Episode description

In today’s episode, I talk to Heather Rider, a skilled energy synergist who helps people overcome the high-functioning anxiety that comes with working in a demanding tech job. Having previously worked in High Tech herself, Heather felt the need to always be “on.” Over time, she realized she needed both emotional and physical healing. Her own journey led her to becoming a Reiki Master, offering healing to women who find themselves in situations similar to where she once was.

Heather now works with clients from all over the world who want to take a non-traditional, holistic approach to healing anxiety. She is on a mission to help goal-oriented and high achieving women who are feeling a lot of dissatisfaction in their lives, primarily because of their anxiety. She works with them to create a vision of what they truly want.

Regularly, Heather writes and presents on the issues of perfectionism, high-functioning anxiety, and other anxiety-related topics.

Here’s a closer look at what we talked about:

What the big T and little t trauma is (4:34)

Common issues experienced by people with high functionality anxiety (17:00)

What causes high functionality disorder and techniques of having it under control (20:00)
