Speaker 1

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. You are tuned into the Vitamin D with dwn Day Podcasts and I am your host, Dawn Day, here to get you excited about your life so that you can live life on purpose and for a purpose. And this is your first time tuning in and welcome Vitamin D. It's upun of our name. My name is Dawn and you get Vitamin D from the sun. So I'm here to share light into your life.

And I do this with inspirational insights and conversations with celebrities and everyday people like you and me, Because if you want to be better and you want to do better, then you're going to have to be able to see better. So join me on this journey of living our best lives and understanding and realizing how you are your greatest asset.

Can I ask you something, Why is it that we understand the value of an original something that's where, but can't understand the value within ourselves myself with that, like, there's value of just being you, doing you exactly how you are. Yeah, we go throughout life caring and valuing the opinions of others. In fact, so much so we're willing to change out of a parents, change what we say we value. We even put on masks to fit into a room, rather than just showing up as and

who we are. Perhaps we feel as though we have some securities right because we aren't perfect, perhaps coming from a broken home, not having the financial money, perhaps dealing with a mental illness, not coming in this cookie cutter box. We have this tendency to hide. But I want to challenge you to step forward. You know what they say, what allows a diamond to shine are the multitudes of cuts that have been placed within it. Are you ready to shine? Now? We also know that I sure makes diamonds.

So that's all the trials and trubulations that you've experienced in your life. I've led you right here, and I challenge you to show up as you. I think of my life and how I have made it a point to make room for Dawn to be this aggressive, this loud, frombunctious, this human, this person to show up as me because I realize I'm more valuable being me than anyone else. And I hope you do too. Get your right in may right with me. I get excited about your magical

things are happening. Yeah, I feel it, and also because I'm claiming it, but honestly, to think about the magical things happen every day. I think that's why they say gratitude is everything, because in practicing gratitude, you understand why you're grateful for everything along the way. And that's gonna cause you to pause, to take a minute, to sit, to see two here, to feel, to breathe, to breathe, to breathe. It sounds so simple, but we'd rather make

it hard. But it's happening. I'm manifesting. I'm manifesting because I'm seeing the things that I once said come to fruition. Do you know how amazing that is? And then it also reminds me how powerful we are. For the longest I kept saying, I said, I gotta make growne for Dawn, make room for Dawn to show up. And I caught myself. I was out to Don the other day out in

uh Sherman Oaks at Dr Dre's restaurant. I'm always gonna mispronounce this Tasho Dasho t a I s h o and we were just talking and were just catching up and talking about what we are in life and my birtha had recently passed. I don't know when you're gonna hear this, but you know it's April nineteen. And they were like, well, what did you do? I was like,

you know him, Captain road Chill Loki celebrated me. And then somehow I inserted in there about how important it is for me to make room for myself, how I'm calling forth abundance exceedingly and beyond, far more than what I could ever imagine for sure, And they were like, oh, what do you mean about this whole making room? I said, well,

I know myself, I've always been titled as strong. That's always been an adjective to describe me, whether that was a physical thing, whether that was the emotional thing, whether that's a personality. The way I talk, everything is strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, And you know, sometimes I can make you feel kind of well. How it made me feel was uneasy. It made me feel as if that wasn't good, as if it's something to be shameful for, maybe perhaps something I

needed to change. And I said, you know what, I'm walking forth because you know I'm working out. Don't act like you don't say it, don't don't listen. Okay, I'm just saying shot out to LITTI, but oh, I'm training dot CEO, tell him down. They sent you. Um, I'm lifting these weights and not toning, and I'm shutting. And I'm realizing how strong I really am. I'm noticing how strong my personality is, whether it comes out with emotion, and I'm making room for that to be strong, how

my delivery and how I speak. I realized that often times or sometimes it can be strong, but the times I would have tried to change it. For example, when I first moved out to l A an old friend, a roommate of mine, we were talking and we were talking about speakers, and she made a comment saying that most successful piece speakers are men, because men compend the attension of a room. They have a powerful voice. That's what people want to hear, don't Your voice is so powerful,

it's like a man. But you know, no one wants to hear a woman. And what I've received on that, I was like, oh my gosh, I need to change like one. This is a manly thing. You know. I'm not soft enough to be a speaker too. Perhaps it's not even a possibility for me, but damn three I'll realized I gotta be just me and it could have quickly just changed my viewpoint of not wanting to do that. And I know this is my gear. And that's what I mean when I say I'm making room for Dawn

to show up. And I guess it's the top of mind because I'm still on my high for my recently did um I want to say like an open my poetry session with people's anti people's and Kenneth Nelson is called Love Jones. It was over here at the Soho Warehouse in l A and I did my piece, I recited some others, and so many people came up to me like, Wow, You're amazing, Wow you did that while you're delivery. I loved your peace. I felt the emotion. How can I keep up with you? I just want

to follow you. I just want to be around you. How could you imagine had I been a Dawn that would receive that other roommate and said that speaking is for a man. No one really wants to hear a woman speak. I could have missed out on my joy. But that's when I say magical things are happening. It's a beautiful thing when things can be unveiled. It's a

beautiful thing when you can see beyond your eyes. That's why they call it vision right, and when you take a minute to just breathe in it, to really embrace it authentically, and holy it feels good. It even feels good on my vision board. One of the things I put up on that I said style. I was like, I just want to walk out fly every damn day

just to be fly. You know, I walk out every day just to be fly, and not to sign racketocious, but just to keep it real because I think you just gotta love on you just this way and whatever makes you feel good, because it's beyond just what you see. People stop me and be like can I take a picture with you? I'm dead ass. The reason why that's a big moment for me because remember I told you, this is the same Dawn that did not go to

events because she could not find something to wear. Do you see how I did a one eighty on that? Do you see what I mean when I said how I'm manifesting this life, this lifestyle, all the state of being magical things are happening. You have to speak it over yourself. You gotta believe it. So much that you talk and you walk in confidence of it. Case some point here recently, I was over at the Queensberry. That's a little club downtown listen to Ali. It's usually after

we leave Soho Warehouse, we go over Queensberry. And this guy there who was just vibein and you know a lot of people are saying, wow, you're energy, your vibe, You're not gonna really feel you. You You radiate. And so we were on our moment and he had to stop and he had a few words and he had to speak some things over me. And then as he kept he was telling me about he said, God told me to come over to tell you I have a message for you that abundance is coming in. I'm here to

help you. But the thing that was so amazing for me as he was telling me the things that were happening in his life and that we're going to happen. I didn't know this man from a can of paint, but the conviction that he spoke over his life got me so excited. Each and every one of us should wake up that excited about our lives, so much that we enroll other people to get that excited. Because I said, wow, you can be so bold and so bodacious to claim

these things over your life. Why can it not happen? That's confidence, right, That's another thing where I'm saying, like, wow, Dawn, you're ranking room for yourself. Because remember this was the same dawn that one didn't have anything to wear, what wasn't going out. I would have never met this gentleman manifesting my fitness, getting from behind the scenes, being authentically me, and that seeing me. It's having grace with myself. Magical

things are happening. I'm grateful that I'm slowing down to see it, and I want that same thing for you. You know, you're living a day that you once prayed for. You realize that. And the reason why I was saying before, my gratitude is so important because life be life, and depression, grief, resentment, those kind of things try to keep you still in a moment that feels like life just stopped. But then

life keeps life. But when we find that moment just to operate and just that little bit of gratitude, it gives us that how to keep on going. Were you like, man, it ain't that bad time? This is Vanessa Bell callaway peace. What's up, everybody, this is trade change and you are listening to down Day. I was at the gym today. You know, I'm working out with the thief, but I work out in West Hollywood and one of the owners, I guess founders. He's one of the staples, the pillars

of the gym. Because we started out in a parking lot and then we got to a facility. I looked at him and I waved. He said, don't you're always so happy? And I said, I woke up today. There's a lot of things that I'm sure I could say I want to change that. I want more of that, I want to do more of, see more of. But as my friend Shelly reminded me today, she said, Dahn, do you know how much you've grown just simply from January. Ry gratitude is everything. I see the alignment coming with

the numbers. I feel good. And you know what else, I'm loving too. And I'm saying these magical things because I'm making room for Dawn. There's nothing more beautiful than having control over yourself because we understand how powerful we are and we can master ourselves. I mean, what the hell, what can you not do? What can you not have? What peace can you not feel? Yo? And I guess I'm giving myself a taste of that by staying discipline

on my regiment or working out. I'm giving that to myself because that's something that I haven't always been consistent of. And I'm proud of myself because I'm keep going because what they say, you can't fail if you don't quit. And every time that I do, because listen and this thing called life, and I say, it's like, were these energy forces and it's just frequencies. There's ups and there's those downs. I experienced them too. But when I want to stop, when I want to give up, I have

to ask myself something. I say, doing do you want to be great? Because if you want to be great, you gotta do things that great people do, and great people do things that every day people don't do. Do you want to be great? I want to be great. I want you to be great? Why just be good? When you can be great? Why not live a life of abundance? Why not living overflow? Why not living joy? Even back at the Love Jones event, this whole girl came up to me, young lady. I think her name

is Jade. I'm looking on my Instagram right now to see with the recent followers. But she came up and she was just like, yo, he did such an amazing job. Now she didn't say yo, that's just me saying y'all um. Her name is Jay Jay Adam, Jordan Jordan's. Yes, Hey Jordan's heck shout out to Jordan's. She came up to me and she was saying, wow, you did such a great job. And her friend next to her and said, you know, she should have got up there too. I said,

what do you mean by that? She said, oh, my gosh, she has a beautiful voice. I looked at her. I said, you can say. Yeah, I walk into a little something. I said, wait a minute, I said, hold on, can you sing or can you not sing? I noticed her eyes started lighting up like they're starting flickering and things like that, And I'm like, wait, what is happening right now? It's like, oh, you know what, I've seen a little bit. You know, I'd like to say I'm a shower singer.

I said, so if you could make a little all right, listen, if I could like maybe make a track or album one day, you know, I'll go ahead and do that. I said, wait a minute, I say, you can sing, and your life can give you exceedingly and beyond of joy of happiness. You can live a livelihood of singing what you're doing. She shook her head and she said yes. I said, Now, when you say you might can sing a little bit, I said, what do you mean by that?

I said, you gotta speak life over yourself. I was like, you're talking about living a life of joy, of peace, of abundance with a gift, something that was uniquely cure rated for you. It makes me think how many of us have gifts that we're just sitting on because we're afraid, because we think there's not enough time, because simply we don't think we can do it. But when it came to you, people wouldn't be affirming you of this if something didn't exist. Oh my god, can you imagine? I

had to ask her again. I said, what's coming on? What? I was like, you all smile one and cheeseus and stuff. She's like, well, you know, you got me excited and all this kind of stuff. I said, well, you need to get out there and do it, because that's how you should be living and feeling about your life every day. You mean, it's just like, well, can I follow you on social media? Can I just follow you somewhere shout out to your Jordan, thank you for having me up.

And you know, also have to go around. I have to go around after people were telling me how great of a job I did, how amazing I was. I made sure and I say it, thank you. That's why I say gratitude is everything. I said thank you against I said, you didn't have to come up to me to tell me this, but you felt so much and confidence and you sold much assurance about it that you said, let me walk over there and tell me. I want to let you know that means a lot to me.

I told you this is my dream. Any way that I can exercise my dream by using my voice, I'm gonna do it. On top of the fact, you know I love affirmations. You see how my gift is given to me. I go out there and speak perhaps a poem, maybe something inspirational, speaking life to Jordan's about how she can take off and say. Then folks give back to me and say, wow, Dawn, thank you that was great. While you really have a gift, this is something in

your lane. But remember I had to make room for Dawn to be bold, to be strong, to be audacious, to see her weakness where she is and stopping the light. I'm making room for Dawn. It's all working out, feeling like I'm taking my last breath with every step with the teeth. That's making room for the rooms that I'm stepping in. You catch what I'm saying. Me working out with Latieth, being disciplined with myself, walking my five miles every day, working out twice a day, five or six

times a week, that's making room for Dawn. That's who you see right here. Somebody even said they're like, all that time you spend walking, you know you could probably burn X amount of calories in twenty minutes. I ain't gotta rush because on my walk, I can think, I breathing, I'm being present, I'm listening to my music. I'm in a state of gratitude. Remember, gratitude is everything. That's what's

been going on with me. All right. If you like to be a guest on the show, if you got an idea for a topic of conversation, I want you to shoot us email Vitamin D at Dawn day Speaks dot com.
