Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. You are tuned into the Vitamin D Podcast, and I'm your host on day here to get too excited about your life. Now, if this is your first time tuning in, let me just say welcome. I'm glad to have you. In fact, I'm glad that you're here on this journey with me um of getting excited about your life, of understanding that you are your greatest asset. Now, just so that we're clear,

vitamin D is upun off my name. You know, my name is Dawn, and you get vitamin D from the sun. So I am here to shed light into your life. And I do this with inspirational insights and conversations with celebrities and everyday people like you and me. And let me just be clear. While vitamin D is all about shed a light and we're all about positivity, we need to be clear that in order to be better, to

do better, you gotta be able to see better. And so when that calls on shutting on the light, that's on the good and the bad. Okay, Now, if you've been following me on social media, you might have witnessed a bit of a transformation. Just like I talked about how you are your greatest asset. I've been putting myself to the test and I've been investing in my life bank account with working out, and I am so excited.

It is my pleasure to have my personal trainer in the studio with me, and so let's eave with oh M training. UM, we're gonna talk about no comfort zones because that's where the magic happens. So, UM, without further ado, it's time for your dose a vitamin damin D right with me and get excited. Hi, laty, Hey, how's it going. That was an amazing intro. Um, You're really good at this. Thank you. Thanks, happy to be here. I am so

grateful that you're here. It means a lot, you know. Um, Vitamin D. I talked about how it's about getting excited about your life and you are actually assisting me with living my best life. UM. As far as when it comes down to my way, that's something I wouldn't say a struggle is just something that I have been in the midst of balancing. And you know, just when you talk about you know, your whole model is just no

comfort zones because that's where the magic happens. I want people to really see that because you told me, like probably within the first week I was training with you, and you said you talked about how it's a mental thing and a physical thing and how you're only going to get out as much as you put in. So, um, Latife, welcome to the Vitamin D with Down Day podcast. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. How are you? I'm good? I love you. Yeah, we'll be out there, so y'all

should see me working out. I'll be screaming like let's go Dawn day because I gotta push myself. So Latife, talk to me about oh M training, talk to me about you and your experience, Like, what is this whole personal training thing about? Okay, um, so oim training. Um, that's my brand. It's a a fitness and lifestyle brand that I created. Um August it became official. Like I said, it's a fitness and lifestyle brand. I offer personal training and fitness both in person and virtually. Also, I'm a

playlist workout playlists. UM called on them tapes. Talk about that in a little while as well as merch um as you spoke a little bit about that, and I don't when I got my own training right now. Yeah. Yeah, so that's the Black on Black training t the Owen Training te um from my first collection, the OEM collection. I have the No Comfort Zone t on right now from the collection as well. But yeah, I mean, fitness is something that I've been into professionally for a little

bit over two years now. UM. I have a basketball background, so I was playing professional basketball before UM, and it was just something that, um, I won't say it was a natural transition because it was a tough transition out of basketball. That was something I was doing my entire life, but it was something I gravitated towards because it was

something that was a part of basketball. So it was something that I already had, like you know, one ft in and just talking to a friend who was also a personal trainer made me want to like dive deeper into it. So I was working at a gym the previous year in two thousand nineteen, and obviously during the pandemic, gym shut down and stuff like that. And so I have friends telling me, you know, you need to you know, post your workouts more stuff like this, blah blah blah,

and I started thinking like why not. We weren't doing anything at the time anyway, you know, most most of l A was shut down. We were cooped up in the in my apartment, so I started recording more. It's not even something that I was like, Oh, I'm gonna start this brand like right now. It's like literally like matured on its own, like it was just so nik. Yeah, I don't even know how it got to you know,

where it is today. I just, you know, I'm just working every day, you know, just hearing that because I you know, I just put up a video on my own social media account just ingratitude of just how I started out with Vitamin D. I was underneath the comforter in New York with my Samsung USB Mike sweating in between breaths. And we're in a studio right now, Shermanos, California.

Don't tell me that it's not possible. And so I guess, like a lot of people, I think you need to realize when we talk about like dreams and in the process of working towards it. But even in the working towards process, why are you doing this? Like, you know, was this something that hits you home because you felt like you had the stand shape. I know you did it with basketball, but oftentimes, like I went by myself because weight has always been something I've dealt with. Um,

it's always been a means of losing weight. I've had some people to say that they work out to maintain weight. What is your Was it just mainly because you were playing basketball? Yeah? I mean after, My motivation during basketball was always to like try to be the best. So that's where you know, working out and staying in shape come from. So once that ended, it was like, where does that motivation come from? Um? Obviously people want to look good and stuff like that, and so that was

the main thing. I just wanted to continue being healthy after because as a professional basketball player, you know, you're like an elite athlete. I didn't want to like fall too far from that, you know what I'm saying. I've come accustomed to look in a certain way, feeling a certain way, moving a certain way, and I didn't want

to let that go. So that's where the I guess the drive and passionate motivation for continuing fitness and learning and within the within fitness came about because you played You played ball overseas, right, Yeah, So I played in a few different countries, started in column be a. Um played in Kazakhstan, Latvia, and most recently in two seventeen Turkey, I was in Istanbul. What was that like? Um, it

was an amazing experience. Yeah. I lived there for uh like half seasons, full season stuff like that, so between you know, three to six months in each spot. It was a great experience. I learned a lot, was able to experience different cultures. I wasn't closed minded, but it definitely like open more. I look back on it and actually wished that I would have liked immersed myself more while I was there. I was so like one track minded at the time as far as like basketball, basketball, basketball,

But um, it was a great experience. I definitely wanna continue traveling the world and learning. It's a huge world, a world out there when you just think about like how people think, how they dress, how they talk, and just life. Yeah, but it was something that's so interesting that stood out to me. What you just said is

that fact of being open. And I think that's something that even in this about because I've always been one to be active, despite you know, whatever the scale has said, despite of what you see, I've always been an athletic individual and I find that you know, when pushing yourself in an athletic realm and you talk about being open, it's like being open to stretch yourself to a possibility

that you didn't know. And that's why I love That's why I love about own training because it's all about no comfort zones, because you know, when you're comfortable, you get used to being the same thing. If you want to see results, if you want to see change, it

comes from you doing more, being more, reaching furthermore. And you know, I want to make sure that we shine light about why it's important to perhaps invest in a personal trainer or just get on a regiment of working out because just like I said, like I'll be talking to myself or working out, you see me, let's code on day because it's a mental thing. And even like um along with being mental, like you got to calculate your numbers, You're you're focusing on your position, on your posture,

and then you yield these awesome results. So how did you get the name? Oh I'm training? So oh I'm training. It's also a flip off my name. So obviously my first name is latif Um friends commitee, but my middle name is oh sorry, oh my last year. Yeah, we need a drune ball. That's so dramatic. Oh sorry, y'all go ahead. And that's funny like even saying it here, because I went like my entire life like just hardly

telling anybody my middle name. I don't know, this might sound funny, but growing up it had sorry in it, and I'm like, I'm not sorry, like like, so I wouldn't tell anybody that name. So I was like, oh, sorry, people don't make They are already like made fun of my first name called Queen Latifa and stuff like that. So I'm like, the you're gonna make fun of sorry, oh sorry, and stuff like that. So it was something I kept to myself. But again, my identity throughout my

entire life was basketball. So after transition out of basketball and when I finally figured that I wanted to start a brand, I didn't want to force any names. It had to be organic. Um. I had already had like ideas of no comfort zones and stuff like that, and it just made sense because that name made me feel uncomfortable for so many years, and it was kind of like I was just embracing me myself. Um, And so that's why I thought that, like, oh, I'm training was perfect.

We sure so much. Okay, So if you didn't know I'm an Airys, yes, if you couldn't tell by the fire, the drive, the energy. Um latife is also an aries but energy. Hey, gang gang gang. But here's the thing that's so interesting though, what you said, just like how you had a moment of embracing your name like Day as part of my middle name, and for years, like growing up, I did not like it because my family being from down south, but hey, don't die, don't die.

Oh my gosh, it was so embarrassing. But it's just amazing of how you put it, of how you said you took a name that made you so uncomfortable, and look you just established it's just now and look what's happening. Like I don't know how many interviews you've been on, but I'm just saying the magic that's happening. And even with myself of for a while of just not wanting to embrace Day, how like my name chose me, like dawn being the break of day. It's a new dawn,

it's a new name. I received that. But it's it's amazing of what could come of that when we go and embracing ourselves. And I guess I look at even my journey with you with working out oftentimes, Um, you will hear somebody wanted to make a change out of something that dislike, Like I want to change it because I don't like it. But what happened to that changeing? Because you love something like you lov and get so

much that you're gonna curate. And it's something about when you love and you have passion for something like um, you pay attention, you hold it with care, um, you keep it near and dear, and so being in the situation of having something that maybe I didn't hold on too, being able to hold onto it, and then seeing how it's able to be applied in our lives, like, that's dope, amazing. Imagine if we if we all got to the point we just embraced ourselves. Right. It's been happening for myself,

especially the past. I think I've grown a lot last year, I mean, especially being in the pandemic. It forced me to grow a lot. So I definitely uh relate to what you were just saying. So when you came out with the whole idea of no comfort zones, were you already because you also are employed by a major company. Were you with the company at first? And then you decided to branch y'all? Like, how how did you him training come to? Really, I was working at the gym

um it shut down. So again I was at the apartment. It wasn't really much work going on at the time. It was at the time where people were you know, I didn't know what was going on with the with COVID and stuff like that. You know, he didn't even want to be near other people at the time. And so again it came down to like like what are you gonna do? You're just gonna wait or you know,

stuff like that. So yeah, again I have friends, you know, a couple of close friends you know, telling me to you know, post more and stuff like that, and it really motivated me, like I said to do so and doing so. It just it just it matured on its own, started playing around with like different things as far as like social media and how I want to my brand to be and what I want direction I want to go in. Yeah, I decided that I was going to make it official, you know, get my LLC with it

and and everything like that. And so after I got the LC, I was like, you know, this is my business now. So UM, I started taking it way more seriously, got you know, designs, lo goals, stuff like that. Um. And I've been blessed to like work with a close friend that helping me with like a lot of the designs and stuff like that. So it's just been a

great process. I'm enjoying the journey. I don't know. I honestly don't know like where I wanna, Like, I don't have any like aspiration I want to be the biggest fitness brand and stuff like that. I just want to continue building on on what it is I'm doing. I don't have a ceiling on it. So if it wants to go to the moon, it can go to the moon. I'll go to the moon with it. Hey saying we're gonna take it to the moon, take it to the star. Yeah. But again, I have no expectations of it though, And

I think that's healthy. Okay, So you know, being the basis, and I think, you know, I can attest to it because if any abody's working out, if anybody's pushing themselves, if anybody's growing, as long as you're living, you've experienced some sort of non comfort zone. So talk to me about what it means to have no comfort zones as far as all I'm training, as far as latif, as

far as like life. Yeah, well, no comfort zones and in all, in all aspects of life, like it's gonna be like an uncomfortable you know, you're gonna be putting an uncomfortable position. It's an uncomfortable you know, metamorphosis that you know that must take place in order for us to grow. And that's in any situation. You know, it could be with working out, it could be job, life, relationships, whatever. In order to grow, you have to get out of

your comfort zone. It's the only way. It's literally the only way. So with that being said, I was like, um, I mean it's a no brainer, Like I don't want to be in my comfort zone because I can't grow if I'm not if I'm in my comfort zone. So that's where that came about, and it's kind of just grown into like the mantra that I've been pushing. I just got a trademark is mine is mine? So um yeah, no comfort zone. It's easy. It's gonna be a lot

of no comfort zone in the future, for sure. Yeah, and I love that because I feel like, um, if anybody's longing for greatness, if anybody's searching for more, chances are you probably are already uncomfortable and the only places to go is to within no comfort lines. Because that's when you know that's the role let's traveled like, that's when you know that you can create something from it.

And it's just an amazing moment because you know, as we're working out and as my body is shaking, as I'm dripping of sweat, like the sweat is listen to me, okay when I tell you that the sweat is dripping, it's excreting, it's shooting out of my body. I'm doing a push up and it's ripping down. Is a very hard worker, by the way, guys, very hard work. Hello, somebody, thank you for seeing me. Um, you just realize of how much it does take. And you know I sent

you the video. But I've been talking about this a lot on the podcast ever since. Brian, you know, he handles all the Magic Judge to the Vitamin D podcast with Earl Nightingale, and he talks about the strangest secret and it's all about how you think like your mindset, because just like with training with you, my body is saying no, maybe, oh, we don't want to do it.

It's shaking, it's sweaty, even my mind where I have to verbally say it out loud like Dawn, let's go, because it's something about the trigger of the mind and it's you know, there's something that you also say on the website. So I'm hoping that you can talk about a little bit more of just talking about the benefits like mentally, physically and emotionally when it comes to working out. Yeah, yeah, I mean the benefits of exercises in the um, whether

that's you know, way control. It improves your mood, UM boost the energy. I know, UM, when I can, I try to work out at six in the morning. It sounds crazy, but after I'm like more alert and if I would have slept in until nine am, I'm energized, I'm active, I'm ready to go. So it definitely gives you a boost. It promotes better sleep, skin health. Like I said, it's endless. Um, there's no reason that it shouldn't be a part of everybody's routine, right. I feel

like it's a necessity when you talk about success. Um, your physical, your emotional, you like your nutrition. Um, those are just areas that I feel like you're just a must, like a go to, just like water. Right, And I think I think that people are taking it more seriously, especially after last year just seeing you know, you know, health become became the center of attention. Um, you know,

the world was on on pause because of it. So I think definitely I've noticed people are actively trying to make your routine to either exercise, to get a personal trainer, to to eat better. People are definitely taking it more seriously. I've noticed, right, And you know, I'm just looking at myself and my journey like happening with you. I mean, this is just a problem moment, Like I couldn't even

do one push up yo yo. Guys like yeah, don our first session for sure, Like I always tell her, like you can barely do you know someone so amount of push ups or you know, the reverse lines or whatever were doing. She's like moving. She's totally different than the first time when we met, you know, some months ago. So I'm happy to be along with you, along with you on your journey. I'm excited for your future. Um, it's gonna be amazing. It's an amazing process. Yes, it is.

So it is so like it's one thing to be in the moment of, oh my gosh, I'm sweating, Oh my gosh, I feel like my life is over. Somebody helped me, and then ball when you step in that mirror and your body be like it's almost like hopefully people are at a job that they love. But going to your job like obviously, like you might not like it or do it all the time, but when you get that check, you like, right right, and it's like

that's the payoff. That's the payoff of being uncomfortable. And you know, that's what I talk about about being your greatest asset, because it's all about what type of deposits are you putting in your life, Like what are you doing to add something to make you better, to do better, and just in the sense that's not going to only affecting you directly, but it indirectly affects everyone around you, Like you're in a better mood. So now that you've inspired me to want to go after all that, it's

like a gift that truly keeps on giving. And you know, when I post up my stuff on social media, I'm posting you know something that you put up. It's so amazing to see so many people will be like, Dawn, you know, wow, you're inspired me or Dawn. It's possible because at the end of it's not easy to commit yourself to say I want to work out because guess what the only obstacle is you Like, it's like your greatest strength and your weaknesses are coming together. Right, who's

gonna with right? And guess what, it's only our bad do you want it? And that's the thing that I try to tell people when it comes to their dreams, like literally, like you have to want your dreams as bad as you want to breathe. And when you get in a sense of just even training and working out with you, it's like, listen, how bad do you want it? Dawn? You are the determining factor as to whether you're going to achieve or whether you're going to quote unquote fail

this moment. Totally agree. Why do you think about the people are afraid of personal trainers? Um, that's an interesting question. Um. I talked to a lot of people, UM that says that interested they you know, they want to train, and then they're like, oh, um, I'm gonna work out for a couple of months and like get in better shape, which is kind of like mind blowing to me because I'm like, I'm here to like help you, you know, on that journey, on that path to get in shape.

And I think people are sometimes maybe insecure, embarrassed at whatever level they are, but often like reassure people, like where you're at is where you need to start. Wherever you're at, it doesn't matter if you're beginner, you know, intermediate, expert, whatever, Just start, just start. You gotta start somewhere. The intimidation, I guess, I don't know, maybe most Finnish trainers look

a certain way stuff like that. I don't know, um, but most things that I noticed is just insecurities stuff like that. But I think everybody should throw that out the window. Um, start where you are, wherever that is, UM, and if you can work with a pt a good pt UM, it's training training, It's gonna do nothing but

be beneficial for you. You know. It's so interesting. I think one of the things that stands out to me is I think it's a level of shame I've been checking out recently, and I want you to check her out to her name is Burnet Brown, and she talks about the whole level of shame and vulnerability. And I think it's some type sort of shame because it's like, well,

who are you trying to play yourself? Like you work out and it's like, oh, you clearly you don't work out, or you know, you get into this whole intimidation factor. Maybe you don't even know if your outfit is there together. But one thing that um and I sent you the video of Earl Nightingale talking about the Strangest Secret, is just like when you measure success, it's just about to having the idea of having your eye on a goal

and then working towards the goal. So like for me, and I said this on a lot previous episode, I'm getting the whole victory of doing twelve push ups first to somebody else to be like, oh my gosh, I can't do one, or somebody else is like I'm doing fifty. But it's my measurement. And I think it's that whole situation of your in your lane of your best life. And if I'm in my lane, I can't look at

you and still be focused on my lane. Comparing comparing, it will we'll kill you, you know, whether that's you know, social media whatever, whether that's deterring you from you know, starting your Finnish fitness goals, finished journey with a PT or whatnot. But yeah, um, I would stay away from the comparisons. Yeah, like you said, stay in your own lane. Everybody's on their own journey on path and you know

something else. I think that's also so like dope about just your service and when you offer us because you'll be working out and you got this ball playlist, so tell us about you know, because listen. Okay, so on tapes? Is that appropriate time? Tap tapes? Catch it on? I have it on Apple Music and Spotify. Okay, so exactly what you can get the Vitamin D podcasting more and I love it And I told you this when I was listening to it, I was like, oh my gosh,

because like I want to miss the working out. And then you curate these play lists that work perfectly with the mindset of whatever you're doing, about being your best, doing your best. How you gotta be a j gotta be your guard store, you know, sometimes you need that extra push. And this soundtrack that you provide on your mixtapes are instrumental And I said before how Vitamin D started out with just I would use lyrics of popular music, like before it was like having dope people like you

in the studio. I would use the lyrics of popular music and intertwining with the motivational message. So what made you get started with Owen tapes? So funny thing is I originally got the idea, like back in two thousand seventeen when I was in Turkey and still playing basketball. It was like, originally gonna be like making playlists. It was gonna be about like basketball, like whether I was gonna make a playlist maybe maybe you're coming off injury

or post game or pregame stuff like that. So I never did it, but it was always a thought, like I always love music like most people, and I just think music it takes you through like so many emotions, Yeah, like so many emotions. And how I curate the playlist is it's not like all like you know, heavy rap or R and B. I like to because your workout you're not doing well. Maybe you are on some certain instances, but in most cases you're not going a hundred miles

an hour the entire time. You don't you don't want to hear. Maybe on that part you want to hear like some rap something to get you going blah blah blah. Maybe you're like warming up and you want to ease into things, so you know, some chill music on there. I just want to take you through, like all the different emotions while you're working out, whether that's to make you dance, to make you go harder, I don't know, maybe think about your your girlfriend and boyfriend, UM, all that.

Just I want you to go through all your emotions. UM, just like when you're when you're working out, anything that's like motivating or inspiring. Hey, that's now you see why

I got Latife on the podcast. Now. I think that's so important because I think you know, no matter what medium you're in, Like I feel like we're all different types of storytellers, and it's basically to have a start and you're getting to a finish, whether that's with numbers, whether that's you behind you know, UM an operating table, or perhaps you're cooking up a recipe, or just perhaps

me on a podcast and you training somebody. I think it's so important to have the ability to tell a story because that means it's a journey and having that journey meaning that's an experience, meaning that we have a start, we have a middle, and we're going. And I hold, I love the whole idea of training because it's not like you get to a finite moment. Like the whole training is like a becoming. It's whole evolutionary process. And I guess it resonates with me because you know, being

on this journey, I have my upset, my downtime. You know, I have times that I'm doing well as far as you know, working out and completing the diet, and sometimes I'm not. Can you talk about that challenge and that, you know, is it okay to beat ourselves up? Like how do you stay in the game mentally? Yeah, I mean I think we're all human, so we're gonna go through those different emotions, those waves and stuff like that.

I think the most important thing is to know what your goal is, what you want to accomplish, and just keep striving, just keep pushing. It's gonna be down days. It's gonna be days that's harder than just like in anything, I think to just stay focused on first off, be aware enough to know that in terms of knowing that it's gonna be down days, it's gonna be updates. I don't think often tell like my close friends when they get like, you know, big winds, don't get too high,

too low, Like I'm super proud of you. Definitely like pat yourself on the back, like you're doing your thing, but like let's keep it pushing though. Like just like you can get super high, you can get super low, and the the lows can be really really bad if you don't watch itself. So I just think being self aware of knowing that there's gonna be down days, just have your mind focused on the end result, the goal as well as you know the journey. It's just part

of the journey. And I think it's just showing a lot of grace because I think oftentimes we can be so hard on ourselves, right, and it's just like you have to have a moment of forgiveness of just giving yourself a moment to just be to figure it out, to understand that you are further than what you started. The hardest step is just taking the first one, right that what you just said, um r P Nipsey, But I saw like a video him like last month on Instagram, and um, It was a younger video of him at

a younger age. UM, but he was talking about like just just keep going, and he was like, you'll turn around and you'll see like you're closer to where you like are striving to get to them where you started. So if it ain't no reason to like stop and turn around because you already like closer to your goal, so by quit. Um. But yeah, that that what you just said. Definitely Like, uh, brought that to my my memory bank. Why do you think so many people quit?

That's a tough one. It's tough just because I don't even know what that means. Um. I mean, I know life is hard. Life is hard. Um. If you don't have sometimes you need to support system. Those are important. Again, people quit for all types of different reasons. That failed relationship that can trigger something, finances that can trigger something, all type. I mean, my goal, My goal is just to inspire and motivate. UM. Hopefully the people that I

crossed path with know that quit is not an option. Hey. That's why I always say, like, you can't fail if you don't quit, right, And I think oftentimes, like I think people come to the whole notion of quitting or ceasing or stopping or whatever because they lost focus of the vision. And whether that losing focus is just being

concentrated on each step the way there. Then it's like you know how they say yard by yard life is hard, inch by inch last, And since you've got so busy in yourself with the particulars that you forgot the whole purpose of it. Because I don't mean interrupt, but also sometimes people um want the instant gratification and when they don't get it, it's like it don't work. But it's like,

do it for some months, do it for some years. First, because it didn't just take you a couple of days or a couple of hours to get you even in the space of feeling the white you feel, So why would you think it's so quick to get out of? Exactly hence no comfort zones. Oh, it's something when you gotta cut the light on yourself and you gotta see

the truth. So even with yourself, what kind of uncomfortable situations you find yourself out of, whether it be your career in basketball, like you know, evolutionizing as a trainer, like what what's funny is doing basketball? I had tons of uncomfortable situations you know, playing overseas is like tons tons of pressure you gotta especially you know Americans have to perform over there or you know they've seen you home with the quickness, so it's it's tons of pressure

like every day. And I thought that was pressure until I transitioned out of basketball. Really, what's your way? Yeah? I mean it was just like again, that was my identity, that was all I know, all I knew. Transitioning out of basketball, It's like what now? Who am I? Now? What am I supposed to do now? It definitely wasn't an easy transition. How did you find yourself and who you are? UM? A lot of like try and fail,

a lot of like trying and fail. Um. I attempted at a few different um, professor, and that didn't stick. That wasn't I realized soon that it wasn't a passion. And I know myself. I know when I'm not passionate about something or totally interested, I'm not gonna get my hunted. A lot of people always come to people like Dawn, how do you find your passion? So how or what was the determined factor that you were like? You know what?

This is not at as far as like different jobs. Yeah, Like, how did you identify like this is not the passion and you knew you had to get out because I'm miserable doing during the shift or whatever whereever it is. I won't you know, say any names of the jobs, but yeah, I want to go home as soon as I get there. I mean that was an easy tale

for me. But with fitness, um, for example, in basketball, just because I loved it so much, I would be on YouTube for hours just watching like highlights just because

I was entertained. Also I wanted to learn. But like I loved basketball that much, I knew fitness was a passion when I found myself like scrolling on Instagram at like workout videos for like thirty minutes and like YouTube, Like I knew that it was a passion and something I was interested in because you didn't have to like pay me to like to do that, you know what I'm saying, Like I was really interested. I really wanted to learn more. I really wanted to grow in it.

So I think when you know when it's a passion, like you'll know you'll be totally interested in it and probably like you won't even necessarily need to get paid from it. At least at first. You know what I'm saying, that's how much you're like interested in it. Um. I think people know, Wait, so is it too late to get some free sessions? Says you're so passionate about it? First session anything for you? Listen, you guys heard it right here on the Viti and T talk to podcast. Um,

that's real. That's so real because I think we all get in this moment of feeling like having to have a job to get that money, but then there's still some sort of unfulfillment and it's like the thing that helps you breathe even when you don't even know you need oxygen. Um. I think that's kind of been like the fuel to keep like pushing because you know, nobody's when you're going after your dreams, nobody's gonna root further

further you than yourself. Like you gotta want it, and if you try and establish a brand, you gotta be so excited about it that you enroll other people to get excited about it just because you're excited about it.

And I don't know if a lot of people realize or are you realizing, like what your dream is and what it is that you want to do because you know, if you asked the TV, he says, great things don't come from comfort zones, and the first step in any journey is to get out of them, right, right, How do you get out of being uncomfortable doing something that's uncomfortable? Yeah, exactly. Um, it might be something that you have an itch that you want to try, or something like that, but maybe

you know, maybe you're scared something like that. That probably means you need to do it. Mm hmmm, because you're gonna be uncomfortable and you're gonna be n grow from me. And you gotta know, because it's like, it has to be something that's driving you towards this, right, and you know that it's something that's challenging because it's not easy for you to get but it's still some sort of interest. So then you have to ask yourself as why not.

I think oftentimes we look at a certain situations and things that happened to us, it's like, oh, why mean, why mean? But why not you? And in this instance, why won't you be great? Why won't you dedicate to loving yourself so much that you're not only like feel better, you physically look better emotionally like your skin, like like I feel like when you love on yourself, and in this instance that we're talking about, like working out, you get permission for other people to find some sort of

love on themselves. And it's just like people feel it. It's an energy, right, yeah, people feel it. And it's like whether we're feeling out, we're working with you, whether it's because I'm listening to your own mix tapes, or whether I'm wearing your apparel, it's just the whole idea of getting out of the comfort zones. And I understand you just dropped another line of merch, right yeah, yeah,

so I had. Um, it's my second collection. It was collection you can you could understand who I'm sitting here talking to you? Okay, Lativa, Oh I'm trying. Okay. In case you wonder, I'm training dot co. Check out the website. Okay, sorry, I just had to let them know they work. Confused. Can you bean my hype man? Can you just walk around with me like on the day to day? Hey? Um, it's called the Magical Things Collection. So it's it's one shirt,

two different color ways. Magical things, Uh, happening outside of the comfort zones. Um? So that was the push for this this one. It was just the another iteration of getting out of your comfort zone, letting people know that, you know, magical things happen outside coal we you create stuff.

I mean, just when you think that you know you're not unsure whether or not you can go after your dreams, or just when you think that you can't do something, you've been equipped biologically, like this should be the get go. Biologically your body was designed to create life. And here's

the thing. If you get caught up on making life out of flesh and skin and bones, you forget the life that you create when it comes to just creating an opportunity, creating a different film, creating a different genre, just creating something new, and it's magical. And I feel like sometimes we go through this bout and I say about because we have these little bouts in life, but we forget our magic. Isn't that crazy? Like I guess it's mind blowing because I find myself in a slump

at times when things go you know, disarray. But I think it's the same thing where I was talking about how you got to make sure that you have the vision. The vision is the vision. Now I want to go onto the vision. But since we're on the topic of the apparel, understanding that you're offering the sweet little deal

vitamin D um hey, vitamin D fifteen. So you can check out the the shop on training dot co click the shop and um you can check it out at the checkout, type in Vitamin D fifteen, Vitamin D fifteen. So soon this this little this episode comes out, you gotta make sure that you're tuned in. Check out oh M training dot co dot c oh get your apparel

so you can be flied. You're gonna see my picture on my shirt with my own training, you know what, I got my little fit on and he got his no comfort zones and then you're gonna see the magic line that's out there too. Make sure you type in vitamin D fifteen to get your discounting. Is it fifteen per sent right? Yeah, for sure? And um, just as long as they're on the website and there is a promo code when they check out. Yeah, so it'll be a little space that you can enter a promo code

before checkout. Okay, now you did say um orlin you said, Hey, I don't have expectations, but I'm wondering, what's the vision for own training. Man, the vision is just to do what I'm doing, but at a higher level. Um. When that comes to me as a personal trainer, obviously, I want to be the best personal trainer I can be, so that that involves me learning, so continuous learning. As far as the brand in general, UM, we're gonna keep pushing the on tapes. I love curating the workout playlist.

It's another passion of mine. Um, We're gonna keep on pushing no comfort zones, keep on uh making you know, fire merge and whatnot. That's also a passion of mine. I just wanna do any and everything that I'm passionate about. And I now I don't think that Um, I don't think that I have a ceiling. I don't think that the brand has a ceiling. So yeah, I can't put magic instode of a bottle stop. I like that. Um, I like that old idea of the vision about not

having ceilings. Now, for somebody that's that's listening in and they're perhaps interested in a training session or or working out with you, what is the process? What can they expect from the training session? UM? So how you can contact me? I have the site, same site that you can find the merchant on so own training dot Co you can message me on their UM. Outside of that on Instagram as well, Own training dot Co on Instagram

UM you can message me on there as well. And like I said, I offered in person or virtue virtual. I didn't know that, yeah, also virtual UM. So if you even if you're listening to this out of town, if you want to right, you can be anywhere to glow South Africa, Germany, Australia and Arctica catch it right. Those are a few ways that you can contact me as far as uh, like a typical session. Um, that all depends on goals, so whatever that person's goal is. So yes, I mean it's hard for me to like say,

like what exactly what happened? Again, it all depends on goals, um, but we're gonna strive to reach those goals for sure, so you're gonna be striving one. Because I'll tell you this, I didn't feel like I was nine because I probably was already dead. And I said, I used that loosely because I was working muscles that I forgot what's happening. So it's like my body is still shaking and recovering.

But it was beautiful because you know, if you just think of atoms inside of our body, the electrical lights, that's what call is in the move and for everything to just be moving, it's amazing. Now you could ask my body and my muscles. He felt that was a different story. But I think if I would say to somebody that's looking into training with Latifa is to expect greatness. And essentially one, if you're listening to this, I want to salute you in sec congratulations because that means that

you're taking your life to the next level. It means that you've decided to live your life on purpose and for a purpose, and that you acknowledge and recognize that you are your greatest asset. So shout out to you for doing what to do. But then also you know, coming in the sense of just showing up to your b as God dag it because it's something when you show it to a job and you can make whatever

excuse to somebody else. But what you're gonna say when you're looking in the mirror, because when you think you want to stop, the only person looking back is you. What what I am training and I'm working out? I'm not anybody but Dawn, So then I have to ask myself, Dawn, how bad do you want it? What it is like the ultimate strength? Because it's everything that you have and everything that pass you think that you don't. And they're approaching each other. Then it's like, Okay, there's a glass

half full and half empty. What is your perspective? How do you want to view it? How bad do you want it? Because you can sit here all day and say that you want greatness for your life. You can sit here all day say you want to do and be in the best shape of your life. You can sit here and all day and scream out how bad do you want it? But when it's time to show up for the test, are you ready to learn the lesson? And the lesson is is that you are your greatest asset.

What are you putting into your life bank account? And I gotta be passionate about that because we're down fifty pounds now. Listen, I'm tripping outbum and eating a lot of food. That's not that's not a little bit of pounds, right right, right, that's facts. But you know, it comes to point of that grace that we talked about before, of just that forgiveness but understanding This process is a journey, and I think that goes for anything that we're doing.

It's always a journey until there is a period. There's not a period until you take your last breath. So keep going. If you fall off, get back up, right shoe. That's all I tell myself. With that one push up turned into twelve ball? What much? So much stronger, so much stronger. I can feel it, and it's amazing because I've lost weight before. But I'm approaching people now and they're like, Yo, this brother, know what he's doing? Like doing you up here? You know? Things are sculpting, things

are coming into formation. And I think that's to what to be said. Um, and a testament when you decide to take your health seriously and to to invest in a trainer. The fact that you guys can see pinpoint and to create because you're an artist, you're scolding up. It's almost like putting a puzzle together, like program program design. Yeah, it's fun to me. It's fun to me. So what's

next with all training? Um? What's next? Um? I'm gonna continue learning, growing, becoming a better training So it's only gonna get better. So I'm gonna get better as far as the brand. Um, like I said, we're gonna continue on tapes drops once a month, once a month. So we just dropped on tape six, So on tape seven will be next of course. Um, and it's just again on tapes is just it's just vibes. It's just again

through your workout. I want to I want you to dance, I want you to be happy, I want you to be sad. I want you to be motivated and inspired, like throughout the entire workout. So that could be new songs, it could be old songs, it could be rapid, could be R and B, it could be any genre. Um, but yeah, that's uh, that's on tapes. Um, as far as uh merch. It'll be another collection coming before the end of the year. You know, if you need a Carvey girl on there, you know you got me. Hey,

I'm just saying I'll put it out the yard. Go ahead, I'm listening. I'm gonna hold you to it. I'm gonna hold you to it. But yeah, it it'll be another collection, um before the end of the year. Also, it will be Um, it hasn't been. This is actually like my first time like telling this to people outside of the you know, my inner circle. But um, it's also gonna be a group a group class Um that's gonna be coming. It's called n CCU No Comfort Zone University, No Comfort

Zone University. So that's uh coming soon. So um if you want to pull up for a session, if you're in the l A area, in the l A area, so that that would be coming um sometime this summer. Um. Outside of that, like I said, March collect another collection to the drop before the end of the year. Y'all heard it right here now, if you've been listening for a while, you know that I have life tattered on the bottom my lip. Did you know that? Did you know I'm a gangster gangster on the low loud? You

really do. I have lives tatting on my lift. And I did this years ago. And it was because it was just for me and speaking life people. You better know it. That was the whole, the whole motive behind it. It was just because that's my AMMO in life, is to to shed some light, to be like yo. You can do it, like yo, It's possible. But I always find myself in this little crux of you know, I want to be the inspirational but I'm just a messenger. Don't give me mixed up with the message meaning I'm human.

So I always try to you know, not trying always makes you want to make sure that it's clear that I'm here to inspire to motivate. But I'm just done like I'm going to make my mistakes. And I use that loosely as a mistake. I'm making my learning lessons right, So I do things that are not status quo. In the minute you try to put me in the box, I'm more than likely going to disappoint you. No mistakes or losses. It's only lessons. Hello, And every lesson is

a blessing. Every lesson is a blessing. So I'm curious, you know. I ask all my guests when they come in is to leave us with a dose of vitamin D, and never Vitamin D could be a quote. It could be a lyric, It could be a scripture. It could be whatever it is that you feel, could be your dose of light that you can give to other people. What would you say, Mr Letty without him training? MM, I know, I'm so dramatic, man. Two quotes come to mind, Give us one of them. I don't know the exact quote.

It's on my wall because I have it on a sticky note. But the first one definitely would be. You know, great things don't come from comfort zones. Um. So again, I urge people scratch that itch. If you got, if you gotta, If something is nudging you, is telling you that you need to try something, do something, to attempt something, just do it. Um. You only got one life to live, only one life to live. So again, if you if you're feeling uncomfortable in the situation or job, whatever, you're

probably in the right place. You're probably doing the right thing. You're gonna learn a lot, You're gonna grow a lot. Dang. I want to say the other quote, but I wanted to be perfect and something is having a perfect because you imagine if I wanted to do a perfect push up, just give it, just give me a give something on the lines of like a last it's like this old

old quote that I found. Um it's but anyway, the base of it is is that it's something about like dying with all your music in you, and it pretty much is stating like you don't want to like die with all that you know what's inside of you. Um, Like we all can We all can see, So you know, it's I wish I would have reminds me. It's just saying like, um, they said, like the richest place in the world is a cemetery of how many people have died with their dreams. So it's like, rather than dying

with your music, with your song, let it outside was empty. Yes, live life to the fullest. Let's see, if I know, just looking at my life and just getting to this point in my thirty some years. Um, And that's why

I brought up Burnet Brown. I didn't realize probably how oftentime as we allow shame to dictate our life about what we will do, about what we won't do, things, we will say, things that we will go after basically just feeling like we're inadequate, whether they're showing up with that vulnerability of not knowing you're just showing up just

because my god, when you show up. And it's just so interesting that sometimes we find different things to find shame or hide behind in shame, whether it's like simply oh, I don't have an outfit to wear working out, or oh, I'm sure you've heard this. People feel like paying for a trainers too much money. We're talking about your life. And I always tell people to like, as far as personal training goes, Lebron James arguably the greatest basketball player ever.

He has a personal trainer. He has coaches holding him accountable, leading him anything you do in life, Like, if you can get a coach or somebody to hold you accountable, you need to do it. And and a personal trainer is only gone enhance your life. Like trst me. It's only going to enhance your life. Like if you're gonna, you know, take your health seriously and stuff like that, Like,

definitely get a personal trainer. And you guys are people literally standing on the sidelines to be like, hey, choose me so that I can help you live your best life. Hey choose me so I can ensure that you're living your best life? What mean? Yeah? And the excuses that oftentimes I think people make as a reason not tune us, like why wouldn't you? Yeah, I mean I definitely understand, you know, finances and stuff like that. But so there's

virtual there's video types, there's there's so many things. Yeah, I mean, it's it's options. Is definitely options um to make that happen for sure, And so you heard it. If you're trying to make it happen, make sure you check out the website. Oh am signing dot CEO. Check out the sessions.
