I opened the 2022 Wedding Pro CEO Summit encouraging all in attendance to be a Humble Learner. The theme of the summit was to help established wedding business owners to scale beyond the hamster wheel and become the CEO of their business.
I wanted everyone to learn a lesson from a Tiktok my husband shared with me. The philosopher, Epictetus was the subject of this short video.
From that Tiktok the subject of this opening presentation was born. Epictetus teaches that you cannot learn what you think you already know.
To be a successful wedding business owner, it is important to have an open mind and to be a humble learner, check your ego at the door and be vulnerable. You may learn something that can help you to completely rethink the process you thought was great.
