwise you know we wouldn't take care of ourselves we wouldn't care we would just know that we have this infinite cycle of life and that nothing would have any real meaning the fact that it is temporary the fact that it comes to an end is what makes life so beautiful in greek mythology they say that the gods were almost envious of humanity because everything was temporary so everything meant

more you know the life and the death cycles the love and the pain and the anguish it was almost exciting to them and you can almost probably imagine yourself if you lived forever and you didn't really need anything and you had no drive to achieve anything or you weren't worried about your mortality you would probably live very differently and it would probably be more monotonous you know this is quite an enjoyable experience and this is why we come to

this realm to live this human experience that is plagued by lots of things you know the good and the bad the dichotomies of man we are here to embrace all of that but when we're talking about taking it seriously is taking the game too seriously and forgetting about things that really matter. You could for example focus your entire life on getting money. Money isn't real. It holds no value. It's paper or plastic and, you know, it actually is just a representation of wealth. It doesn't actually

hold any wealth in itself. It has no intrinsic wealth. You can't eat it. You can't drink it. All you can do is trade it for something else. But what you can trade it for is changing every day. And when we think about how much people care about money and the value and importance that they place on it. Yet they are trapped in a system which has led them to believe that if they don't have this thing, then they will die. They will have no access to resources. They will have no access to land or a

place that they can call home. They'll have no shelter. Everything will be taken away from them if they don't have this thing. But they control this thing. They tell you how much it's worth. And we don't see how often and how much it changes because it changes a little every day. But those little changes every day actually accumulate to a very large change over a small period of time.

And yet, if you saw how money really works, if you did the research and educated yourself on the financial system, you will see it's a complete farce. They print money, they change the worth all the time, they lie and manipulate the markets and do all kinds of stuff just to extract your rights and what you have access to. You may for example think that when you put money into the bank.

The bank holds on to that for you and then you come and collect it when you need it or you spend it as you need it.

But that's not what's happening. banks are a for-profit business they make their money off of your money so you give them your money and then they put it to work they're amassing huge amounts of wealth and they're buying land and they're selling things for profits and buying stocks and all of this kind of stuff and they're investing it and accumulating more and more and more money and if we all went to the bank and said give us our money they would say sorry that's not possible they wouldn't

be able to the financial system would collapse because the money isn't there you may see on your bank account those numbers are there okay well this is how much i have but you can't get it you can only be given it and you can only be given it if they let you have it you have given away that money and though it is rightfully yours it's almost like a credit note they've given you an IOU and that's what your bank balance is it's an IOU that money is not yours and even the money

that you do have that goes to shops and it goes to businesses and it goes on cars and houses it goes on land it goes on all of these things. That you need to stay alive. But if you look at who owns these companies, you will see that there's a CEO, but then if you look at who owns the actual company, it will be shareholders.

And those shareholders will be a part of some bigger company and a bigger company and a bigger company until you realize that there are a very few companies that own the entire world. And yet They have got you confused by throwing all of these different brands out there. They've shown you that there's a Coca-Cola and a Starbucks or a Ford Motor Company and a Fiat. But if you saw who truly owns it all, you would be horrified.

Imagine walking out of your house, getting in your car and driving down the street. And all you see is the same few names everywhere, on every car that's on the road, every brand that every person is wearing, everything that they're holding, everything that they own, all has the same few names. Go do it. Go do it right now. Pause this, type in a large company name that you can think of, and then type in who owns this. And it will be a private equity firm.

It will be BlackRock or Vanguard or State Street or Berkshire Hathaway. It's going to be one of these huge conglomerates that just own everything. But they have to maintain the illusion. Because if everywhere you looked, you saw BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, you would immediately feel like you were imprisoned.

Like you were owned by these companies because everything that you can have is something that they are selling you and the currency that you pay for it is owned in mass by them and that's why they are buying up all of the gold. All of the land, all of the things that are actually valuable, that have intrinsic value, those are the things that are being taken away or bought in mass.

And we're all trading our time and energy for stuff that isn't important by land and houses that we're just renting off of them effectively. If we look at our housing contracts, even freehold, you know, it's owned by the king.

If he wants to come and say, yeah, your house is mine now, you have no say in it you don't own your land you don't own your house and if you said that for instance they wanted you to move and you said I'm not moving they would start by playing nicely, and then it would get a bit more vicious and it'd be more threatening and then they would just make your life hell until you didn't want to live there anymore until it was so much stress and taking on a corporation of their size is so

much work that it kills you and ruins your life anyway. So eventually they get what they want. And that sounds incredibly bleak, but only when you start taking it seriously. Already it's begun to seem serious just because we're talking about it. But none of it's real.

The Farce of Money

This is what I'm telling you. Like every part of the world that you see, all of these different companies none of it's real it's not real so why worry why even try to play in their system you know live your life do what you want to do with your life and spend your days how you want to spend them because everything else other than your experience in the present the here and now is a farce it's not real it's either memories which are clouded by our own perception or it

is future where we have no control over it we don't know what's going to happen we can only make assumptions so it's not real the only thing that is real is what you have right here right now and trading that for something as invaluable as money me.

Is ludicrous and i get it the like everyone is thinking the same thing at this point we're all thinking yeah but we've got to eat it's still a practical thing like we get it money is not real but you need money to buy food and need money to buy this and to some degree that's correct you know you have to work on getting as much tangible assets things that are legitimately valuable as possible and sometimes you have to play their game in order to get out of it don't waste your money on giving

it back to them by buying branded clothes and branded cars and all this kind of stuff you're just giving them the money that you've already worked really hard to get and you are trading it for something that isn't valuable it's only valuable because they've built a society that believes it is but instead we have to spend our money on things that are truly valuable while we still can we need to buy land we need to have access to

fresh water sources and we need to grow good crops we need to invest in things that are improving our health buying good quality ingredients and cooking our own meals we need to reclaim our sovereignty and take control of our lives again and focus on what is real. Focus what is true meaning and has true value. And the thing is, we can't do this alone. No one person can do this. And it was well understood back in the day. You can have your farmland and you can say, well, I'm growing my own crops.

But without a community, without people to come together, somebody who understands medicine and can help you if you get sick, somebody who has access to spare crops or a different kind of crop that might survive if yours dies. We need community. We need to come together. It is essential for our survival.

And just because a few of us are looking at the system and going i don't want to play this game anymore we have to band together and say you know what let's build our own system let's survive together let's get together en masse and look after each other do what we need to build and grow and sustain our lives and live good happy lives because that's what we all really want and despite back in the day there was a lot of things that were horrendous you know things like plagues

and constant wars and stuff like that and a lot of us have the privilege of being comfortable but it's not really a privilege they want you to be comfortable because when you're comfortable you are docile you do not take action and docile people that don't take action will happily accept the minimum that they need to be happy. Most people feel like they're not happy with their lives, but they're okay.

They're okay enough to just accept it for what it is. And that is perfect for them because you're going to keep doing things that they want you to do. You're going to keep working for them. You're going to keep giving them your money and they're going to profit from it. So it requires rebellion. It requires community. It requires us coming together. And as someone who is quite solitary, I've been quite reluctant to accept this as a truth.

It's been something that sort of existed in my mind and I've tried to ignore it and pretend like it's not true, but it is true.

We cannot survive on our own. we need each other what we don't need is a system that is constantly draining our life force and doing it just for the sake of more profit more wealth these companies don't care about us they don't give a shit about you they don't care how long you've worked there they don't care that you're loyal or trustworthy or competent they don't care all they care about is keeping wealth to a selected few and

in order to do that they have to convince you that it's in your best interest to do so all these hopes all these dreams all of this hustle culture and wanting to get money and have boats and clothes and all this kind of stuff. All for their profit. They own the boats. They own the clothes. You're giving them your money in order to go and do that. They profit either way. They don't care how you spend your money as long as you are spending it with them.

And they own everything. So it's time that we all wake up and we acknowledge that we are not happy. We are collectively not happy. We are not happy with the rules that are imposed on us, with the way that politicians spend our money and the way that they're owned by private companies and that everything is expensive and we have no control and no freedom, no sovereignty, and we have bought into this complete set of lies.

We see a globe with all of these lines naming countries and cities and towns and continents, and yet if you walk for a thousand miles in any direction, you won't see these lines.

You may come across some walls but you know nothing in nature will tell you that you're in England or you're in France or you're in Turkey or you're in Sudan or you're in Israel it won't say that you will just be amongst the land but yet we so readily have in our brain that we live in a country that we live in a town that we live in a city but none of that is real it's just names on a map and if the map doesn't exist, then neither does any of those boundaries.

It is an illusion that requires all of us to uphold. We have to all buy in to make that real. But it's not real. Like so many other things, it's just not real. So don't take it seriously. Thank you for listening.
