I used to be able to go two weeks a week and a half without filling up, now filling up every week, and Costco gas was like to forty two thirty something last week. I mean, I'm sorry. Four Look, I want y'all to realize me. And you know, two dollar gas prices.

It's Trump was an office. But okay, I'm not gonna go there. Okay, but eight nine is and I used premium, so I don't know how much the regular gas was, but four dollars and eighty nine cents. So I just to give you guys some stock tips. I'm definitely in all the energy stocks right now because I'm sure ain't going down no time soon. Gas prices is a tax on the middle class. That's what they're doing right now.

They pay, we get we're paying their stimulus back. Yes, stimulus p p p E D. I L get it back. And gas they said we're gonna get come get it back and gas to get it back in blood. y'all like it or not, were the poor people. And it's capitalistic society, like thirty percent of the people got to be at the bottom, and we had thirty percent job along way a lot of others. But for the most part, and we already know we don't get married at the same rate as other groups of people. So we just want to dissect some of this stuff. And um, we wan't talk about it. So what do you think?

Do you think do you think poor people uh get married for love as opposed to more affluent people possibly married getting married like for real, because it's like a business transaction. Well, based on your definition of poor people, that's all I know. So I can't really answer the question because I don't know nobody else these niggas is getting married. So I'm gonna go with, yeah, they getting

married for love, bored enough, fluid? I don't know, so I think that uh maybe people with lower income I don't want to say poor people, but it's funny, Okay, it is funny. People and lord income brackets oftentimes stay together long good because of necessity. Um, they stay together

out of necessity, maybe obligations. You already have kids, you start accumulating things like how even if we can just talk about people who, um you own a home, like say for ends, you median income people right right now we know that millionaires. That's the middle class now. So really, if you don't have I want to say ship, if you an't got two million dollars, man, you might be struggling out here. You see how much gasses we just talked about it. The median rent this summer is supposed

to be going up to two. I literally literally looked at a place in Charlotte one night. I woke up the next morning and the ship was like five dollars more for rank I don't like. Okay, yeah, so how are people surviving? We're gonna have to start getting married for love, look not for love either. You better find you a partner. But see, this world is based on double occupancy if you think about it. Year. So you're

great great grandma. Did she get married for love or did she get married for secure d someone to take care of the family. I would lean more towards security. Even then when when a lot more people didn't have as much resources, I would lean more towards security. She definitely stayed for security too, right because great Granddad and might have had a whole another family down the street. The great grandma knew about. That's for niggas with that check.

Cheating is not for a regular men, Okay, Like it's just not. So don't come talking about the godda polygamy. Boy, you don't make enough. Let me ask you this, both of us being uh in our thirties somewhere in there, do you feel like you you're not married because of Well, let me just ask you, why do you feel like you aren't married? I don't want to speculate. UM, So I've talked about it before I was engaged, but I

didn't get engaged until what thirty five? Um, I feel like I could have been married earlier on in life. But I think UM, partner selection is always very important. You know what I'm saying to people that you allowed to have access to you probably weren't on UM. Marriage. We we know just based on the conversations we see online amongst black men and women. Marriage is not like at the top of people's list, especially black men. I don't think UM. So you have to get with a

marriage minded person. So if you spend so much time just dating, being boyfriend and girlfriend with somebody who wasn't marriage minded, you wake up five years later and you ain't married. Relationships our and now you're moving on to the next. So I feel like that that's been my case.

I feel like I could have been married had I picked a different person um as opposed to people I picked when I was in relationships earlier on, Like in my mid twenties, I would say I could have been married because I knew some men who were marriage minded, but I didn't choose them for me. It's a little bit different. I think. I don't know what's happened to me, But around twenty the thought I was turned into a whole nigga, and like the thought of marriage was like

one person for the rest of my life. I can't breathe one stroke, the only stroke forever. And yes I have panic attack. I couldn't like the thought of marriage was just like scary to me. Like I just didn't see myself with I didn't aspire to that at all. I aspired to money and career and experiences, but not marriage as like you. Right, So I can say, like I said outside, I know I knew men who were marriage minded, but at the same race, the same thing

you just said. I chased money my my entire twenties, and it's kind of hustling backwards. Um. And that's why before the break, I was saying how black women need to date more like our our white counterparts. They're dating like their parents allowed them to date in their twenties and stuff like that. You know what I'm saying. Usually

black women we start dating in college. Like college you might have been even if you had were having sex before college, you didn't really start like dating and um juggling. Men like to figure out what did these women start earlier in life? So they go to college and they come up with a degree and a ring. We don't put the emphasis on um marriage as much as our white counterparts. We tell black girls to go to college, get your education because you can't depend on a man

is what young girls are told. Mm hmm. And then you have attachment issues to the wrong man when you do start dating later. You know, because I was dating in college, I was dating it would be nice boys from the Islands who are really smart in school that was just in love with me. But no, who I'm with the dope boy stupid because he's driving a Cadillac truck with me. And then went to present and now that nice, that nice uh island boy is probably somewhere

with his own practice somewhere. Shame on me. Yep, that that do that boat, that do be that bullshit. But that's the importance of dating. So you and then you have to also have guidance from your your mom. But if nobody ever talked to her about anything, how you gonna talk to you about it? Yeah, So this past weekend, one thing I did do is I have a sixteen year old niece. She's she's uh, um, you know, going in eleventh grade. Um, she's taking college courses. She's very very,

very very smart. The boy she's dating has dropped out of high school mhm. And I was trying to have a serious conversation with her about her future because nobody ever did that for me. Of course she's sexually active all that ship. The worst thing that could possibly happen is that you get pregnant and then now you gotta

get married for love. Mm hmm. That's bullshit. At sixteen, somebody needs to be like talking to you and trying to help you get some type of blueprint on what to do, like when you get to college, because you never know, you don't know what you want to do. Really, I don't want to. I still have that little fairy

tale in my soul about marrying for love too. I don't want to, like just say, don't marry still love, don't marry just for security, right, But I know no, absolutely, But I'm leaning towards more so of maybe finding somebody that's equally your yoke, because because what I told her was this guy you currently dating, you're gonna be taking care of him nine times I attend if you stay in him, m hmm, you'll be taking care of him.

You'll you'll probably not go away to college and do the things that you should have been doing because of love for him. Right, You're gonna start um just just being a dumb bitch. Okay, let's be clear, just being a dumb bitch for the wrong person, and we oftentimes stay in relationships way past the expiration date. And I don't want that for her, But at sixteen, I feel like somebody should have those conversations with young women. Alright.

So I have a friend who married a man who wasn't as successful or ambitious as her from the from the jump right, and then uh, ten years they have kids. Years later, she ended up leaving him because he wasn't what she wanted financially, he never reached the potential she

may have seen in him. But then after a few years out here in these streets, she went back to him, and they're happiest two little peas in the pot now because she had to let go of that expectation because they are doing well with her, you know, with her doing well, they are doing well, so and she happier than a lot of people I know in her marriage. So it's a slippery slope when it comes to like giving that advice. I don't know, like, you know what,

what what's more important? Could you be happy with less? Now? You know? You like to play that little game we have guests on would you want to be? What's the question you'd be asking happy and happy and rich happy and broke or Richard said, yeah, right, which one for you? You see the title of this ship Richard Richard Richard sad because I feel like you're not gonna be sad forever. You can grow to love your partner, you know what

I'm saying. Like, there's also the saying that the man has to love a woman more in order for the relationship to work. I know you've heard that. I really feel like it's hard to find two people that are simultaneously in love the same amount at the same time. That's really rare, right, So usually like somebody's loving on somebody more. It's always somebody who's chasing who's always there. But they can go back and forth, and I think

that's healthy for it to go back and forth. Yeah, yeah, because being in love is nothing more than a state of mind. So every day you gotta do ship to fall in love and stay in love with the person

you with, or you've fallen out of love. That's just it, right, because I mean, you really have to convince yourself sometimes that you're in live with somebody, Like you can talk yourself into loving somebody in your head, right, all right, So and money makes that conversation with yourself easier the fuck it makes it that conversation easy, like you think. is supposed to be with? But Beyonce could have been with a plethora of other men who are the same caliber man as jay Z. Right, but this is the person she chose to build that life with.
