raving fan audience there. Make sure you check it out visibility queen.com. Some people might say I'm crazy. And that is absolutely the truth. I am. And I'm okay with people saying why would she do that? I'm okay with people questioning what I'm doing. Because in my industry in the social media world, we should always be keeping our audience guessing why would she do that? Why is she doing that? I have to I have to watch. Like, I want to see what's going to happen here. Right. And I think
that's really important. If you haven't heard or follow me on social media, I was going to start this crazy, uncomfortable 100 uncomfortable things on June 1. However, I had a coach on the 30th of may say why are you waiting on a Monday? Obviously the 38th of May was a Monday in the year 2022. However, I get what she was saying. Like we tell people why are you waiting on a Monday? Why are you waiting on the first of the month? Why are you waiting on a new year?
Why not start now. And so I chose to start on Monday, the 30th, which was uncomfortable in itself. Because it's like in my head, I had two more days to plan everything out to get structured everything, give myself all these guidelines and blah, blah, blah. And I think at the end of the day, she just wanted me to go for it. And I'm glad that I did. It was uncomfortable to announce it was uncomfortable to say what I was
doing. But that's okay. It was also uncomfortable to just put myself out there with an offer is a free offer with an upgrade to a VIP was super uncomfortable as well. But probably the most uncomfortable thing I've done so far is to drop 10,900 ish followers on an Instagram account and start a new one. Again, many people don't understand and aren't sure why I'm doing it. That's the biggest question that I'm getting. Why
am I doing it? So why not create a podcast episode is talking about why I did what I did. Number one, I have so many people that have maybe followed me since 2016 2017. And they're no longer in alignment with what I'm doing. Or I'm no longer for them. And the thing that I've gotten to understand is that ether is okay. It's okay. I'm not for everybody. And not
everybody is not for me. And having the self confidence to believe that having having the self confidence to know and understand that is such a relief. I had two mentors that I respect. say go for it, do it. I had one say, I don't understand. And can you explain why you're doing this? Right? Like, and I get that that as a coach, everything should be why let's get to the bottom of this. Why do you feel like you need to do this? And I totally respect that. I've had peers say why are
you doing this? I've had peers say you have over 10,000 followers, why would you do this? Like why? I've had my team question me, it's, you know, it's okay. It's okay. Not everybody needs to understand. And that's okay. That is the thing that I have realized. And as the thing that I've realized has brought me the most success lately is when I go outside of what everybody thinks I should do. And I do what I want to do.
Now, can I predict the future and that, you know, this is going to work out and this is going to be the way I want it to No I can't. But I'm starting fresh with people who are opting into me on social media right now. Right? Not 2,017.2 1018, not 2019 I didn't become the visibility queen. I'm doing air quotes right now until 2019. The people before that they didn't know who they are about to follow, right? Some social media person who was trying to get one
on one clients at the time. So my alignment has changed over the years. And I'm not saying I'm deleting that account that account is still there and will point to the new one because I've had that account for a really long time, it's like forwarding your mail, right, we want to make sure that we forward our mail for a decent amount of time, because we don't know what can can show up. So the same thing with the account, it will feed people into the new
account. The reason that I did this there, again, just what I told you, but there are several other reasons. Number one, I know of three people who have shut down their 20. I say the least amount the person had was 6000. I've seen 20,018 30,000. And they've shut down and restarted. I've seen people get their accounts taken away by a hacker, and restart. I've seen it all happen. None of them are like barely scraping by. They're all doing really well. Their
engagement is really good. Their their reels are doing a really good. They're growing fast on their account, their follower counts, not that that's everything. But they're growing, because they're putting out the type of content that their audience wants to see they're activating their audience or triggering their audience. They're doing things that aren't industry norms, at least what I'm seeing and what my world sees. And they're pulling people
in. And I want to be like that I want to pull people in, I want to activate my audience, I don't want to be so so. And I can honestly say if, until I delete him and archive all of the content on the old account, if you go through, and scroll way back, you're going to see the puzzle feed, you're gonna see different branding colors that I had, I think I had like a peach and a green color. At some point, you're gonna see how I've
evolved. So why would my Instagram, why would my followers not evolve, right? They should be aligned and evolved. Sometimes it's just like email, we let our inbox just get overflowed, because it's just easier to delete than it is to actually go unsubscribe, not really. But that's what we tell ourselves. The same thing is true with social media, right? Sometimes we just keep following people because we've been doing it Why stop right? Or we're afraid that
they're going to be upset. If we unfollow them, most of the time, people are not going to know, unless you have very few followers are not going to know you and follow them. Sorry,
that's just the way it is. The other thing is, you know, I want people on my feet who want to follow me, not people who are not in alignment, there are so many inactive accounts on my Instagram and I started going through and because I was over 11,000 I'm at 10,900 because I started going through and just like you can remove followers and so I was doing that it was taking a lot of time, it was exhausting. And I was like why
am I doing this? Why am I doing this right now I feel like the algorithm is is actually love smaller accounts. And there have been studies done that your engagement drops the more followers you get like the percentage so the percentage of engagement drops, right? And we know on Instagram that engagement and saves are the two big things that the algorithm loves right? We know that we know that Instagram is turning to more of our you know have a reels only feed option. I'm okay
with that. I can put out video content with the best of them. I'm not worried about that. I actually had a friend challenge me she was like I wonder what would happen if you did an all video. And I don't think my account the new account is all video. But it's a heck of a lot of video even if it looks like a photo. And I think that's one thing that I find interesting that photographers didn't think about when they heard that Instagram was going to a video only platform they freaked out.
They were like what am I going to do? Friends we know how easy it is to turn a photo into a video screen you can screen share it you can use in shot you can even use Canva these days right? It's not that hard. You can even use the hack to go act like you're gonna do a story put the gift way far down and then save it or download it. I think it's called Save and the stories option the never posted as a story and then line it up and posted as a photo or a video on your feed.
There are so many ways to get around things right? Take advantage of them. If If he ever algorithm wants more video content, feed it what it wants, it will reward you when you do what it wants. Facebook Lives and reels right now. Feed it what it wants. Tick tock wants longer form video, they're pushing it. Even though we know that like seven seconds still kill it right? But tick tock says stories, feed it stories, it's a new option on the platform, feed it what it wants.
Idea pins for Pinterest, feed it what it wants, YouTube shorts, when it comes to YouTube, feed it what it wants, feed algorithms, what they want, and they will reward you it is your best growth strategy every single time. And right now everything that I just mentioned, is video content. I've been saying this since 2019. When I decided to really become and step into fully the visibility queen I started again on video in 2016. But honestly didn't become consistent to to
that till 2018. And then 2019, I knew my purpose, and I knew I was here and I knew what I wanted to do. And so many times, we don't know what we want to do. And yesterday, before I decided to make this move to Instagram, I was so wishy washy. I was all over the place. And I said to myself, the decision gets made before you go to sleep tonight, you're either going to done you're done thinking about this, or you're making the move. In the story. I gave myself a deadline. How do we move we give
ourselves a deadline? How do we take action? We give ourselves a deadline? What is it like shit or get off the pot kind of thing. That's really what I gave myself to do. Like you're gonna make this decision today. I consulted my Instagram expert friends, my coaches, my mentors, people who have done it before. And the funny thing is, is that when I went to my Facebook personal page, and I posted, I'm starting over with my new Instagram account, I can't believe how many other people
started over recently. And I think that's just a testament to No, I am not crazy. I am not okay, yeah, I'm well, I am weird. But the idea of what I wanted to do was not so crazy. after all. It's kind of like my test of I'm no longer weirdo. My mentor also likes room temperature water. And I showed that other people you know, liked it, too. That was one of my best posts ever. So many people like room temperature water. So I have several strategies in mind. And obviously, I will share them as
I go through this journey. But my second, third uncomfortable thing in this 100 uncomfortable things. Is the Instagram account. The Instagram is fresh and new and I have less than 100 followers right now. But you know what? I started at zero. Again. I started at zero again. We say all the time, everybody starts at zero. And sometimes I think people look at me when I say that and said yeah, well, it's easy for you say that now you're at 10,000 over 10,000 followers. Okay. Now, what do
you say about that? I'm not, yes, sir. 10,000 followers on that other account. However, I'm not posting there. That's not where I'm posting. That's not where I'm aligned. I'm starting fresh. I'm starting new and it feels good. I'm so excited to see what this new account does. I'm so excited to see how I can
grow it. But more importantly, I am so excited to see the engagement that I get and the people that are aligned to follow me making moves, activating them I don't know how long it will take me to get to 1000 I don't know how long it will take me hit 3000 I don't know if this candle ever get back to 10,000 and that is okay. It's okay. The amount of Instagram followers I have do not define me the amount of tick tock subscribers I have or tick tock followers or do not define
me. The amount of YouTube subscribers I have do not define me. None of that defines who I am. doesn't define my worth none of it. And so therefore, I am confident enough to make a bold move to do this. So I want to ask you, is there some One thing that has been weighing on your heart I have been thinking in my mind, it will be so cool to start an Instagram new Instagram for the past four to six weeks.
It did not just start yesterday I explored it further yesterday and went deeper into my feelings about it yesterday. And then I gave myself basically 12 hours make the decision do it or don't do it but move on. You cannot focus on this all summer. You have stuff to do. And I did it. What are you, him hauling? About About on? What are you stalling on? What are you not making a decision on? Make the decision, do the thing. You will not regret it. But you know what you will do? You'll learn. I hope
