Episode description

Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to self-love. Now that might sound like a broad topic and we often find self-love to be a slogan or one of those words that gets used so much as to be useless. But when you think about love and I mean the type of love you have for yourself, do you think about the conditions that you’ve put on loving yourself? Do you ever think how it compares to the love you show to others? Do you think on what is holding you back from showing that same tenderness and understanding that you have for others to yourself?

See it makes me think back to “As” by Steve Wonder how he said, “I’ll be loving you always”. How he would show love and be loving even when the impossible happened. When mother nature says her work is through. When 8 times 8 times 8 is four.  It’s that same love... that same acceptance that you need to bring into your life! Now you have to remember that love isn’t just feeling good all the time or letting things go. Love is the action of facilitating one's growth and prosperity. Doesn't matter if it’s for your mother, your daddy, your brother, sister, lover, friend, or… YOU!  See when you love yourself without bounds or determining factors you stop focusing on if you can love yourself... on if you have reached that point where you can say, “Oh I finally feel like I’m worthy of love”... and instead you focus on how you can love yourself because you’re already there… you already have it and deserve it you just have to grow it. Can you dig it?

Welp, that’s it for your dose of “Vitamin D.” Be sure to follow me on all social media @dawndaispeaks and until next time, always remember, "You are your greatest asset."
