Episode description

Now, you may be familiar with the "last call" if you've ever been out at a club. The DJ, whoever the announcer is, makes an announcement to say, "Hey, it's the last call for the alcohol" meaning you got a couple more minutes and that's it. Or perhaps you've been out to eat and they make a last call for the kitchen. Meaning if there's anything else that you want place your order in now because the kitchen is going to close. But have you ever thought about the "last call" to life? I mean, because there's no "do-over" with this right now. This right now is all we have. What are you doing with it? I was really charged to think about this on my way, driving into the studio.

I was listening to Khalid and his track "Last Call" and right in the opening of the track. He states "search for what will set you free." God dog. And it just shook me real quick because I feel like a lot of us are captive. And I say that because we feel like there's so much time that we have. Now, I'm not saying to race or to put everything in a rush, but don't be so lackadaisical with it, because with this "last call," we don't know when it's over. We don't know when it's done. And all we have is right now. And if you can imagine your purpose, your dreams, your desires, asking you and I quote to "meet me for a final dance," will you show up?

It's the last call. And as Khalid goes on to say, "you show me purpose and give me a presence." Ain't that what life does? There's something about when you can get it in the now. Are you living your life in the now? Because this is the "last call." So the question becomes, "where do you start?" If life, your purpose, your dreams and aspirations extended its hand, would you take it? Just something to think about? You got one life to live. So live now and know this is the "last call."
