John Owen was an English nonconformist church leader, theologian, and academic administrator at the University of Oxford during the 17th century. John helped revive the idea that it is only by the grace of God and merits of Christ that the sinner receives the gift of faith to believe in Christ. Owen's most famous work, which is read widely today, is The Mortification of Sin. To learn more about Owen's life and legacy, hear from Rev. Daniel Hyde, Pastor of Oceanside United Reformed Church.
