Introduction to Metacast

Hey, this is Ilya.

I'm Jenny.

And I'm Arnab. We are the creators of Metacast. We're a small team on the quest to build the perfect podcast app. Thanks for installing Metacast. Let us quickly walk you through the basics of the app in a couple of minutes.

The screen you're looking at right now is the episode player. It has a transcript that syncs with audio as you listen. If you want to read or skip parts of the episode, just start scrolling and double tap the transcript to play from there. To synchronize the transcript with audio, tap the blue button at the bottom right.

If you want to quickly find something in an episode, you can search the transcript just like a text document. Tap the three dots in the bottom right corner and tap search. Type the text you want to search, scroll around and double tap anywhere to play.

To save a part of the podcast for the future, you can bookmark it. But first things first, in Metacast, everything is a swipe. Anytime you see a list anywhere in the app, try swiping to reveal the actions. Swipe anywhere on the transcript. Your bookmark is now saved.

The rest of the app is very intuitive, just remember that everything is a swipe. Swipe to add an episode to the Listen Later playlist, swipe to download, and swipe to share.
