Like I'm literally figuring out as I go. But I
realized I gotta just keep going. You know. Every week I'm coming to the studio and I record my podcast, and I recorded in such a way that I know and one day this is gonna be something big. I can't explain. How do I know? I just know what I know that I know, and that's how I feel like you gotta be about your dreams. There's no rooms for no butts, maybees if it doesn't work out, because you just gotta know. You gotta know that you know that you know, and that's the truth, and you know
the truth by the way that it feels. And I guess I just want to encourage you with that, with anything that you want. Sometimes people like were doing how did you know you were gonna make it? Or doing how did you know you're gonna do it? Or basically doing how did you do it? I was just doing it. I don't think I had everything figured out. I just put one ft in front of the other and I decided to keep moving. And I want to encourage you to keep moving, keep going after it. It It gets you
excited for a reason. You're passionate about it for a reason, it intrigues you for a reason. Entertain it just for that reason. Feed yourself something, take it to you ins on yourself. Can you please do that for yourself? Please? I want that for you because I want that for me. Go out, think your dreams, Go ahead and take a chance. You don't have to have it all figure out, just one step at a time, Okay, one step at a time, and it's okay if you don't have it all figured out.
It's okay if you make a mistake, because you're learning. And when you're learning, that means you're growing. When you're growing, that means you're stretching. When you're stretching, that means you're expanding. When you're expanding, that means you're experiencing new things. And when you're experiencing new things, that means you're living. I'll go out there and live, get your iteminy right with me, and get excited about your lives. What is happening, What
is going on? I feel like it's been for ever since I came in the studio. I had to go out of town. Um had a death in the family, so went out to Detroit to see the fan band and show support. And yeah, and I'm gonna say you know, I was going for about a week, so I've been off my regimen. And with that being said, I noticed I was scuffling down anthy and everything. Honey, this is the point I'm showing out to the minute, I said, Dawn,
have we lost sight of the vision? Did we forget where we're going and what we're trying to do, which leads me to what I want to talk to you today about. And that's the I n G in life, the ing. It's the part of the words that makes the verb award in action. You know, like you can drive, but you can be driving, you can live and you can be living. You can be dead or you could
be dying. You feel me. And the reason why that that came top of mind is because you know, we have our social media page, Vitamin D Dawn Day, and primarily Jeremiah manages that, but I definitely peek in and make sure you know, just to see what's going on, what you guys are talking about. So I have somebody that made a comment under a recent video. The title of it is growing It's Dawn, be who you are
so I can see you. And basically in the video, I'm talking about how we place expectations on people and how that's not fair. And what happens with those expectations is is that we need to whether than having signing somebody up for something, we need to make room for them to show up as they are and then for that person who's deciding to show up, be who you are, so I can see who you are or whomever, and then it can be a decision whether or not you want to sign up. But half the time I feel
like we aren't being truthful with ourselves. So when we step into different situations and relationships, it's hard to not the gate because we aren't even being authentic to who we are. So how can any situation or any person know how to react or to be active in that situation? You feel me? So I had somebody to make a comment, I guess as I was explaining my process of understanding of how I want to make room for Dawn and make room for other people to show up as they are.
Her name is Elizabeth Honay. Now I say Honay because it's like three wise um in her name. Mom, just say Elizabeth. She made a comment, she says, I want to hear your story and how you got to this sense of healing your journey and what made such a profound change. And I think when I first got it, I was flattered. I was like, wow, you know I've arrived.
I got to this point where somebody is seeing me and they're like yes, Dawn, Yes, And I know as I've been saying on previous episodes, I'm like, I'm working on this level of vulnerability. I want to show up. I want to make room. I also want to make it so that I can relate to you. So when I'm telling you about a product, if I'm telling you about an idea, you know me. You know what I like, you know what I get into. So if I'm telling
you what's popping, you know that it's popping. So as I'm evaluating, I'm thinking, like, wow, I got to this moment, the sense of the state of somebody saying while you're there, And I had to humble myself a bed. I had to humble myself because I am reminded of the eye in g in life, the whole thing, and realizing when we think about arriving to a sense or place or destination, to me, that says it's over, it's done. But in life, you're living. Do you understand it's not like you just
live no or lived. If you're still have breath in your body, you're living. You only lived past tense once you're no longer here. So I guess with this process and what's spawn about the fact that I'm talking about you know, derailing and just engulfing and anything is that, whether it's me working out, whether it's me changing my my fitness, whether you're dating in a relationship, you don't just do something and stop. So when people say, or when somebody can say, how did you get the sense
of there? How did you arrive to that point? Well, I like to change the narrative and say that I'm constantly arriving. And I guess what's helping is that is that I've been making space for Dawn, making room for doing. And if I'm making room for Dawn, I know how to teach and treat myself. Now I can teach and treat somebody else the right way, right because now we're operating a space of movement, of ability to move. And I realized of how I'm at this space of healing.
Is that grace is so important. A friend recently said to me that grace is giving space catch it. Grace is giving space to move, to breathe, to exist. And I'm just wondering how often do we give our own self space? Even for example, if you look at a plant that's in a pot, after so long, there comes to a point that the plant needs to be repotted,
to get into a different space, for more space. Because the roots have now extended, the roots have grown, the roots are needing to expand the same and such as life. That's why I think it's so important not to move around me so arrogant about stuff. I feel like you know it all that you've been there, done that, you know you sent it on the way back. Because each day, each moment is a process of learning, is a process
of healing. And that's why I think it's so important that whatever you engage into, whether it be a job and whether it be a relationship, let it be something that you enjoy, so that you can be in the doing of it, not looking at a point of saying when it's done and it's a check mark. And now that I'm over it, I realized with myself, I'm not over me. So when you say, hey, Dawn, how did you get to this sense of healing, It's because I'm
allowing myself space. And with this space, I'm allowing myself grace. And with this grace, I'm allowing moments of just being existing, whatever I'm feeling in the moment, allow myself to feel. But more importantly, see myself. See that's another thing that's so amazing about space. Space not only gives you the ability to move, but now you can see things from
different angles, from different points of view. There's a different lighting, there's a different elevation, there's a different clarity, there's a different everything. Now, as far as learning my story, which you're gonna have to stay here for a long time because true, I can go on father out the video over three decades now. But as you subscribe to Vitamin D with Dawn Day, which is of a born, every platform that you may listen to your favorite podcasts, you're
gonna get pieces of me. And what I realized is what these pieces. Let let's let's be clear what these pieces just as the same with you. There are different shapes and sizes, they're different colors, they're different huges. You put them in different life, different things happen. But when you put them together, that create this mosaic that is me. That's not something that you can put in a box. That's not something that subscribes to a certain area of
certain times on. It's just a dawn thing. And I realized that when I'm allonging space, I don't have to associate it to being something that is other than me. It's just me, point blank period. And when I'm as I'm arriving to this sense because I'm not done yet. There's so much more that I'm going to uncover that I'm going to discover. I'm realizing that it's the journey that is important. And you've heard me say this before about my previous bar Berta Louis t Pow. The Arnie
is the experience, and the experience is the journey. So when we talk about this whole notion of healing, let's just focus on the eye and gee, I bet if we just look in our life and in all areas and see where are we doing the ing in it? Are we loving? Are we enjoying? Are we breathing? Are we being? Are we seeing? Are we believing? Contemplate, team, surviving, thriving. I want to know what's your I n G for life? What are you doing? If you find yourself in a
space that you're not doing anything? I just want to ask you why, Not to judge, but just why. Because this time that we're here on this earth is limited.
That's why we're all special offers. We're only here for a limited time only, and I think oftentimes, probably the moment we got out of the womb, we've been in this race, you know, this race to a destination, this race to grow up, trying to get to the next thing, to be the next thing, to see the next thing, to achieve the next thing, rather than just being the thing and the only thing that I say about that. I love the idea of the movement. I love the
idea of keep moving forward. But it's something about when you see that destination that you think it's a moment of stopping. And I think that that's what you get caught up at because as I'm saying, or as I mentioned earlier, and I'm saying, my journey as far as eating right or eating for my body that is nourishing my body and working out, you know, oftentimes we think we're going to get to a destination that it stops, like, Okay, I'm gonna release this amount of weight, I'm gonna get fit,
and that's it. I'm not gonna eat healthy anymore and I'm not gonna work out. But that's not how it works. You got to maintain that. No more difference than if you're in a relationship you're courting the person that you're interesting, you're dating them, you're treating them nice, you're loving them. You don't just get them and get in a relationship and then you just stop. No, you decide to play a professional sport. You don't just train one day and
then you decide to stop training. No, you continue to train and understand how important it is to train every day, hence the training sessions. So why do we look at it any different when it comes to our lives? Why do we look at it when we finally get to this place? And perhaps that's even why gratitude is so important, because what do I say, The more grateful you are, the more things you have to be grateful for. Hey, this is your girl's girly strawberry. How are you doing? Hi? Everybody,
this is jad member coming to you from the viting. Indeed, life keep shining down, keep shining. Oftentimes, as we're speeding to the next thing in life, we forget the moment of the now. We lose focus of the moment of the now because we'll get so caught up by trying to catch the next thing that we can't even understand the gratitude of this thing. To appreciate what we are now. So what we get depressed? We we we have anxiety, there's anger, there's resentment, all the things that don't serve us,
let alone, that don't even deserve us. But not realizing that it was a choice, a choice of whether or not we decided to show this type of gratitude, because gratitude to have your slowed down a bit, Gratitude to have you look around a bit, Gratitude to have you just breathe a bit because you're realized that you're living the days that you want prayed for. You kind of get a different evaluation of where you're going, but more importantly, you get a more of appreciation of where you're being.
So where are you in your life right now? Is it someplace that you can be proud of? I'm sure if you decided to put an e D on it or a period, I can't imagine how exciting that is. Because once you stop, it's done. What joy comes from that? Yes, the faint memory of being loved, but imagine to be loving, to be in the process, to be living, to be being That's beautiful. And I just want to make sure that you stay in the eye in g and your life. Don't put too much pressure on where you gotta be.
Just know where you're going, understand where you're being, but reside in the now in a allow it to be the gift. That's where the magic is, that's where the power is, that's where the light is. More importantly, that's where you are. So in this space of growing and healing, you realize there's a sense of peace because there's no anxiety or anxiousness that you have about where you're supposed to be at. There are no regretsive where you've been.
There's just the appreciation of right now because you know you can doubt them all right, it can be over right now. And if that were the case, can you say that you lift? Are you living? Wow? I guess they just worked up some emotions of just coming back from Detroit and being at a funeral and it's just my god. Can you be in there now? And can you live? Huh? Can you take your pieces together and
make your peace? Can you grasp the idea that you're here for a limited time, So therefore you are a special offer, not meant for discounts, more so for appreciation and value, value enough to give space. So therefore you lend yourself grace. Can you get it in the now? Are you living in the now? That's the eye in g So, Elizabeth, you said, how did you get to this sense of healing? I guess because I'm just staying
with doing it. I never thought about what it looks like, because I guess, just like with anything, you kind of want to get better, you want to get further. I can just tell you right now, I'm just gonna continue to to work on expanding my space for me, my space for other people, and then allowing myself to decide whether or not I'm going to choose to sign up for it, because it's something about that space that allows you to have your own standing, your own power. That's
what that space allows you. It allows you to see things from various angles. It allows you to take your time, it allows you to breathe. That's what the space permits for you. And so that's what I'm giving to myself, And that's how I guess I'm arriving to the sense of healing. I'm allowing it to be a process. I'm showing it grace and and realizing I'm figuring it out as I go and I'm also realizing with this level
of grace, there's a sense of love. And to me, what love means to me is that you don't give up on love. Now, there may be a different ways that you handle it, but you don't give up on love, especially not loving on yourself. And with that being said, of giving yourself grace and knowing that you change, knowing that different things interest you, knowing that things not everyone, and everything deserves to be in your life, but allowing the space for it to move, that's a different kind
of love. And I think it's a beautiful thing. And we can all get to that space literally and enjoy that space of love. We can all see that, we can all be that, we can all feel that. But that's the I energy of life. I don't want to wait to a finite destination because when it's time for that destination and I'm going and I'm not here, but as I'm still living, I still want my I n G. I still want to do everything. I still want to be experiencing as if it's a new thing, right. I
don't want it to be mendane. I wanted to be feeling refreshed. I wanted to excite me. I wanted to give me joy and allow me that piece. And I guess I want that for you too. Now, I guess I know I do. That's why I'm sharing it with you. That's why I'm doing what it is that I do because I want that for everyone. And I guess you said, well, how did you get to this sense of healing? A major thing that I have to contribute it to. It's vulnerability.
If I hadn't been vulnerable enough to share that, perhaps there was a time that I placed the expectation on people, whether than giving them space and room to show up as they are, you would not have been able to connect. Vulnerability is everything, Vulnerability is power. Vulnerability is your source of power, your source of connection. I guess we gotta ask ourselves if we want to be vulnerable. That's another thing that I'm showing up as I say, Wait, abundance,
that's for a lifetime. Have vulnerability and gratitude. Yeah, because gratitude allows me to realize. As I was even pulling up today, I just had to remind myself, I said, doing God, dog A, you're walking up in the studio Vitamin D and Studio E in Sherman Oaks, California. I pray for days like this, and I'm still dreaming, and I'm still going on, and I'm still going to the gratitude, and I'm still making room, and I'm still doing vulnerability, and I'm still opening up so that you can connect
with me. And I'm gonna be here for a long time. So you say, Darling, I wanted to get to know your story. Well, here you go. Tell somebody to tell somebody else, to tell somebody else, to tell somebody else that Dawn Day got a podcast. It's called Vitamin dep with Dawn Day and it's available wherever you get your favorite podcast. Vitamin D is all about shutting the light on the good and the bad because if you want to be better and you want to do better, you
gotta be able to see better. It's time to shine, Bryant. So I'm gonna get out of here. That's my check in the eye energy of life. Yeah, you know, I always say I'm in the business of making dreams come true, and I damn show ain't gonna forget about mine. So until next time always, but you are your greatest dassa.
