Kasra Dash: Today we’re going to be talking about no-risk lead generation. I’m joined by James, and you offer a no-risk lead generation model. For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, what exactly is it? James Dooley: No-risk lead generation is where you get leads with zero upfront risk. You don’t pay for any leads until you convert them, make profit, and then pay a small amount from the profit you generate. It’s completely zero-risk for the business owner. We moved to this model because on a pay-per-lead basis, people constantly complained about which leads they wanted to pay for and which they didn’t. There was too much micromanagement. So we tightened the model, became highly selective with who we work with, and focused on guaranteeing ROI for both sides. That’s how the no-risk lead generation model was created. Kasra Dash: Who is most likely to use no-risk lead generation? And on that note, you also turn a lot of clients away — so why is that? James Dooley: I don’t know a single business owner who would say no to a no-risk model. Why refuse something where there’s no risk? If you don’t convert the leads, you pay nothing. If you do convert, you’ve already factored in the finder’s fee, so you still keep your profit. Only a bad decision-maker would decline something so commercially safe. But for us, vetting is essential. We need to ensure the business converts well, responds quickly to leads, looks competitive online, and has positive online sentiment. If they can’t convert, we get paid nothing — even if we generate hundreds of leads. All the risk sits with us: FatRank and Promo, the companies offering the no-risk strategy. That’s why we vet people so heavily. Kasra Dash: And how quickly can someone start seeing leads? James Dooley: It depends completely on the industry, but in some cases, we can generate leads within 24 hours. It depends on the strategy — YouTube ads, Twitter ads, Google Ads, Bing Ads, SEO, existing ranked websites, LLM optimisation, press releases, organic social, or other channels. Instant leads are possible through PPC if we believe the business converts well enough and the margins are strong. SEO and organic social take longer. The first few weeks are usually about discovering which keywords convert best and which bring the highest profit. But the no-risk strategy works for any business owner looking to scale without taking financial risks.
