POCcorn - The Lovebirds

The POCcorn podcast reviews films created, directed and/or starring People of Color. Each show uses four questions to describe our thoughts on the film, plus one POCcorn moment we simply MUST discuss in detail.

In this episode, we discuss The Lovebirds and select the "Intro Love Story Montage" scene as our POCcorn moment. This film was such a nice kickback rom-com with two of the best comedic actors currently working. The chemistry was believable and their romantic downfall was extremely believable; as the story kind of starts with a breakup. Through the funny banter and years relationship pet peeves, the couple tries to exonerate themselves from a murder they witnessed, while surviving some outlandish scenarios along the way. We loved it, as it was all fun, no fuss. Listen in!
