And this is your first time tuning in. Welcome Vitamin D. It's a pun of my name. My name is Dawn and you get Vitamin D from the sun. So I'm here a shed light

into your life. And I do this with inspirational insights and conversations with celebrities and everyday people like you and me, Because if you want to be better and you want to do better, then you're going to have to be able to see better. So join me on this journey of living our best lives and understanding and realizing how you are your greatest ass at get your vite in Indy right with me, and get excited about your life. It's so important for us to realize that we're all

alone right now. And that's why you'll hear me say we're here for a good time, not a long time. So let's make a count. Let's choose to live our lives one purpose and for a purpose. And it really instilled in me when I had a moment to spend a day with Miss Maryland. I spoke about them previously in an episode where I told you they were calling the shootout and then mister Meridith had a heart attack. Well he ended up having to get surgery multiple times.

And so one day Miss Maryland called me and we said prayer, and then the following day I ended up going to visit them. And I had spent a whole day with Miss Maryland and it was amazing. We went down and took a bad back to Walmart. We had lunch, had fish, fried fish and filey a soul. We went down to the alley. She got me some shoes like and we really bonded and got a chance to know each other. And I saw her interaction with so many

people everywhere. We went to love her light and how it shined like Miss Maryland passes out these pantsas I love Jesus, and when you would see people and how they would light up when they saw these, when they received these answar was amazing. And then she gives away these bracelets and Miss Marilyn is not shy to talk about her decorated past of being incarcerated and who what she's done because she knows that the grace that God has given her for what she has right now, and

therefore can walk in so much gratitude. That's why they say gratitude is everything. The more grateful we are, the more things we have to be grateful for, and being able to live through it all and still persevere through it all, and God keeps blessing through it all. She said, we're all on loan, and we have to realize that when we give blessings, they beget blessing. So it's kind of like not it's kind of and it's like a circle of blessings of life. How much you give, you

receive and it keeps flowing. And what you realize is that you're not trying to just hold on to it and hold so many things because it's a loan for you. We only here for a finite time. And when we can walk in that gratitude and no one that it's not mine to hoard to myself and how to give

you realize how gratitude is everything. The more grateful we are, the more things we have to be grateful for, and how we'll never get this time ever again, and it's so important for us to truly experience life and to thank God for it all. And it's the thing where you gotta try God to know God truly, truly, truly. For someone that has never experienced a moment in their life when there was nothing that they could do but just staying and somehow they made it through, well, that's

a but God's situation. And that's why I always remind myself constantly, I've survived one hundred percent of the worst days of my life, and the same God that's right now is the same guy back then. And there were times where I felt like I wasn't gonna make it, but I'm still here. Why Because you can't fail if

you don't quit. And when you realize that every day you could have stopped but you didn't, you realize how precious it is and how a smile on somebody's face Because you don't know who fought to get up this morning. You don't know who's still fighting to get up this morning. You don't know what somebody has been through. Heck, what

are you going through? That's why we got to remember we're all here on law, because it can just be one situation one breakup, one loss that can change your entire life, change the entire trajectory of your life, your dreams, and your ambitions. So I want to remind you that we're on long We here for a good time, not a long time. That's why we got to make a count. We have to choose to live our life on purpose and for a purpose and not take it for granted

that it will be here the same as always. Time is so precious. I felt myself getting emotional, and I didn't feel I did get emotional speaking with my nephew, tell Jane he's turning sixteen this year. He's so excited about his birthday, and I'm reflecting. I said, oh my goodness, I said, last time I saw you was back in it was it July or August, September, one of than

three months. But it wasn't for a good reason. His papa had transitioned and I was only in there for a blip, and we were saying how it wasn't for a good occasion. But I want to go out there again, and you know, just trying to figure out the right time because time is moving on and it's going fast. And I know when I called him he had this de voice. I said, who is this? Because if I just will go to what I said, all of this space with my baby, yeah, he going into a grown hole. Man'

here for a good time, not a long time. So let's make a count. Let's be present, Let's walk in gratitude, Let's walk in peace because we deserve that. And I'm just so grateful for Miss Maryland, for her opening up

her heart, her spirit. I mean even to the point where when I went to the hospital, I had just thrown some sweats because I'm just in and out, and it reminded me of just grateful for the opportunity I had on an FM out because when Miss Maryland came down, I had another security officer, a woman and another woman came back because they just wanted to meet me. They said, we've been looking for you. Where have you been? And I told them I said no, I'm no longer with

kJ LH. And it was lie. I was like, but you can find me on Facebook live. I'm still on there for tons and times and and Tunson and Tuesday and tell miss something good Thursday. So I was telling them that they can catch me then, and so we go upstairs right before I go see Meredith and I'm talking to it the I guess she's running the nurse's station or a guess. I don't know what it is. But on that floor, whoever you go to for the information,

are you trying to find out that woman? And I'm talking to her and Miss Marilyn, like you know, she was on KJLH and a girl looked at me. She said, oh my gosh, I can hear it now, and she was talking about how she enjoyed and the inspiration behind it. And so I saw miss and Meredith and he was so elated, and I hugged him and spoke life over him, and he asked about Jeremiah and I told him, I said, you know, he's no longer with the team or with the show, but he wanted to wish to send him

well wishes. And it just really touched my heart, because you know, we're here for a good time, not a long time. Let's make it count. And no, we're not perfect, Like I said, we all got some type of paths. And who would we just say who got more decorated or not because we didn't all did something. But when we realized how precious it is and what that grace

can do. It's behavior that covers us. So Meridithech recounted the situation, what happened with the shootout, how he could have just went over one inch to the right or left where his eye was and it could have went through his head. But God, and I just got the news. Miss Maryland just hit me and said he getting checked out, So won't he do it? I'm telling you, you got to try God to know God. So after we left and I told you we had that fun filed day with

Mss Maryland. Right when we're leaving out of the hospital, he was over checked in at Veterans. I passed by these two housekeepers and I was telling him, you were talking about the job opportunity. I'm telling about Facebook Live. You gotta check it out. You got to check it out. And I'm just grateful because I'm realizing, like the impact I can have to inspire people and give resources an opportunity,

how people are waiting to receive it so much. So as we're leaving out, as Miss Maryland and I were about to have our fun feel day, because we were out from like nine thirty to like five, the same security guard that I told you when I first came in and had recognized me and was like, oh, I want to see if it was really you. I ended up having her to take a selfie of us on her phone because she said, I just told my husband I met you, and I was like, I was just asking.

I was like, where is she? Where is she? And I said really? And then she looked at me. She was like, I don't even want to get emotional. She was like, but we need you. She was like the way you speak life over people. She was like, people don't get that. And I said, oh my god. So that's when I told her, I said, you gotta check me y'all on Facebook Live Tuesdays and Thursdays at five thirty a m. I said, we ain't stopping the show. On top of I told her, I reminded her, I said,

we ain't we taking calls. So I'm realizing that even my gifts of being able to do it this same for me. This is from God because that impact of doing what I love and shut it, that's bigger. And it's so important for us to realize the God within ourselves and how we can inspire and really transform people's lives because we realize we're here for a good time, not a long time. We gotta make it count and this time is on loan. This body is only a finite,

that car is only a finite. This hair you got that, even this skin you got. Right now, I mean, can we be honest with the eloticity elasticity? Yeah? I said, they're right. Okay, So how are you living? Are you walking in your gratitude? Do you realize that you can't just hold and hold on to everything? How we gotta share because the more we share, the more comes back at us. Because it's the evolution of Carmo the cycle.

So I'm grateful. May I remind us not to get too comfortable in life, to just get sitting there because we're so used to waste something that's happened, because it could just be one thing, one pivot in the entire trajectory of your life can change. So then the question becomes, are you living your life at your greatest potential? Are you living your life how you want to live it? I'm just asking, hmm. They say gratitude is everything. The more grateful we are, the more things we have to

be grateful for. What are you grateful for? All right, chall I hope you all enjoyed that. I just want to remind you that we're alone here and we gonna make account. So can we start by making account by telling somebody to tell somebody else to tell somebody else that that dang on Dawn Day got a podcast and it's entitled Vitamin Deed with Dawn Day, and it's available wherever you get your favorite podcasts.
