For four and a half years ago, I joined my first mastermind, it was the scariest decision I'd ever made. It was the best decision I ever made. I finally I filled out the application like 10 times over a six month period, I was too scared. It was a lot of money as the most money I'd ever invested in my business. And it was just not something I was comfortable
with. I had my best month ever. And said it's time. The crazy thing is is that I had a horrible month, two months in. The thing is, is that I made this year long commitment, which is also a very uncomfortable thing, right? Because a lot of us in business, it's hard to think about where on earth is my business going to be in a year? What am I going to go through
over this year? How am I going to be able to hold this financially timewise all of these things, you know what if I quit and and take a nine to five, and I had to take a true leap of faith and just believe that the best things would happen and would come out of this. That was really hard. When two months in I had a horrible month, a very low, lacking mindset set scarcity month, it
was very hard. And the thing that I learned out of that is that I joined in an a and it was an April, my best month ever was that March. May was the bad month. And June was also financially revenue wise, actually a bad month. And the funny thing is, is that June was nowhere as bad as me. Because my I shifted my mindset, it took me 30 days now that mindset, but I
shifted my mindset. And that was the start of really understanding that I am just one of those people that gets to work on herself every single day. It's not a oh, just use it when you need it kind of thing. It is it is maintenance, right? It's something I work on every single day. And even on Saturdays and Sundays, I'm journaling, I'm doing the inner work, I'm doing all of those things. And I'm not that there weren't other hard moments in in that timeframe. There most
certainly were. But I think the thing that I realized is after I got over my fear of talking in the group after I got over my fear of feeling like I legit felt like the smallest person in that mastermind. I felt like the person who didn't bring anything to the table. I felt like the person who had the, the, this the whole lack of knowledge, right? I was in that inner in that mastermind and I had full on impostor syndrome. Like I was nowhere near as good as
everybody else. And so it took me nine months to ask my first question. Nine months. I was so scared. I was so scared. I was petrified. And what I learned is actually, I think before I asked my first question, I answered questions, I helped other people out and I answered the things that I knew, which slowly started building up my confidence so that I could ask a question, right? And, um, you know, we all say that there is no such thing as a stupid
question. But when it's like the first time you've asked, in this community, this hopping community, like one of the most hopping communities I've ever seen in my life. It was like, Dang, this is like so scary, so uncomfortable. And it's so funny because now, I don't even think twice. I don't even think about what I'm asking, right? I just ask. And I serve and I support and I help and it was just
interesting. That whole journey that I went through in my first year and how long it took me to not only to not only number one, ask the question, answer questions, feel like I could support other people, but also be coachable. If I had been in the mindset for so long that I can do this, nobody needs to tell me how to do this, I can do this, I can handle this on my own, I don't need a mentor, I don't need a coach. And I had this. I've got these big shoulders for so long. I've got
this, I can handle this. And so it was also learning, you know, along with that mindset work that I started really pouring myself into after I joined the mastermind, but I also really started accepting help accepting, mentorship, mentorship, accepting, and implementing. And I think, I mean, hindsight, what I should have started earlier,
absolutely. But I had to go through this journey before I was ready to do that, when my year came up, it was a full month commitment, you could walk away or you could stay, I chose to stay. Because the year was very scary, it was very uncomfortable. And it because I had no control of my revenue, I had no control, you know, or at least that's what I told myself. In hindsight, I know that we actually have way more control than we think we do. If we allow it, and we give ourselves the
power. But at the time, you know, I was like I didn't have control over because I didn't know any of this stuff that I know now Thank goodness for growth. But when I got to stay, and B month, a month, it was most empowering thing. Like knowing that every month, I'm choosing this. I'm choosing this, every single month, I'm choosing us I want to be here, I need this community, this community is what's going to uplift me, this is a community that understands what I'm going
through. This is the community that's going to go through stuff that I've been through that I can support, this community is the bomb, right. And so, without ever being in a mastermind, I honestly don't think I would be where I am today, I didn't know what was possible. And there's one thing having a coach, right that that you see has all this success, but having people on the inside that are going through it with you that are you know, maybe not the same revenue
that you're making. But there's somewhere in the same part of the journey and, and success is based way more on revenue. By the way, you could be making way more revenue than me, working yourself to the bone and having so many clients that you literally can't even look up from your desk. Or you can have more of an ease and flow I got rid of clients, I have clients but I don't have anywhere I had 15 at one time way too many. And so I stick to around about five
clients now. And so I have a really good mixture of done for you clients, which I love because I love the strategy. I love all of that. And then the other side of my business is the whole the programs right? The pasa we call it passive it's not really passive, but the programs, the the classes, the more passive things and things like create one time or doing a group setting my inner circle and Omni VIP. And so being able to do that, you know, in my mind, not that I say that that
successful. But I say that I have way more time freedom. Even if I made less now than I did in the first couple years in my business, I have so much time freedom and I love it. It feels so freakin good. And to me that's more of my definition of success of being able to live my life the way I want. Sure, the money is amazing. Yes, we get to charge because we're not in a hobby. We're doing this because
we are running a business. But it was a really big eye opener to to see others and what they were doing with their business and how I could do things similar and also how I could do things different that I didn't want to do like that being able to see you know firsthand of people who are going through the same thing you are you can pick out really fast. Yeah, I want to do that or no no, no, no, no, that's not for me. I'm totally not I'm not there. I'm not going
there. And so that is another great thing about a mastermind is being able to see what all the possibilities are. And so I've been in this container for over four years, and the amount of growth is insane. And it's one of those things that you keep up leveling and keep up leveling, keep up leveling. Yes,
I've joined other programs. But what I want to talk about like a mastermind inner circle type of program is that Um, and I may have even said this on here before, and I don't know the exact numbers because I don't I can't find the the training that I went through. But Dan Henry did the survey and he did this survey for businesses, coaches who were under 10k. So they made under 10k a month, he did another survey for people who were, I think, 22, or 10, to legis 11,000 to 30,000 a month.
And then there everybody else was like 40,000. And over. And the majority of the over pretty much everybody over 10 grand a month, said the most important thing. And success in their business that got them where they were at was joining a mastermind was having that high level coaching in a group setting, but also having your peers that are around you. The majority of them said that was more important than one on one
coaching. Now, the people under 10,000 said that they felt they got or they were where they're at, because of coaching, one on one coaching. And I think that's interesting, because when we are in an inner circle environment, when we are in a mastermind type of environment, the coach is the mentor, the coach is the one they're leading. But the coach and I even tell my inner circle this, I am not the only opinion in this group. I may be answering, but I may not actually be your ideal person.
So somebody else may be able to answer this a little bit better if they're your ideal person, right? Like if your ideal person is have somebody has young kids right now, I don't have young kids right now. Right? So maybe what people are dealing with young kids right now, I didn't necessarily dealt dealt deal with when my kids were little right. Technology changes times change, our you know, our world
is changing. And so maybe I wouldn't answer that question, I would have answered that question from a standpoint of when my kids were little versus what's going on in the world. Now, does that make sense? So having this, this higher level person with all this strategy, and all this knowledge, and all this micro mastery that they have, they have nailed basically right and created their own systems and created their own frameworks, and all this stuff
that they can teach you. But also having a collective group that is there for you. You're all paying into the same program. And you're all there to support each other not to do it, because you hope you're gonna get business with each other, you're doing it with no expectation in return, I think that's so huge, and every single thing that we do, doing it with no expectation in return. And then sometimes business does
evolve from that. I, the mastermind I'm in that has all of my, basically my peers in it in the same industry, I've paid several of them. Because their zones of genius are different than mine. When I first started running ads, I paid my friend Kelly, who's been on the show, I paid her multiple times, even though I knew as I needed someone to mentor and look at what I've done. Can you look at this? Am I missing something?
How can I make this better? The same thing with I'm trying to think who else I've done lead magnet trainings with some people who just could map out my customer journey better than I could have to close. People who have a copy writing knowledge, you know, like anytime I'm able to invest in those people, even though again, they're technically my my peers, they still have some other zone of
genius that I do. And I think that's the other thing, we don't realize the things that we can teach people, we all think it's no big deal. We talked about this to my inner circle a couple of weeks ago, we all think everything's no big deal. But we have a gift to bring to the world. And we have a zone of genius that nobody else has around us. And even if they did have it, it's not the exact same way that we have it. So this is why I will always, always, always be in some sort of
mastermind program. I do believe in having a coach. And if you can have the both best of both worlds. One of the things we do in my inner circle is we do one on one calls. Periodically, we call them SOS calls. But I also don't want them to be just when you need something because SOS can also stand for strategy. It can it can mean I'm having this day and I really need support. I'm about ready to quit my business. I'm about to burn it all down. But it can be when things are good and we just want
to make them better. And I think that's a lot of times we think we have to join things and do things when things are are crappy and they're not good and that's absolutely not true. You should be invest Seeing when thing with both seasons, right. But you should also be investing when things are good because that's how we get better. That's how we get better. There's always something we can fix. There's always something we can do to grow, there's always something that we can do to
improve on what we're doing. And if we choose not to, we're going to become stagnant, or we're going to become stuck. And that's when we start losing. And while I want you to win, my friend, I want you to win. I want you to keep moving forward, I want to keep going to that growth. And the perfect way to do that is to never stop learning. I can't remember is it Rachel Hollis, that says, you're either growing or dying. Somebody says that quote. But it's so true. growth comes from
learning. growth comes from implementing growth comes from mentorship growth comes from being pushed by your mentor, your inner circle, whatever it is that you're a part of. You get to be pushed, you get to be put in uncomfortable situations, you get to answer uncomfortable questions. The more I have done that in my business, through group coaching, through one on one coaching through mentorship through programs, the more I've grown and so I want you to ask yourself, What's the next step
for you? What's the next step for you and your business, where's the growth going to happen? What's the next mastermind inner circle that you're going to join. And if you want to talk to me more about the visible inner circle, I would love to chat. It is a full
