Episode 12's setting is in an open mic event where Lynn falls in "lust" with an incredible poet, who also happens to be celibate. Inspired by the episode, we take a walk down memory lane talking promise rings and college poetry readings. But our main topic centered around Ellis (Joan's boyfriend) and his rejection from the black community. We go over reasons black celebrities disappoint the communities they come from, as well as reasons black communities shun black celebrities in turn. Listen in!
