Transcript

All right, so we have an update. We have an update on Carly Russell. She's on my shit list. That is Jerry. Mental health problems aside, like she's on everybody's shit list. Oh, a hundred percent. So she's been on everybody's shit list, but then now she has finally come out and told on this was on, was it on Thursday? And I'm sorry. No. It was yesterday? I think it was on Monday. Monday. Yeah. Which was the two days ago, which was 26th, 24th, 724, 23.

Carly Russell, the police, the Hoover police department came out and said that they spoke to her attorney and that she has said that there was no kidnapping. There was no child on the side of the road. Basically she lied and acted alone. And there was nobody else. Yeah. And just, it was only a statement that was read by the chief of police. No, it was read by her. Oh yes. Got her attorney's. Do you want me to read it to you guys? Yeah. There was no kidnapping on Thursday, July 13th, 2023.

My client did not see a baby on the side of the road. My client did not leave the Hoover area when she was identified as a missing person. My client did not have any help in this incident. This was a single act done by herself. My client was not with anyone or any hotel with, or at any hotel with anyone. I don't know if that's right. From the time she went missing.

My client apologizes for her actions to this community, the volunteers who were searching for her, to the Hoover police department and other agencies, as well as her friends and family. We ask for your prayers for Carly as she addresses her issues and attempts to move forward, understanding that she made a mistake in this matter. Okay. So first of all, Carly, you know, she's apologizing. I get that.

But like she's saying, they're saying we asked for prayers for Carly as she addresses her issues and attempts to move forward, understanding that she made a mistake in this matter. She made a mistake. This is not a mistake. No, she created the mistake. Yes. This is a big time, like bad decision. A hundred percent. Not a mistake. And like, I don't know. I get that it's an attorney that has to like do this for legal purposes, but really? Come on.

Well, and I read somewhere that because this is an ongoing investigation, everybody that donated money can't get their money back either. Oh, no, they're not getting their money back. But like, honestly, you donate that money and you didn't think you were getting your money back to begin with. And hopefully, Crimestoppers can use that money to go or whoever they've donated to. I think it was Crimestoppers. It was. They can use it for something else. And I know that they will.

And my opinion is if I had donated money, I would have just let them keep it because they're doing a good, you know, they're doing good no matter what. But I get it. Like, especially the people that donate like $25,000. I feel a little bit justified as far as our bonus episode goes, because, you know, we were torn when we were recording that to, you know, figure out how exactly we felt or what the situation was and, you know, not victim shame her or what have you. Victim blame.

Yeah, victim blame. But you're a liar, liar, pants on fire. What's the difference between victim shaming and victim blaming? I don't know. Blame the victim for whatever. Yeah. Yeah. And shaming is making them feel bad for. I feel like victim blaming would be like, you're the reason that this happened. Like when a girl gets raped, she was wearing a short skirt. So victim shaming. Right. And victim shaming. Well, that would still be blaming too. Yeah. Well. I guess. Anyway. Either way.

That's our update. Yeah. Well, there's also another update. Her ex-boyfriend is a POS because he went and got himself and he went and paid for himself to be verified on Twitter. Okay. So where did this knowledge come from? Because we need to know whether or not this is. There's screenshots. But is this legit? Screenshots can be modified. Is this legit coming from a source that's legit? Yes. But also you can look up because you have to pay for it.

If you're not, if you don't go through like the channels of being. You can look up the date and the time that somebody was verified. Yes. Well, you know what? Honestly, I think he, I don't care if he did that. I heard that she did all this because she was mad because he was cheated on her with a stripper. Yeah. There's all these messages. Oh snap. You haven't seen all that. Look, I'm trying to stay out of the. She doesn't have ticker talk. I don't have tick talk either.

I'm trying to stay out of the. Where do you see this? On Twitter? It's all on Instagram and on the news. Oh. Okay. The boyfriend story. Apparently he cheated on her with a stripper here in Birmingham. She found out she messaged the stripper and was going back and forth with the stripper. And then that is what, why she did this to get back at him. This is all allegedly, and this is like stuff that the police didn't say. Yes. Correct.

But then in, he also made a statement after she came home though about respecting her privacy. She's been through blah, blah, blah. And then he made more statements saying like that he found out that it wasn't true basically early on before that her statement came out. But the same time he paid for himself to get verified. Well, also word on the street was over this past weekend, she had a birthday party for herself at her parents house.

Oh, I heard that too on the street on the streets and that she had a party and everybody was lined up around the block trying to go. Yeah. Look, these are all rumors. I don't know if they're true, but it's a very interesting, it's a very interesting and you know what? She's probably got more for all her friends. They're not even her. You know what, Carly, I'm sorry if you're listening to this. I hate it for you. Whatever you're going through. I hope you get better.

I hope you figure this out and I hope that people stop talking about you like we are right now. But also, I'm sorry I had to laugh. All your friends now are probably not your legit friends. They're just trying to be friends with you because they want to know about what happened. Oh, 100%. So you're getting, it's like not legit. No, if you think anyone is in your corner right now outside of your family and your parents, you wrong. Yeah. Okay. Well, and that, you know, she has not come out.

She's not been on any TV shows. She hasn't been, I mean, I don't know. I haven't seen her do any social media stuff. Have y'all? She hasn't done anything, which is really good. She won't talk to the police. She won't talk to anybody, which is to me sounds, it's good. I think that's a good thing. But, and her parents did do that today show thing. So that's kind of, you know, sketch master. But I do technically believe that she didn't, that they didn't know. What'd you just say?

Sketch master flex about her parents. Yeah. Doing the today show. Yeah. Wasn't it while she was gone? No, she had gotten back already and they said she was already back and they, oh, and have you heard about the ring? Uh, camera footage of her. I haven't seen the camera. I heard that they saw it, her coming down. What w what about it? Yeah. That from her neighbors further up the street saw on their cameras.

She's just walking normally down the street and then she gets closer to her house and she starts like, Oh, I didn't hear that. Like, like going, no way. Acting disoriented and yes. And that all the other parts of the street, she was normal. She was just, she didn't plan this shit real well. You know, her Google searches need to be a little more in depth.

I mean, honestly, you don't even have to Google search to know that everyone has a ring camera these days and that literally there are traffic cameras that can watch your car and that the federal government and that any, the police officers, they can FBI your phone and all the things that you have and find whatever you do. That's why she got out of the car and threw all her location detecting devices.

She should have stepped on her phone and broken it so that they couldn't get into her text messages. I guess what I'm wondering is, you know, like she, she wasn't there when the police came. So like, how does she get away? Like to go somewhere? That's what I want to know. And I still kind of think that maybe she had some friends that picked her up or something and that they got scared. I said this the first time we talked about it. Somebody knows something.

I just don't know about that because the police were literally there within minutes. It was, it was like right after. And they don't see another car come. Yeah, but through the woods. Oh, see. Yeah. That's what I think is she went, she must have gone through the woods. I don't think they picked her up on the interstate. No, it's probably a really fast runner. I don't know. Hopefully she wasn't wearing heels or I don't know. She came from work. She had scrubs on. Oh, she wearing scrubs.

Yeah. Do we know that for sure? No. Oh, okay. We're just assuming. Yep. Listen, most people that work at spas wear scrubs unless you're part of like the administrative staff. So I think she might be part of the administrative staff. I don't know. Let's just say right now that I just want to say this, that ever since this all happened, I have been craving Cheez-Its. I have had three boxes of different types of Cheez-Its in my cart for Walmart in my cart since she went missing.

It's funny that you say that. I've been to the grocery store multiple times since that happened. And every time I walk down that aisle, I'm like, damn, Cheez-Its sound good. But that's what Carla Russell bought. So I can't buy that. You know, when we went to pick up subs the other day, and when it's I and I bought bags of chips, there was a bag of Cheez-Its that I almost bought. And you said, fuck no. Oh, those bag of Cheez-Its, the snapped ones. They're so good.

The small one because you're like, I can eat this many. It's okay. Oh, it was a small one. Yeah. Yeah. No, like I walked into Winn-Dixie the other day, like last week. I think this was like after they released a thing and they had BOGO Cheez-Its in the front and I was like, why are they doing this to me? Oh, one of them so bad. But I like the snapped ones that are like sour cream and onion and they're like, they like have air in them or something. Oh, like the puffs? Well, they have the puffs.

They have Cheez-It puffs too. They're good. But they're more like, what are they like? They're like a cracker. Like a cracker. Cracker. Cracker. A baked cracker. A baked cracker. I'm done with both of you now. Why? Well, that's the Carly Ruswell update. Yeah. Thanks. We're mad at her. Are you going to do our outro now? Yeah. Your outro? Yeah. Yeah. Tell us where to catch us. You can find Emily and Sarah at the KF Podcast on Instagram and their website. Email. Pick it up.
