Honestly, it's like just being an observer for once, because when y'all be putting too much emotion into into ship. Thank you so much for having me tell our listeners a little bit about yourself. Chris. You know I'm Chris Gabs born in Africa. More specifically, in Congo, raised in Sweden, Stockholm, and moved to Ireland at fourteen. I'm a music producer, creative person. I'm a friend, I'm my brother and my cousin, my son. You know, I'm a lover, you know, guy man, I'm a happy person general. I love I love life and I love the idea of living. Think there's a beautiful thing just to be a life. Yeah, Chris is

a super lovel boy. Okay, let's be so just jumping that. DM Chris cat crist Cabs on Instagram. So how did you get into music, Chris? I think they started with my family, you know, my whole family. It's it's musical. My dad used to be a quiet master, you know, back in the seminies whatever. Church yeah, church yeah, church, Yeah, that's where he met my mom. Mom was also acquired master as well. So the mad in the same church.

Long story short, feel in love, got married and they made me and then I remember I remember one time because because my daddy used to have this you know, back in Africa, right, he used to have this huge cave right where he kept he stored all types of instruments, you know, conarls, drums, bays, whatever, somehow fed a lot with with with with drums. So drums was like my first instrument that I started learning by myself. So I said, don't play drums, and from drums and moved to piano.

From piano, I started learning how to produce be Shout out to my uncle Fabrics. He's the one that actually introduced the whole software music software. So he showed me back in Germany. He goes, hey, you know, with your talent, you could really do more. And then he introduced to me the software called Cube's back then and from Cube's start learning how to program music on computer. And fast forward now we're here, right, So Chris produces music. So I know one of my favorite songs is more and

I love Jealousy and the beats on these songs are exceptional. Okay, my favorite songs from Chris appreciate. So wait, you you you produced the songs, but is it also you who recorded the song or is everything? So basically I have a production company, you know, and within the company we have I have a studio with all types of equipment in order to produce sound, you know, to be representable for the radio, for the listeners. So I have that. So that's like eight of of of me bringing into

the industry. So I have the ability to create sound from scratch, you know, picking sound and you know which one works in and which one not. So I just have the ear to know watch sound works with watch sound. And by doing that, you know, um, I can create whatever. I played piano, I play keys and play drums, and that's how I made all my songs, just by hearing and and then you create. I write as well, but I do have few writers around. Uh. One of my main write us is J L. Well, that's the guy

on the track no Joke. He wrote. He co wrote some of my songs with me. But I do write my own songs like I do, I do compose the concept. How important is it for people in the music business to be able to do you know a lot of this stuff yourself, you know what I'm saying, Because even like with us with podcasting, you know, one monkey ain't gonna stop no show over here because we can pretty

much do a lot of this stuff ourselves. So how important is that you know, learning the actual business music business, and you know, also being able to do your own production right. So for me, it was more like I didn't know about I didn't know about the business, you know, I didn't I didn't know Like I remember my first beat, the assoul to any artists was five euros that's like twenty dollars, you know. Because I didn't know my worth,

I didn't know how to go about it right. So it took me a good ten years to study to just know what to do, how to do, how to capitalize, how to negotiate and this and that, you know. But again it can with error. I've made a lot of mistakes in the process because I just didn't know what to do with it, you know. But of course the fact that I was always hungry, I was passionate, I had there's there's there's passion to just be great, you know, because when you want to be great, you do whatever

it takes to be great, you know. And by doing that, you start doing your own due diligence, you know, you start learning about productions and royalties and being registered like you know, copyright my Chris Gay's name is now licensed and all that stuff. That I'm not just an artist, I'm a business. You know. There was no feelings in business. It's a fact and report only. You start learning about that. It start just to become more mature, mature, mature, um.

So basically it was more like the more I know, the better I could negotiate. Right, The more I know, the better I knew how to how to navigate through the industry. Because the industry that I'm all is very toxic, very complex. So if you you don't have the right the right mindset or the right information that anybody can use you, it's a game. So there was a song that I was listening to you of yours a little

while ago, Jealousy Did you write that? I wrote that song from scratch everything, every words, So that came from a personal place. Let's talk about it. Broke us up. Where are you from? Where are you from? Where are you from? How dad you get here? Get here? Get here? I'd be trying to run away from you? You you for more? Pretty much this was a well what happened? Tell us the story behind the motivation. Basically, the song I was inspired by by my own life, life life situation.

You know, I had this this this this person who I used to date back in the day, who didn't understand my lifestyle, who didn't understand my schedule or my my slipping pattern, you know, because because being in all, it's like we could be bad sleeping. Then if if I'm inspired, I wake up in the middle of the night and start creating as to create. That's what you're saying. One time, one time, One time, I was actually doing it,

and then I got its tongue in my head. I'm like, I love you, hold on, I have something to play in my head. I know it's weird, I get it, but I have to go and just later on some cause she never understood my lifestyle. She just didn't get it. And then every time when I was in fun or we could being a date and then I see I see a number in the name, I'm like, yo, this person, it's the next big deal. I gotta pick it up.

She goes she can't wait. I'm like, either I make her weight and then we're gonna end up taking this bus to date, or I pick up this car next time we don't drive and we see this today, you choose, And then things got toxic because she never understood how

this game works. Don't answer that phone exactly like we're crying over here, listening like you you let me pick up this car and next time, we're gonna be on the on the jet or I'll tell him to call and letter and then we're gonna steer taking this bus and trained to do whatever we're going. You choose, then she goes a great but then eventually I was like, you know what, it's not gonna work because jealousy going

the way. You can't understand that in this industry, you did it with men, men and women and gage people too sometimes also want you. So it's gonna hard for me to make her understand that it's a game of throne. Man. You know, you have to understand or just don't try. And then she walked away. So she basically she wanted to be prioritized over your career. Yeah, well back then I wasn't really in that space to prioritizing anybody because I was very very on my game. I was like, no,

like you you just got here. I've been doing this before you came here. As why would I just told my life away because of pussy? You know what I'm saying, Well, if you viewed her as pussy, then exactly I kind of help you just get rid of her then, right, If you viewed her as pussy, I mean if that's why she presented to me, So that's why she I guess that's what she wanted me to see. Are you saying that's all the value she had? That's what I'm trying to say, that's the thing that she presented first.

Oh my life. Are you sure you ain't present that dick first? Do you think there's healthy jealousy in a relationship? Yeah, of course. If if you don't a jealous then you don't care. I want you to. I want you to be jealous. I want you to to ask me who's who's calling you. I want you to ask me what time you're coming home. I want you to to to feed up away from doing certain things. Even though you trust me, but I still want you to feel a

little bit, you know, jealous about what I'm doing. If we have a jealous God while not having a jealous woman or man. But at the same rate, you just said that you you left a relationship with somebody who because she was too jealous. But you do, at the same time want somebody who be talking you, questioning you. You want a little toxicity, it's what you're saying. It's more like I want you to know what I'm doing, But don't don't doubt me. I don't like people down

because I got no reason to lie to you. If you ask me where you were, yeah, I'm here, I'm doing next z. That's that's the truth. I don't. You don't pay me to be your man. You don't pay me to have sex with you. You don't pay me to be with you. So what would allow to you? I mean I would like to my boss, maybe my manager. He was all the time for no reason. when you've reached that line? I think it's when it's getting unhealthy, unbalanced, unreasonable, toxic, when you're still asking dumb questions like how long were you were you on the phone? Tail or how far you from home? Or like every time I want to call you, you don't pick up, but then you call me back after ten minutes, after five minutes, you know, like um, or when you get home, let me smell your dick. Put your pads down and let me smell your dick right now. If you do that,

we'll be done. Like It's kind of like, because you see my my my red flag is when you doubt me. Why would you doubt me? Why? Why you know what I'm saying. It's kind of like if I see for me, if that girl takes me something, I believe you, Like I've got no reason not to unless you can make a reason to not believe. I'm very black and white if I if I tell you, I'll maintain minutes. If I'm led, I'll give a reason why I'm late. If you doubt me twice, A'm mad. I'm like, why would

No, that's that's asking because I wouldn't want you asking those questions of me after four days.

why aren't you expressing it? That's toxic? That's what I said. What I say was, it's all depending on your questions and how you go about it. It's your approach, m it's your it's your approach, like how you I think it's all down to your tone, right, your energy, and I feel those things and you could ask me the most harsh question ever. But if you haven't the right approach and the right that the right energy, I'll be oh, yeah, actually, yeah, this did this happened? Lets you go, you go, whether

Like I was like looking at a list of different things, and I didn't realize there was such a thing as healthy jealousy. I think I'm very, uh, territorial type of man. So I think I'm protective type of guy. If you're my wife, my girl, or my future girlfriend or a future fiance, I'll be protective because

I care about you, right, because I love you. So if you love someone, you would have a sense of um ownership. You own that you don't own her, but you own the situation to your own situation, right, I want you to feel protected. Your baby, you're good, Yeah, I'm I'm only calling to check up and you okay, how was your day? Baby? By the time, would you be hung? Okay? Let me know how it works, goes allow you and mess you have a last baby, Bam.

That's just me making sure that you're good and I'm good because if if I don't call you, you're the same person who's gonna say, baby, how come? How come you never come even the work even you know, quick call, you know, even a text. So I make sure that and also let me know, let me know if I'm doing too much, you know, if you feel like I'm too much in your case, just let me know. My damn baby. We're gonna talk because it's it's it's all about protecting your mental So if if you're attitudes start your affects my mental we gotta talk about it. Man, it's my life first, right, So when I say like, keep it in my mind that that's not me not communicating because I am the type of person that I have to communicate how I

feel about somethinghere else I can't sleep at night. So it'd be like the small little things, Like I said, I get jealous about everything. It'd be little ship that I gotta keep to myself because it might be petty for me to even ask you about it. Sho, I'm gonna ask you about now those little things I duped, I jopped, and then eventually one day you're gonna explode from a little thing. So I always talk, man, it's it's it's um. It's um therapeutic to just talk, because

that's that's all we have. Me I'm the opposite. I don't get jealous about nothing. I don't never get jealous and then be thinking like do you even care? But I do care. If you don't get jealous, then it's gonna be hard for me to trust you. Why I don't get jealous, Like how I can trust you? Then I would like be like okay for a lot of ship. I mean yeah, but so nothing bothers you that a

man does with another woman. That's what we're saying. Like if you talk to somebody and you see him doing something or I don't know, so you don't get jealous about anything and got a question of nigga about some ship, That's that's what we're saying. My girl came to see me, right, so she was on the front row. I'm doing my show performing, put your hands in the air, singing my son. The band is doing good. I'm feeling good. Whatever I saw my girl had baby, you know, I'm saying, like, the vibe is great. And then there was this dude

that I don't really funk. I don't like this guy energy. I just don't like this guy. But then because according to the people, we were looking like so we kind of have the same vibe, same high, you know what I'm saying. So that day what I was performing, he just he walked straight out into my girl and start talking to my girl like we spending some ship to my girl, and while I'm actually doing my performance and I'm seeing him doing that. And then after that he

stood ride behind my girl watching me. So my girl was like in front of her and then he was like behind her. So then it made it seemed like they were together. So I'm doing my set, I shared you not I caught my set short. That's that's the go down't says to the audience. And I dressed that nigga was m down, yo, mind you I'm performing White Dot and I see this, this guy doing this, my girl, you're good? Yeah, yeah, whatever you and my girl doing this.

I'm start looking up mind you she short looking up. I'm like, I know, I don't know why. I caught my yo. I told my band Bloom got the song. I put the mic back on the understand, I walked down. I went to the guy. I'm like, my nigga, you're good, bro, what's you doing? But my girand was like day, she was like Chris, she was actually I mean, he was actually begging you up. Now he wasn't stuff lying to me. I know this guy. Now, he was actually begging you out.

You're lying to me man. One, I was embarrassed. Two, he was actually telling her how good I was on stage. That was embarrassing. Yeah, you're like, damn, he's doing this thing, ain't it Now? I cut that ship short. That's the last motherfucker song. Cut it right now. Let me talk to you a real quick. Yeah. I think that's my highlight of my jealousy moment. I think that's then the win. I started to be more, you know, more open that you don't own that person. She has her own life,

you know, learn how to trust your women. Don't trust a guy, but learning how to trust a woman. That's kind of how I am now, Like I'm learning how to trust the person I'm with because I know her. I don't know whoever it comes to her comes to home. Because most of my women are also attractive. It's flattering when niggas want your girl, that that means that you've got something good. That's good jealousy, right, So that's the

time where jealousy is good. So we should get into the list that we have, you know, some some healthy jealousy and a relationship. And that's actually like the first one someone is giving flirtatious vibes to your partner, like that can make you want them more, right, or it can make you in your show? Now, for me, it's more like

It's like, I don't know how to be jealous. I don't know how to just because see me, I don't know if I could handle it that way.

If I'm like really sitting in the midst of upset over all that I've taken and you're bragging, I might like express some happiness for you, but I will also say, like, I know I probably could be a little bit more happy for you right now, but I'm just really upset about my live show. But I'm so happy that they're

I think I think your partners should have at least emotional you know, intelligence to know when to celebrate, you know, to know when to what I'm saying like, they should just know that's not we can't make those assumptions. like there is no pressure. I just want you to be you for me, Like I'm expecting nothing but love and respect from you, right, and then I want you I'll also give you the same. Let's have that because like all the extra ship it brings, it brings nothing but unhappiness, toxicity, and stress. So what I'm saying, if you stress my life for for too long, I'll walk away.

That is because I care about my life so much and I just started living, and I'm saying, my life is moving forward and I want you to be a part of it. go shopping. M And I'm like, hell yeah, I ain't never wrote on the PJ before, right, right. So then I talked to my man about it, and he forbid me to go insecure because he couldn't go that's a mess. Stop, yo, I've paid a trip to my girl just to go have phone. Yes, you know your money, pucket money, go with your friend, had some far I see you next week. I'll see you on Tuesdays. Because I don't see how that's healthy jealousy. This is the healthy jealousy list. He

not lived. No, he's not happy, he's he's just insecure. Basically, he never imagined you'd been in proper yet. And he didn't want me on that plane. He was like, what they trying to do? Funk you on the plane. I'm like, no, you got a friend. That's fifty not he didn't see he didn't he didn't see it coming. You didn't know that one day, my good might be in the proper jet. He only saw you been a boss trained uber's talking about what do you mean, how is it possible doing

that ship without me in the air? Didn't Oh wow, I would have. I would have went and we would have broke up. Oh did y'all live together though? Yeah? We lived together. Just to keep the peace in my house. I just didn't go. You know, imagine him being invited onto a private jet and you causing some rockets and him he would still have wind and just you would have Just that's where things be. That's unfair because like you would have been careful him to go, because he's

a man exactly like my, my, my, my. When I have a girl, if you guys, don't you know nowadays for some reason, girlfriends they got a bunch of many friends. I don't know what it is about that ship, right, but I get it right, I get the same way. You know what I'm saying, So I understand. So if my girl has to go out with some man friends for gold card or do you know what, I don't allow cinema. That's one thing I don't allow together. No, you're not gonna go with the main friends and movies.

I don't know because I know what I do in the movies. If you're my friend, what you do in the movies. I'm an artist. I'm saying, I'm trying. I'm talking for inspiration. So I know what I did the movie saying I'm trying to find you inspiration. Uh, I just know what I do. So if it nigger, who is it? Who is a female friend? Of all the places? Nickle that win? Don't mind me to do your thing. I will get used to it now, I mean for me, again, it's it's all about trust, right, but certain things you

just know you know. Um. For me, I think that if you are in a relationship, you know, you gotta conduct yourself and sush because you're not single. So I think that, Um, it's it's complicated. Man. Again, being jealous it's a good thing. It is getting messed up when you don't know how to control it. I think everyone is jealous. My poppylar, jealous, my dog and jealous. When I spent too much time with friends, are like doing to my stuff and then I don't give attention. She's gonna scratch my leg. That's gonna give me some ash legs and ship. Yeah, but j'al is it. It's a it's a feeling that you just uh you know, a manager, right. So um. At the top of the unhealthy list, the very first one is they want you alone. And this is like they want you alone all the time, you know what I'm saying, Like they're trying to take

up every moment of your free time. I know. I was talking to somebody just the other day and she was talking about her daughter and how you know, her daughter just came up for work. Her and a guy like FaceTime all the time, every day, all all throughout the day. They live. They live in separate houses. They always face time and right. So this particular day, she came up from work and she just wanted to chill her daughter. So the guy was like, Okay, you want

to chill, I'll talk to you next week Sunday. Like that's abuse because you don't want to face time because you just want to chill and have some you time, I'm gonna punish you and tell you okay, then I'm not going to talk to you until next week Sunday. Then. See, that's not even that's not even toxicity at this point. That's just been that's hitler, bro, That's just it's abusive, you know what I'm saying. So jealousy can be good.

There's healthy jealousy and there's the abusive. But that's no jealousy. That's controlling. That's that's that's that's them trying to literally manipulate your your mind. Mm hmm. And I'm not gonna lie. I was never that type of guy, but I always wanted to feel like I'm controlling something until when I lost that something or that someone that taught me that you can only control yourself. That's it, right, I can only control me. But I think it comes with with practice. Man,

it's really all here. It's it's mental, you know, learning how to I'm learning how to respect and control yourself. That's uh, some emotional excuse right there. So yeah, so I think that you can't teach your men how to love you. There's you know, what to do with you. If they don't you have, you can't teach them unless you have a weird power to change your or to

do better the man, right, because I do. But I do feel like, yeah, so yeah, when I always have to teach people how you want to be treated, you kind of have to guide people in a way because they'll just you know, they'll handle you how the last

person allowed them. Yeah. But also it's kind of like, come on, if I want to be with time bam or edge A, right, I should be in this eight five percent awhere kind of I know what to do, I know how to behave at least, and then it's me studying you been learning how you as a person, But you shouldn't teach me how to love you tell me things you like and things that you don't like, and then with the help of my emotional skill capacity, I'll be able to to navigate through your universe. Because

it's because because being a woman, it's a whole. It's a whole university. Man, you gotta learn that ship if you if you're dumb from the jump, you're not gonna handle that ship. y'all and get tested, I would not have known. So so thank you for that. I wrote him a letter telling him off, and I haven't contacted him since. Keep on talking back, miss A j and Tam Bam is clearly needed and gave you the clowp. That's the clown. I don't confused that she said they weren't intimate. I guess at some point they did get intimate. Thing. You can't get clamidia from talking, and you can't just walk out. You can't just fly from city to city with it either.
