When it comes to content creation . I talk about the word conviction a lot . Yesterday during a training unexpected , I was convicted about the training , but I had this moment where I wasn't expecting things to happen and it wasn't planned that I was going to say these things , but I was very convicted to say them .
In the dictionary , when you look at the word conviction , it is a firmly held belief or opinion . Someone is truly convinced of what they believe and what they're saying and I believe it's also certainty and it's knowing .
At least in that moment that is truly what you believe deep down in your soul more than anything else , and no one can tell you anything different because that is your conviction . Yesterday I was explaining it in a training and then I got very convicted talking about it .
Because here's the thing Gary V says this a lot and he says the best marketing strategy is to care .
If I sit down and get on video , it's going to be probably a really great video full of a lot of value If I sit down and I start thinking about my ideal person and I start thinking about their struggles and where they've been , where they want to go , how bad they want it , the work that they're willing to put in the consistent actions that they're willing
to put in the investment of time and money that they're willing to put in , like the willingness to go all in . I sit down and I think about this and what I see the gaps are and where I see they can really use support to get where they want to go , and then I get on video . Those are two totally different scenarios .
Now I believe you're going to take away value from both , but the one where I sat down and really really thought about who this video is for and what I want to say on this video even though I'm not scripted , it's just like what I really feel needs to be said that is going to land so much differently .
My audience is going to feel it coming out of the video . They are going to feel the energy , they are going to feel the emotion , they are going to feel the passion and , most importantly , they are going to feel the freaking conviction . You can't hide it . It's like passion . You can't hide your passion .
You could try , but eventually it's going to come out because it deserves to be shown .
A lot of times , I think that we are putting out emails and content and videos and whatever else we send to our audience , and maybe even trainings , but we're putting it out to check a box , we're putting it out to say I did that , we're putting it out to say I was consistent , and I'm not saying that that doesn't happen a lot .
However , the ones that are going to really land are the ones that we are convicted , the ones where we feel it deep in our soul , the ones where we almost feel like we're about to cry because we care that much . We care about the results of our person that much . Remember , gary V said the best marketing strategy is to care .
If I'm caring and I really want you to see these amazing results that I've seen with other people , versus I just want you to buy from me , it's going to land different and you're going to feel it differently Every single freaking time .
Me wanting the best for you and for you to go from wherever you're at right now which could be good to better or from better to best . When we can look at our ideal person and show up with that thought in our brain , with that yearning and that desire for them to have that transformation , it's going to land differently .
Our intention especially with all the noise , is so important Our intention and how we show up our intention and how we build relationships and why we build the relationships so important . I learned years ago building a relationship for a cell and building a relationship with zero expectations in return are two totally different things and they land differently .
Every single time One feels really gross and one feels really light and friendly and fun . It doesn't mean that the one with no expectation will never end up in a cell , but that wasn't the intention .
So what if we put just a little bit more thought and a little bit more effort and not even effort a little bit more thought and passion and conviction into what we post , into what we email our audience , into what we say , into what we're teaching ? I'm not saying that I feel convicted and passionate 100% of the time . That would be a lie .
We can hold that passion and that conviction , that much , but I would say a good 92% of the time I'm feeling freaking passionate and feeling amazingly convicted because it pushes me to show up . It pushes me to . I don't even know if it pushes , it's a pull , it's not even a push , it is definitely a pull , a pulling . You need to say this .
You need to stop thinking this in your head . Your audience needs to hear this . And then what does that do ? That attracts your raving fans , or your future raving fans . It brings those that are already watching you closer . It helps them see , oh my gosh , she , he , they really care About what I have to say , about what I'm going through .
What do I want to achieve ? They really feel it , they really get it . And when our audience can feel that we get it , that's a whole new ballgame .
So think about your conviction , think about your passion , and there are days in our business that we just want to throw it all away and walk away and we're like what conviction and what passion Tap back into it ? Find it . You might have to go sit with yourself for five , 10 , 15 , 20 minutes and really dig deep or journal , but find it .
I promise you finding it and sharing it is always worth it . And I don't care if you sell a life-changing program , if you sell a service , if you sell a product . You can be convicted and passionate about just about anything if you truly , truly believe in the results , in the transformation , in the magic that it can bring your ideal person .
