GTG: "Girlfriends Talking Girlfriends" Season 3 Ep. 17 & 18

Episode 17 really delves in unlikely pairings as William chooses Sharon over Monica; realizing intimacy in a relationship is all he ever really wanted. Meanwhile, the "odd couple" that is Toni and Todd is culminated when they realize they are in love with each other. Todd seals the deal by proposing to Toni with 4 different types of rings, no less.
We talk about the William/Sharon hookup and what it is we look for in a relationship to make us feel loved and secure. With Toni's predicament, we discuss the hesitancy in Toni accepting that she loves Todd, and what we have found scary in our own love story.

Episode 18 centers around Toni's engagement celebrations, and Joan's reluctance to be a fully supporting friend/bridesmaid when she herself is jealous that she is not the bride. Joan takes all of her frustrations out on Ellis (her current boyfriend), deflecting her real issues onto their relationship. We discuss Joan's shortcomings in this episode, and every one prior, that has gotten her to this point.
