Episode description

In this episode, James Dooley and Kasra Dash unpack the fastest ways to generate leads in 2025 and explain why speed doesn’t always equal profitability. They explore how businesses can quickly activate PPC, Facebook ads, and lead generation companies to generate inquiries on the same day, while also highlighting the hidden risks behind “fast” channels such as click fraud, low-intent audiences, and mismatched traffic.

James Dooley and Kasra Dash dive into the crucial difference between fast leads and the right leads. They explain how industries like carpet cleaning and plumbing often generate high volumes of domestic inquiries, but only a fraction turn into profitable commercial work. Using real-world examples, they reveal how intent-driven keywords and strategic modifiers can completely change the type of customer a business attracts.

The conversation also explores why PPC can deliver instant results but requires expertise to avoid wasted spending and why Facebook ads remain one of the easiest channels for non-technical business owners—especially with the 2025 shift toward broader targeting and algorithm-driven delivery. Throughout the episode, they emphasize that long-term ROI comes from precision, not speed, and that businesses must learn to balance rapid activation with strategic targeting to capture higher-value opportunities.

James Dooley: Today, we’re talking about the fastest ways to generate leads for your business. If I gave you a business tomorrow—say a carpet cleaning business—how would you generate your first leads as quickly as possible? Kasra Dash: The fastest lead generation channels would be PPC and a lead generation company. Those are always my first two. If I add a third, it would be social media ads. SEO is amazing long-term, but it’s slow—6 to 12 months before you really feel it. So the absolute fastest? PPC. You can set up an account and start getting leads in an hour. Not the safest, because of click fraud and wasted spend, but definitely the quickest. James Dooley: What about Facebook ads? Why wouldn’t that be the go-to fast method? Kasra Dash: In some industries, Facebook ads can be just as fast. But here’s the thing: PPC is hard to execute properly. Most people don’t have the skill. With Facebook ads, the barrier to entry is lower. And as of January 2025, Facebook is removing many targeting options—the algorithm finds your ideal users based on your ad copy. You can even run lead forms without a website. James Dooley: Speed is good, but the fastest leads aren’t always the best leads. If you’re only getting domestic leads but you want commercial carpet cleaning leads, you need commercial keywords, commercial modifiers, and commercial intent. Volume goes down, but quality goes up. Kasra Dash: Exactly. It’s not just keywords—it’s intent. The safest strategy isn’t always the fastest. You don’t need leads immediately if they’re the wrong ones. You need ROI, even if it takes weeks. James Dooley: Same with plumbers. You get tons of small jobs—leaky taps, £25 fixes. But one wet-room job is worth thousands. When you refine intent, you attract premium work. Kasra Dash: Right. You’re drilling down to the work that actually makes money. James Dooley: If you think we missed something or want us to compare more strategies, drop it in the comments and we’ll make a follow-up episode.
