What if we didn't have to feel so fragmented and so disconnected from ourselves and from others. What if you could reconnect all of those complex pieces to create a more whole version of you and make more sense of this really confusing existence we're all trying to navigate. Well, I'm Lean Rhymes and my new podcast, Holy Human does just that. We celebrate and explore the adventure of becoming
more whole and living fuller, more expansive lives. And while you may know me for my singing voice, I am excited and honored to share that voice in a much different way with you, in a really open, honest, and vulnerable way. And yeah, that's super scary because, in many ways, believe it or not, finding my voice has been a real struggle for me, and it called me to embrace many hurdles and obstacles that came with depression, anxiety, and pain that left me feeling incomplete and less than whole.
But I've been fortunate to connect with some really amazing teachers and incredibly wise souls along the path I've been on, and Holy Human is a way for me to connect you with them too, humans who can offer life altering perspective and experience like the wonderfully motivational Lewis House. I'm grateful that I went through the pain in the past because it allows me to be prepared in the present.
And it's funny because in the moment when it seems like it's so chaotic for our lives are happening, I'm going through a breakup or I'm losing my business or whatever, it feels like, gosh, why is this happening to me? And it's not until we can actually reflect and look in the future and say, this is happening for me in a powerful way, and I need to trust and have faith in the future that I need this specifically to happen and in order for something greater to happen.
And I'll get to introduce you to insights from people you may not know yet but who have changed my life, like Somatic Experience and Movement teacher Nicole Loos. What we're paying attention to is our survival physiology. So a lot of time when we learned to pay our attention to our experiences, we learned to try to make sense of our experiences. But with somatic experiencing, we're actually paying attention to our mid and lower brain and what's happening at
a level from more of a survival perspective. Don't worry, I'll be there to translate all of that. This woman changed my life, and I know she can make a tremendous impact on yours too as well. The infectiously positive and practical attitude and advice from guests like my dear friend and life coach Ryan Weiss. Listen, here's the truth.
I just want to see a world in which people learn to slow down and nurture themselves, because I truly believe if we want to see a world that is really fair and has opportunity for every single human being, we all need to be our best in that fight. We all need to be playing our a game to write this world, and the world needs us. And the only way I think we're going to be our best selves is by slowing down and learning how to take
care of ourselves. So it is with my whole heart that I welcome you to join me on Holy Human, where we dive into some tough but totally transforming topics along the way, ones like fear, vulnerability, and learning to trust ourselves and others. And I promised to be there to guide us all through it with love, laughter, and a lot of music too, because that's definitely a big part of what I believe can help connect us all.
Sing that all using with me. You'll find Holy Human with Leanne Rhymes on the I Heart app Apple podcast or wherever you get the podcasts that matter most to you.
