Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. You are tuned into the Vitamin D with dwn Day Podcasts and I am your host, Dawn Day, here to get too excited about your life so that you can live life on purpose and for a purpose. And this is your first time tuning again, and welcome Vitamin D. It's upon of my name. My name is Dawn, and you get Vitamin D from the sun. So I'm here to shed light into your life.

And I do this with inspirational insights and conversations with celebrities and everyday people like you and me, Because if you want to be better and you want to do better, then you're going to have to be able to see better. So join me on this journey of living our best lives and understanding and realizing how you are your greatest assad. Have you been listening on some podcasts back, I've been talking about how I really want to work on my

level of discernment. I wanted to be heightened so that when God says mover, whenever there's a situation that I gotta make a decision, I just know because I can feel it. I'm a tune to it, you know. I often think about the things that we scoring life, and sometimes we can say perhaps that we're not ready, it's not meant for us, or there's something better in mind, which I think are all true. And a sub headline under that, I feel that goes under the not ready

yet is having the capacity to deal with it? Because have you ever thought what life would be like if you got everything you desired? Have you ever thought what would happen if God blessed you with all the desires of your heart? Would you have the capacity to hold it? Have you exercised those muscles? I've asked God for a level of discernment, yet I've noticed how I'm getting in my way, and I wonder, are you doing the same thing now? When I say a level of discernment, I said,

I just want to know the truth. Thing. We know the truth by what we know the truth by the way that it feels. I found myself in kindless situations where I'm like, oh, something doesn't feel right, But then I'm doing this thing of benefit of the doubt. Wait, isn't that against what I'm asking for? Dawn? Why aren't you trusting yourself like you say you trust yourself? Isn't that what we're supposed to do. Listen to the voice within. So when the voice is speaking, Dawn, are you listening

or better yet, what are you hearing? Or better yet, are you receiving it? I have to wonder then, I say, Dawn, are you truly ready for what you're asking for? Because it's being presented to you, But yet you choose not to fallow because yet you second guess yourself. You cannot doubt yourself. So that's the beautiful thing. I think about confidence, And when we talk about faith, it's knowing who you are. It's just as confident as you know your name. I am, Dawn Day, you are who I am? I am, I am,

I am. It's just of knowing. And when we can walk into space of trusting ourselves and aligning ourselves, we don't have to worry about what other people think, and therefore we will never second guess what it is that we know that we know that we know. So I just want to encourage you to listen more. And what's your spirit is saying to you that feeling that you feel, you feel that for a reason, don't second guess it and don't doubt it. I'm saying that to me because

where I'm headed. I don't have time for distractions. Get your right in many right with me, and get excited about subject a little career advice. Dear Dawn, I'm looking for a little career advice. I'm twenty four and I've only really had dead in jobs working in Sacramento. Most of everything that is intact of the government is related to retail or restaurants. The work isn't that bad. It's the expectations for my future that really bothered me about it.

My dad runs a local hardware story and has been able to keep it in business with a loyal customer base, even in the pandemic. He's told me since before I graduated high school that if I wanted it, I could have it. Of course, I'd worked there over the summer or on the weekends. It was nice to get the money when I was a teenager. But now that I'm really coming into adulthood, I want something that's my own. I think my parents respected that to a certain point,

and that point was this year. All this to say, I don't really know what I want to do with myself, but I do know I want to get out of sack Town before I'm thirty. I feel like I might go insane if I end up being that type of person who never leaves their hometown. Well, ms mr they leading career advice. I say, get the hell out of Dodge. You know, I think often times when we try to figure out what we want in life, sometimes we go with the things that we know that we don't want.

Sometimes making the trim or getting the prone kind of defines that. And I can imagine the pressures that you feel wanting to keep the family legacy alive. But one thing I remember that my mother said on her deathbed. She said, don I've already lived my life. It's time for you to live yours. The fact that you know that you want to get out of Sacktown. Go. There's so much out there to experience. And one thing about experiences,

you can never shrink them. You can never unlearned something that you've learned, and you'll realize how big of the world out there. And at this point you say, hey, Dawn, I don't know what I want to do, but you're stepping out there to discovers a way for you to find out what it is that you want to do. Now. I don't know if you recall but I may mention to this on a previous episode about not making decisions out of fog, fear, obligation, guilt, You can't see clearly

that way. How are you deciding your decision on this? Are you doing what's best for you? Because right now are feeling guilty that you gotta fight fill up to what your parents want? Is there a fear that if if you don't, they'll think different of you? Is there obligation just because perhaps maybe you're the only child and if you don't do it, who else will? Well? How does that serve you? What do I say? If it

doesn't serve you, it doesn't deserve you. Now, I've came across a few friends and even some people in my family who have a family business and potentially thinking about inherited I get it, you want to keep the legacy alive, You want to keep that going. But what happened to living a fulfilling life? What happened to living a life in abundance? What happened to knowing what serves you and what deserves you? And I know what's going to be scary, but you know we're here for a good time and

not a long time. You gotta live your life on purpose and for a purpose. And if that's not serving your purpose, what are you doing with it? Why are you engaging with it? Why don't you living your life full out doing what's gonna make you happy? You know, there was a a tweet. I came across it on Instagram. Somebody posted it on their close friends feed normalize a job being just a job, not a passion or a lifestyle or dream career. I like my job, I enjoy my team, I have a good boss. But at the

end of the day, I'm there to make money. So you needing a little career advice. It sounds like you're looking for something more than just a job. For somebody that I say is a common maybe like an everyday person. Maybe just going nine to five and just doing a one two step that's enough for them. But you've already stated you want more. Now. I've read this tweet to a few people and some people like, I get, And then I'm gonna be honest. I I get with this

tweet is coming from. But to me, it feels like a slow death, or it feels like living and death. It's like suffocating for me because I want to live my life for a living, you feel me like I wanted to be me making money as simple as me breathing. It's an everyday flow. I think that's important, and I think it's important to realize and discover who you are. I said before, from conception, we're told who we should be, what we should do, perhaps even encourage who we should become.

Yet it's not until we truly be who we are that we are celebrated. So it's like we're going this backwards circle or keep running in a circle, rather expecting something different. Thinking if I followed the formula of what was told to me, Thinking if I followed the formula because it is my birthright, versus let me be the formula, be the recipe, get in the kitchen and start throwing some flavors together. So when you say, hey, John, what should I do? Should I leave out of sack Tel, Yes,

get the hell out of Dodge. You had the experience at the warehouse. That's not enough. That's not what you want, So go out there and take a chance on yourself. At least if you go out there, you had the experience of what it could be like, and that's success right there. I think Oftentimes we think of success as a means of a destination. That's the living, it's the growing, it's the taking a chance, It's the I n G in life. It's the growth that's the success. So be

that success for you. Be that person that said, Hey, I want to do something and then do it. Do you know how attractive that is? Do you know how much self love that is to say that you're going to do some something and do it? And oh what better love than that? Is? Of consistency? Because what do I say? How you do anything? It's how you'll do everything. Are you ready to live your life? Truly? You know? You say, hey, Dawn, I don't know exactly what it

is that I want to do. And if we keep operating in the space of darkness, that doesn't prohibit our growth. Can you imagine how many times you're walking in the circle with the lights off when you're gonna cut the lights on? Huh, everyone, I'm outiqued and we are investors in ten real sellers wine company. You sure the light sharing? Subscribed to the writing Indeed with Don Dade podcast wherever

you get your favorite podcast. Don't be that person looking up and you're forty five and you're in the same place and it's only going to be more daunting because you had a vision for more and whether growing in

that you're shrunk in it. But it's not uncommon. So I think it's interesting how we can look at different situations and we play the blame or we we lave, we scoff, we we we cackle at other individuals of what they've done, just so quick to judge, but not necessarily looking at the reflection of what happens when in that situation and then discovering that situation. See, we asked for this capacity to grow, But then we have to ask ourselves are we ready to handle it? You asked

to get out there and discover. You're wanting to get out there to see more at thirty, But do you realize that when you're asking to see more, what's out of Sacktown is going to require you to take a chance. It's going to require you to grow. You heard the proach. I asked God to grow and it started raining. Now, whether it be actual tears, there's a stretch, there's a pool, there's a metamorphosis. There are things that are uncomfortable. So when I ask you, do you have the capacity. Part

of that capacity as you standing up for yourself. Part of that capacity is you finding your voice and telling your parents and declaring what it is that you want for your life, standing bold in that. See, everything that you've done right now and how you've chosen to live your life has gotten you exactly where you are, and that's no judgment. But now you've asked for more. So now you're gonna be required to do more. Okay, You're gonna be required to take a chance, You're going to

be required to be uncomfortable. Could it be perhaps this moment of growth of you finding your voice and declaring to your parents that perhaps this isn't what you want to do, which is going to propel you to discover what it is that you do want to do. And can you imagine that joy and that piece of just being happy. I'm not talking about no job that's just anount of five that you don't care about your boss

and you dare to make money. I'm talking about living your life on purpose before with a purpose, with passion that you don't even just view it as a job, you just view it as a living. But see, in order for you to get to that space. You're gonna have to open your mouth. Isn't it interesting that we ask for things? Yet sometimes I don't know if we do the full evaluation process to wonder or figure out or discover if we have the capacity to hold it. So, um,

you that's needing a little career advice. I guess I have to ask you the question, are you ready to grow? Are you ready to be amazing? Are you ready to be great? You know I said this quote. I said this to myself always at them because I said I want to be great, And I say, hey, this is me talking to myself. I said, you want to be great? And they say, you know, if you want to be great, you have to do things that great people do, and great people do things that everyday people don't do. So Dawn,

do you want to be great? So Mr? Mrs They a little career advice letter? I have to ask you, do you want to be great? Do you want to live your life on purpose and for a purpose? Find your voice. I don't necessarily tell you what you should do. I just want to encourage you to do what you want to do. And remember, if we ever want to evaluate our true desires and our wants, in life. They're based on our choices. Hey, I don't have to argue with it. You said what you wanted. You said, I

want to get more. You said, I want to get out of Sacramento. Right, what's the choice that you're gonna make? Okay, all right, I hope that was something good for you.
