When I entered the realm of psychedelic medicines, no medicine was more popular & talked about more than that of Ayahuasca. I have been fascinated with this medicine for years in hearing so many stories & featuring so many people on the show that have had experiences with it & being as how I have yet to experience this medicine myself, you could say that my curiosity has been peaked for quite some time on it. Todays guest on the show is a man who’s life has not only benefitted greatly from experiencing this medicine, but has also opened up deeper levels of purpose in his calling to create a center that could allow more people to experience what he experienced in sitting with this medicine. Fast forward to today & he has taken action on that goal in creating “Lawayra”, which is an Ayahuasca center located in Columbia where they practice both traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies & the Columbian indigenous way of brewing this medicine, often referred to as “Yage” & in this episode, we dive into his journey, what he’s learned in running an Ayahuasca center, the differences between Ayahuasca & Yage & much, much more.
