Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. You are tuned into the Vitamin D with Dawn Day Podcast and I am your host, Dawn Day, here to get you excited about your life so that you can live life on purpose and for a purpose. And this is your first time tuning in and welcome Vitamin D. It's upon of my name. My name is Dawn and you get Vitamin D from the sun. So I'm here to shed light into your life.

And I do this with inspirational insights and conversations with celebrities and everyday people like you and me, Because if you want to be better and you want to do better, then you're going to have to be able to see better. So join me on this journey of living our best lives and understanding and realizing how you are your greatest ass at dreams come true and dreams are real. I'm gonna living testament to it. I'm just looking back at

this past year and witnessing the things unfolded. And here's the thing only think about life. We have to remind ourselves knows that we are energy, and with energy, there's a thing called a frequency and frequency is literally up and down movement. And I don't want to say line. I can't think what the appropriate term is. But we know that it shows that there's energy, It shows that there's movement. It shows an up and down thing. And that is the same when it comes to our lives.

Why because we are spiritual beings having a human experience, the spiritual beings that are a source of power, a source of magnetigy energy, a source of what it is of life. And I wanted to make sure I highlight that is because with that whole instance, you have your ups and your downs. But what do I say? If you can look up, you can get up. If you fall down seven times, get up eight Your location is not your destination. And guess what, you can't fail if

you don't quit. You don't believe me. Look at the sun at your day, it sets and the next day it will wise, so shall you. So I don't know what it is that you want. I'm not even sure if you feel as though this year you've accomplished all of your dreams. But I want to remind you that you're possible. But you just gotta believe. But even understanding what the belief of that faith without works is dead, you can lead the horse to the water, but you

can't make it drink. Why Because that's where the work comes in, That's where the you comes in. So what do you want? Are you willing to give yourself grace better yet? Are you willing to take a chance on yourself? Hmm? Because the time is now, the present is right now, So allow it to be a gift dreams come true.

I just look back at Eve and starting vitamin D with dawn day, starting vitamin D underneath the comforter, starting getting at my heart, at my home, then getting to a studio, moving to the second studio, now in the studio now, and it's like, my god, where are we going next? In fact, I want to talk about that with you. I'm gonna talk about That's what this check

in is going to be dedicated to. In fact, I'm going to bring Jeremiah in here, m because I've told you many things about him, about how we met, about how we reconnected, and uh, now, I guess, let me tell you how things are unfolding. He's really had a front seat on everything. So we all do a little quick snapshot of what that is. And now you get to meet and here, my dear, myah for yourself. Okay, stay tuned right with me and get excited about all right. So I told you all that, Um, I was gonna

have Jeremiah coming here. You know, this is the recap episode. This is the final checking of the year, and a lot has changed from the inception of Vitamin D with My Heart too, us coming in this studio. Man, if you've been checking in, you've heard me list the ups and downs and all the way around. And now I'm on CA. You're like, can you believe this and get this get into this number me starting Vitamin dvading day at my Heart and the studio was around within at

first week and a half, two weeks. Maybe that's when I applied for the position at kjl Ah. It hadn't been it had been a year and a half, a year some change when they reached out town. In between that taking three buzzers to get here, having Jeremiah dropped me off at the bus stop, and I am on a morning show, a legendary morning show. It's called the Front Page and it's on kJ l H. You know, the legendary Stevie Wonder. Yes, um, that's his station. And

more importantly, they're making room for me. But what I realized is that I had to show up. I think back of when I even first started with vitamin di at my heart Ryan Seanan Oakes, I could have said, I thought I was ready, like I'm ready to do this show uh. And I applied and I'm glad and I'm grateful that i had the confidence and to know how to go after it. But I realized how everything is in the timing. And like I said, dreams are

real and dreams come true. But you have to remind yourself that patience is a virtue because you want to be ready. Can you imagine getting everything that you need and not having the capacity or not having the awareness to see it, to embrace it, to hold it, to seize it. Therefore, it just taunts you. But when you're ready, things just going to flow. And I realized, as I've experienced what I explained, or as I want to share with you what our frequencies or the ups and downs,

they had to remind myself what's at stake. And you know Mr may Here has shared he said the greatest radio personalities they give it all. They give you their vulnerability, they allow you to see them. And I have to remind myself often of what Gammy said um on Red Table Talk. That's Jada Pinkett's mom. No one can beat you with your own truth. You're the writer to your story. What are you saying? See showing up as you are and allowing yourself to exist as you are, how you

are right now. There's no room for anyone else to tell you who you are or try to manipulate or controct your story. But also in your your truthfulness and your vulnerability, you also open up a window to connect. You open a window of healing, a window of opportunity, a window of you living your best life. Because I say, we're not here for a long time, We're here for a good time, so let's make it count. What does your good time look like? That's what I had to

ask myself. And what I said was is that no matter what, my down for a moment was gonna look like, I'm coming for this dream because you can't let what you see make you forget what God said. That's why it's called vision, and that's why if you don't have vision, the people will perish. I like to think of vision is beyond what you can see mhm. And you have to be confident and your fishing. That's what we call faith, and we know that all you need is faith. The

size of a mustard sy just a little little. So what's up? That's why I had to ask us? I said, Dawn, what's up? I even had to go down deep in the ground for this, and he got dark. It was cold. They say, sometimes you ask God to grow and it starts raining. Like I was saying on KJLG today or was it yesterday? One of these days I shared how we shouldn't be afraid of the rain, perhaps embrace it, because what is rain? Real rain? This water rainou he too old and we know that when you see water,

that means there's a sign of life. I don't know about you, but I'm living my life one purpose and for a purpose, you know what. That's what we talk about here on vitamin D. But what I also want to make sure that I highlight on what I really mean about seeing the good and the bad, because if you want to be better and you want to do better, you have to be able to see better. And that included seeing me, all of me, embracing me, not being ashamed,

not being whatever. So we are entering a new stage with Vitamin D. I'm telling you right now it hasn't all the way fully, but the fact that now the transition is going on to kJ late and the reason why, the reason why I have to highlight and say why it's so huge just because front page, front Page were doing day. Go on cage a radio, dot com, go ahead and check it out yourself. But front page we're doing day is essentially the same thing that we're doing

here on Vitamin Day. Faith with our works is dead. In the moments of the Valleys when Frequency was going on the dip, I had to remind myself, don't. I said, if you can look up, you can get up and staying consistent showing up no matter why. When it came down that they hit me up on that Wednesday and said, no Wing, you hire coming a Thursday's on your paperwork, come on in Friday and meet your producer Vanni and you're going up on a Monday. I didn't have to

friends why because I was doing the work. Because of the faith that I had in myself, it wasn't a question. See, often times I feel like we're getting this notion that we have to jump up to get ready but if you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready. I have to sign. We're experienced anxiety about our dreams and what it is is that we say that we're want because we keep waiting for that moment. Well, how about you living that moment in exist in that moment and beat that moment,

then therefore you can seize that moment. I don't know about you saw a pepper catch up, pick it up. Your life is waiting on you. I have to tell myself, I said, Dawn, your life is waiting on you. You didn't go through all of this for nothing. You are not looking behind you and seeing I heart radio, No excuse me, I heart media and Premiere Networks. So I said, Dawn, if we're gonna really wrap up this this episode this year, I wought of bringing a brother that got a different view.

You keep hearing me say something while said, let me bring you my Jeremiah, My Jeremiah Elijah. Honey, he didn't seen at all. He's still seen it all having his own experience. So um, get your radio waves together, send your energy and your applause to my own one and only, Mr Jeremiah Elijah. Hey, Jeremiah, how you feel you on the podcast for real, for real, I feel I feel calm. I just never come on because I like to be

behind the scenes and just watching. So wait, know, I thought you said you want to have your own podcasts. I do, yeah, but you know the whole like playing your position thing and knowing your role. I have my own social media, my own like TikTok and that kind of stuff where I do speak clearly indirectly. I just when I'm here. I love being support. Okay, look, listen, did you say this is a smart man right here? He said, listen, you ain't gonna trip me up. Dawn.

Um well, thank you so much. I appreciate the support, and I also appreciate that you know the family, the vitamin D family, get to see who this brother is who and more importantly, um, here who you are. And you know I'm coming in from one perspective, but then there's you, and you know, just be interesting to see hear what your experience. So what you did was because you know, Jeremiah's look at God is setting up a story.

Now I've made it clear that Jeremiah is gonna be greater than me, and I know I'm about to be big in the Oprah who you better watch out. But with that being said, um as we all recage elation. Of course, I brought him over there with me and he's working as my associate producer. He's getting training ground under my producer and what he's using those skills to transferring over here Vitamin D with Dawn j So, Jeremark,

you made this list of notes. It's like a snapshot, like a timeline, a text, Jeremond says on February at twelve thirty one, am I messaged you about being part of my team. Do you have that text? I guess that would be too far. It's actually in the dmcause dem me and did you ask me if I your number? I did, and then I texted you and you kind of always just stayed around. I did. I would see your posts on Facebook and then I would like them.

I would share them. What is instam? What do you remember when we last left off of what happened and why you decided to follow and stick around? Think you were the because you know I was at the Celebrated radio and I was doing the multiple shows and you were the main person. How ease that would come in and I would assist with the board, and you know it ended with when we were at that location in Inglewood, the others Inglewood and I had to go to college.

So last thing I remember, remember, I only to find that picture that i'd took for my senior senior year of high school was a class project entrepreneurship. And I had a picture with you, me and Mr Kevin Nash and I have my fro hawk and you know you have your hairs cut really short, and I remember so vividly.

I think it's on my parents computer because I'm yes, yeah, I had to get a picture for my project to prove that I was at wherever I was doing my entrepreneurship or entrepreneur my apprenticeship, Yeah, apprenticeship, fellowship, internship, internship, thank you, Yeah, look at your Look at you see this about the going way of a guy high school,

You get internship fellowship at the graduate college. But I love to speak that wow, and didn't even fast for now the fact that you're at a station with these same two personalities. Yeah, do you think about that? So you gotta snap that picture. You gotta snap that picture. Those are the moments that I have when I look back at me being your age being a premier and then here I am ten years later right here. Wow, that was almost ten years for you. Huh. Actually, I

think it is officially ten years. And I was fifteen when I met you, and that was during the summer, so it's officially been ten years and it's December, right, so maybe like five months? What in the winkun ding? Yeah? All right, So I hit you like YO, be a part of this, so I said, you said, I asked you if you said, how my number? Then I said, come on to my house. You sent me the address said to arrive at eleven forty am, he said, And I showed up. I think eleven like twenty or something.

I can really really earlier live in town side of my car. We you know. I remember I got you that banana chocolate drink thing, and I was, I wasn't nervous. Wait, I asked you to bring me a drinking you hadn't even got there yet. Yeah, I mean the assistant role. Um, I wasn't nervous. I was. I didn't know what to expect. I just kneel like. Oh. I remember it was when

I was fifteen I met her. I've been following her, still seeing her and my mama wasn't like, who was this you going up to see m m I think she was and I told her like, oh, she was like she was aut accelebrated radio. And then she was like okay, and she said, you'll make sure we were masks, be careful. How many very beginning. So it had been a year of COVID at that point. Really, yeah, even when I took the test matchages that says one February. Okay,

so dude, here we go. Um, I'm coming in. I'm showing you all the equipment, what's going through, what's your experience? Tell me you talk. I made sure to have my note pad. I was taking notes, and I was just being quiet and listening and hearing what does she need me to do exactly? And I remember you had your other assistant at the time, and you know, he was running me through what he was doing, and you know,

again taking mean that's yeah. So it was I en and making sure that I'm paying attention because I remember how you functioned when I was fifteen. You were very meticulous, you were very detailed. Things have an order. So I'm still true to the same day and it ain't like I'm putting on the front. This is who I am, but you are. You are more relaxed. I am more relaxed.

And it really is a completely different woman. I told all and probably this who coming off in New York having all that energy and younger and just whole and then throwing it down and channel and get But yeah, so we were at the house. I showed you the broadcaster and you came out. You didn't have any experience just yet when it came down to radio, and you were saying, hey, Dawn, I'm trying to figure out another way to get this. So we were there. I was

teaching you all the equipment and so forth. And at the time I was still with my heart. I hadn't released my job yet. Yeah, I hadn't let go just yet, but it was time for things to transition with m um. So m was making sure that he was gonna be with us, right, so it'll be like, okay, I'll help training pass the time. So we were coming and you were coming in there like what's it ever. You were coming to us several times a week and we'd be up oh my oh day, sometimes twelve at one o'clock

in the morning, just testing stuff. Out trying different what was that? Jeremiah'm having flashbacks, Hey, what's up? And you're listening to Day Day. I'm resting to have the picture of you where you you fell asleep. You're sitting when we were trying to figure out the what was that program? Um there was not sound dog, not Twitter, stream stream line, stream deck. So we're trying to figure out you fell asleep in the chair. Literally I'm sitting there, reminds you.

Because we're hustling and we're going off the dreams. I got the TV stand, you know, the wooden TV stand. I think I had some books on top, and then I got my laptop behind me. I got my uh a portable green scream sitting in front of couch and my chair, trying not to fall asleep, talk about you gotta be on you for your dreams. But then you know, things start to freshen up, brighten up. We were preparing to get in the studio. So after that we're like, okay,

it's time to neck the next level. Because I hadn't decorated my home, so I didn't have anything in the background, I was feeling not too confident about it. So we started going around and looking at ferious studios right and figured out, okay, well we can be there bulow and behold. I didn't realize it was only two months. So then two months later I have an opportunity to record Jack Ross here at Sherman Oaks and that elevator you've met Mr Bell may M. We got in here, we did

Jack Ross. He never came out with a single, so we didn't release the interview. And uh, Mr may took a liking to you and said, who is this man? I said, this is my Jeremiah. He said, Well, after we talked about an hour or so, I was like, I want to get to know. I think he'll be a great asset to the team. I looked at I said, wait a minute. Now, what you can't do is still my baby. I say, baby, this is a grown ass man, grown a nable, but don't steal my Jeremiah. I mean.

He was like, you know, I like to have my great talent and um, you know great I guess producers workers. I can't think of the term he used at the time. He said, I like to basically have is a smart people stand together. So that's all right. Then I said, we'll talk about it and then next thing I know, he said, hey, so I'll see you next week and boom we got into the studio that day that we talked to Mr Main That was main ten. Now that's when it started getting real. So things were kind of cool.

We started getting great guests. Um any highlights you think of, uh highlighting? I think definitely one of the highlights was you asked me at the studio this is before the studio with the um Jasmine Burke, Yes, yes, having us

about Callaway and just love their energy. And I think what pops up would be Violet Palmer Violet, and we had brought Violet when we came back into the studio here and by La Palma, who he's referring to was the first African or not even first African American female, the first woman NBA referee talk about making his story baby and then it was on a paper and so then we were here and it was great, you know, um, and this moment you know, end up you and up

working here, figured out ways to transition with payment. But then things got real. Child. You talk about humility at its finess. You may have heard me mention mention of some things and previous episodes about having taken three buses to get here. Can you imagine the humility that takes in that? Again, I remind you dreams are possible. My faith with our works is dead. And they say, don't forget your neat beds on your way to your ego,

because you're bound to fall. And that's why I think back and I think about, like, you know, just really understand the capacity and being ready for podcasts or not even podcasts, being a shown a personality of vulnerability, being able to relax, being able to be president. I was not there yet, but I do believe having those moments of humility allow ron to be made. What was that like for you? Okay, let's talk real. What is that like? What was this experience been like for you? From the

moment that we got here in studio? Made to channel this last episode? Truly, I didn't know I was getting into at all. I just said yes. I just said yes, and I was like, this is I love helping people?

You know, I do have a people pleaser personality trade and I love assisting my like love language is expressing love through acts of service and then you know, receiving love through feeling needed and so going through the process of like you said, I didn't have any experience and having to learn on the go, doing my own research, making sure I'm watching videos about people who do the types of activities. How did you feel with this process? What was it lot? Were you nervous? Were you scared

once you find the information? Um? Was it what you thought it was going to be? All that good stuff? I didn't have any thoughts, any preconceived notions you could say. I was, Well, did you always believe in what we were going to doing? I mean we went through a lot. I didn't fully grasp Well, you told me the other day when things got rough, you wasn't sure how it was gonna pay out? So can we talk about it?

That makes me think of how Yeah, when I think I cried for the first time in front of you, when I realized just how much weight and responsibility, and then just the impacts and connections that you're gonna have, what we will have are having with the people that you're talking to, and it kind of started to really set in. I wasn't so much on autopilot when I had met you. Will remet she reconnected and was learning from you, But I just I wasn't fully aware of

what's happening. I'm just taking it like one step at a time, day to day. And I think even now it's been like a type of quote unquote reset for me of feeling the intensity of what's going on. But then I'm getting used to it of it now, So I guess waiting until there is the next intensity, the next step up, the next level up, so I'll probably have that um what's it called, not shock, but that again another realization of like, Okay, this is really happening,

and what's happening. What's happening is you are building your empire, You're building your connections, your building reputation, you're building your following, you're building your dream even more. And I'm seeing you speak things into exist. I'm seeing you say what you want. I'm seeing you not only you're speaking it, but you're actually doing what you need to do to apply the actions,

the intentionality behind what you want. It's not just saying it like it requires work, it requires talent, It requires being gifted, gifted knowing how to speak, gifted knowing how to relate to people, gifted annoying, just how to show love and for people to feel comfortable with you to give you opportunity and to see you that you deserve the opportunity. Oh a man, I received that. Now, what are some of the things that you can think of like that I spoke that are happening or a happening.

Top of the head was first when you said a studio, we said, you said we're going to get a studio, and again you put action behind it. And then you said that Mr May had texted you or you reached out to come to the studio. I had spoke with

Jennifer Line Group or his boss. Okay, so you um, I said, I wanted to uh talk to Jack Ross because before I left with the Premier we had an I Heeart Urban Music meeting and uh he was gonna be in l A. We had connected on the zoom call and I was like, oh, I would love to have you on and I'm like, well, I couldn't bring him to the house and we hadn't had a studio space. So I said cat dog over at the Steve Harvey morning. So I was like, yo, you should just ask if

you use the studio. I'm like okay, and then okay, ask you you shall receive see can you should find knock and the door will be open to you. That's what happened. And then that's when we met with Mr May He said, but she wanted and you made it happen. You reached out, you wanted the studio, So then we went there. We had the ups and downs, and then you and I had discussed and we know we were on the Hope and you know about the kJ L eight. Then in the middle of that car not here, then

having to take three buses. Then I'm like, dear my, do you know that King j l H radio call? I couldn't leaveing and you know, like you said, Dawn me following everything to the bullet point. I'm glad I did because it got us a good structure. And so then after leaving here and then going over there, it was for me it felt smool. How was that for you? How was that for you? Coming from just that premiere and then having your experience over at kJ AH It

was nice having to get to work at noon. I never had a job where he could leave until ten eleven UM. And then yeah, you told me that it would be a three M thing, three M call time, and you asked, it's something that you can handle, and we just said we'll see right, experience it, go through it, go to the um the station and let you know, I'm a feeling and I have lovely experience. I told you waking up two m It's not easy easy, isn't

that everything I feel? I feel like it's not gonna get easy, But I'm speaking I hope it is that just a feeling changes. But once I pick you up, and then we go to the station and we're in there and we now have our team producer Vanni, and maybe we finally have a team. Oh we've always got a team, but we've added to the team, added to the team. And that's when my energy gets picked up. That's when the callers start um coming in and I'm talking to them, and they got on the air and

they talk to you, and clearly they're enjoying it. They keep calling back. They say how much they love you, They say how much they're grateful that you were chosen to be the host of this show that was brought back that it is Front Page, the oldest show on that station, and it's wrong for us. Yeah, we both came out of our show in many different ways. Mhm.

You don't so listen, You're not as you think. You're the same Jeremiah from before you moved to you on the place before that, I was depressed and thankful that I was able to move out, and I was starting to get used to being on my own really for the first time. I always had roommates right, um, and

thinking what do I need to do? And get a gym membership, make sure that i'm you're eating healthy, make sure that i'm I want to stay taking time for myself, but not really I was used to be thinking about time for yourself. No'm about to you and about you right now. Balance right, some kind of balance, some sort of balance. You gotta keep your sanity somehow, yes, yes, otherwise um, not crushing and burning burning, Yeah, you need

to avoid burnout. So making sure that that paying attention to that, making attention to myself how I'm feeling, and making the proper adjustments, and communicating that I've had a really bad way of communicating this past year, working with with Don, with my boss. We're going with you, and you know I've had This is the first time. You're the first person to see me in this kind of light where I'm I'm used to being seen as very competent, used to being seen people look at me. My voice

is deep. The way that I appear, I look like I'm my thirties or forties. Some people thought I was middle age one time. A couple of times I was like, okay, um, I'm used to being seen as the mature one, and you're the one of the only few people that have seen me like struggle and not be seen in the maturity put together. Figure, how does that make you feel very uncomfortable? So that means you're growing? Yeah, you act like you don't want to say yes. I trying to

really think about it. Of Okay, I am growing because it's showing to work I need to work on the area. And also am I able to admit that I need to work on the area and still move forward while being in the uncomfortableness and not shutting down. That's something I'm meant to say today or say on an episode of Telling Me Something Good. We gotta tell me something good Thursdays where something great news, And that's something I wanted to highlight that right there, simply of we'll go ahead,

go ahead, get your camera, thank you. I simply wanted to high highlight that because I don't know if we give ourselves enough credit and understand how should it be highlighted when you make wrong to see yourself because I think we operate in life just thinking things are one way and not, you know, making it wrong to grow. But it's like hold up, wait a minute, oh, if you're not perfect and you don't always have everything together.

So like you, Jeremiah, I gotta attest to that. It's a beautiful thing when you can humble yourself to see yourself. I saw you grow and you've spoken to quit a few things in existence, even like you're saying, hey, down, I want to drive you around. Now you do that every moving or two. Now you're gonna get it, get some time off. But that's amazing. And now you're getting your radio experience at a terrestrial station. That's awesome. And now you getting your credits up to be a producer,

which is what you said you wanted. So I'm grateful for you. I'm grateful that we have established his team. Like you said, um, you've seen me in lights that I never thought I would have an assistance that I mean, child, child, But dreams don't work unless you do and I appreciate you working with me, and you're right. Everything that we've been talking about, it's happening down to down even there, like I saw, I'm gonna be a wrong room, you're gonna be the other directing what And now it's even

coming even full circle. More so because even I'm like hurry up and saying in my ear. Today was a great example the interview we had. You were giving me notes and I was able to take it your paying attention. I'm about to pick this up. So, yes, you are growing. Yes I am grateful. Yes I'm proud of you, and yes I'm gonna still go off. But you're gonna be all right. I will be and it's gonna be amazing. We're about to do. So you better buckle up. It's about it's about to be. Why do you know it's

about to be mind blowing. I can't failin. I just can't the time it is about to be like it HAPs that I trust you. I trust that you know what you're doing. I trust that you know what you're going after. And that's partially why I don't feel like, oh my gosh, the balls are caving in. I'm I'm able to rely on you my Likewise I wouldn't be able to be come from relaxing situations. I always teld your mind, you know, it's some magnitude of trust that

goes on between us. Why because he sees all the sides and I remind him that when you look at things in hindsight, Um, he knows my achilles heel or has access to it.
