Episode description

Did you know a lot of famous people had or have epilepsy including Vincent van Gogh, Prince, Theodore Roosevelt, Neil Young, Alexander the Great, Charles Dickens, Judge John Roberts, and many more? Yet, they led full and successful lives as painters, musical artists, authors, judges, leaders and even a president. I mention these folks as hope on the horizon for those who have, or know of someone, who has epilepsy.  Brandy Fureman, Chief Outcomes Officer for the Epilepsy Foundation, explores that hope (new treatments)  and teaches us what to do if you experience someone having a seizure. Non-Profit Spotlight: American Epilepsy Society
