real stories. He posts all the things so that you can create a raving fan audience there, make sure you check it out visibility queen.com. Let's talk about the not so glamorous part of being a business owner. So I know I show up a lot on social media in like glam and my professional photographer, or photography, freshmen all makeup done. When I do videos, sometimes sometimes I'm a hot mess. Sometimes I have makeup on sometimes I'm wearing

a lot of bling. And I think that we get in our head that being a business owner is all amazing. And if it doesn't look like the way everybody else puts it out into the world, then I'm not doing it right or something to that effect, right? Well, there's so many things about being a business owner that are not glamorous, there are so many things about being a business owner that are not fun. There are so many things that make us

want to quit. And I listened to another podcast that was talking about how we just don't talk about the bad things, right? We always want to just be all peppy, everything's amazing. Let me tell you all the good stuff, because I don't want to tell you about the bad stuff because you might change your mind. However, I have been on this journey since 2012, I have been a business owner, and in some way shape or form not always online business owner. But it is not fun a lot of the times right.

But when we have a strong why when we have a strong purpose. It keeps us moving forward. Because we know that our purpose is the most important thing, right? But what we don't talk about enough are things like people not paying people not being their word. People telling you you're amazing. And then leaving within weeks later, like and you're like what just happened? What did I just do? What what did I miss here? Like

I thought things were great. It now they're leaving, and or they're not renewing and like we always, like, make it about us, right? We make it about what's wrong with me. And that is the biggest. I'm just gonna say this, you guys know, I don't normally say these types of things. That is the biggest bullshit story that you're

telling yourself. And if you are a business owner, and you everything is amazing, and you've never experienced non pays comparison, people literally asking for a refund from you and then going and paying somebody that you know and love and then they're bragging about it, and then you're just like, what's wrong with me? Right? Or somebody who tells you they're gonna keep paying you or they're gonna pay you they're gonna pay you they know they owe you all this

money. So you feel sorry for them, you leave them in your program, and they never pay or people who ghost you. And literally, they just stopped their payment. They don't tell you why. They won't even give you constructive feedback, right? And you literally like what happened, like what happened. I have created and sent logos to people. I don't do logos for anybody anymore for

everybody anymore. I do for a few select people, but I have done logos and sent people the previews and got ghosted, never heard back like I did all this work, never heard anything, never got paid anything. I have allowed people to stay in programs that they didn't like, they weren't paying, they stopped their payments, and they couldn't afford it. And I've let them continue. And I think there is a time and place and but you understand that happens to

everybody. Right? And so anyhow, what I was saying is if you're a business owner and everything is sunshine and rainbows, and you just get all this money and no Nobody ever does this stuff to you. You are amazing. But let me tell you, if you try to coach other people, you've never experienced that shit. I'm sorry, how are you going to help them through it. And that is one of the blessings that I can say I have been through all this

shit, my friends. My human design is actually I fail so that I can teach you how to do it right. And I think that's an interesting concept, like, knowing that success actually comes from failure. And when you get back up, and you keep going and knowing that that's my human design type, and I'm actually going to fail a lot more than most people. On one hand, I've looked at that and said, Why would I tell anybody that that sounds really bad, but on the other, you don't learn until you

fail friends. So if I fail a lot, I'm learning a hell of a lot, right? I'm learning so much more than other people that everything just works out amazingly well for them every single time they do it. That is powerful. And if I have failed, and that's my human design is to fail more than most people, right and learn from failure. And that's what it really is, it's not really failure, it's learning from the failure. If that is my human design type, and I'm learning, right? All of

this stuff. It doesn't make the failures seem so heavy, it doesn't make the failures, or the mistakes, or the the things that don't go the way I want feel. So it helps me realize I learned really fast, and it's time to pick it up a notch. Take what I learned and make it better. We also put so much stock into the fact that things aren't working right. Like we my coach says this, and I think this is perfect, we make it mean something. Nobody comments on social media posts, oh my God,

my content sucks. Nobody clicks the link, at least that we can tell, oh, my God, my offer sucks. I gotta change it. We're not giving it time to like similar, we're not giving it time to test it, we're not giving it time. And most of the time, the reason we're not selling is because we just don't believe it's possible. We don't believe we can. So therefore we won't. We don't believe that people want it. We're not confident enough in what we're selling and all that good stuff.

But that is a whole nother situation. We're not gonna talk about that today. But I do want to let's let's dive in more to this unglamorous part of business owner. So we've talked about the non pays, we've talked about all that stuff. But let's talk about accounting. Like, oh my gosh, like, unless you love numbers, I love seeing the sales come in, not real, a real big fan of the whole money going out right? Or the sales not coming in that I expected to come in.

And so I want you to think about how much of that you're doing in your business. Accounting was one of the biggest headaches that I got off my to do list. And I am so blessed to have an amazing accountant, if you need a resource reach out to me. But it's been one of the biggest blessings and stressors that I took off my plate. And that felt

good, so good. But what I have found is that the things that we do day in and day out that we hate doing or were dreading to do, right, so they're not getting done are probably the things that we need to delegate. And we can't always delegate because we honestly, until we're at a revenue, you know, standpoint, it's kind of hard to delegate everything we want. And

that's understandable. But the one thing that makes me sad, and this is going to shock a lot of people that I see people delegating right away as fast as possible is their social media content. And here's why this upsets me because normally you delegate your social media content, because you don't want to do it. I'm not going to make this whole call about this because it's not really what it is. But we normally because we

don't want to do it. But also we think we can just stop being on social media and we can allow the person doing our content to do it. And that is not true, my friend. It's not true. It's not true. It's not true. Your social media person cannot build the relationship with your audience. They You can, nobody can do that as effective as you. Let me repeat that, again, no one can do that as effective as you, you may hate creating content, you may hate marketing your business, you may say you

hate all of these things. And so maybe that is the unglamorous part of being a business owner for you or the unglamorous task. However, it's also unglamorous when you hire somebody to do it for you, you haven't even been in business long enough to get any traction on social media. So you're hoping that it's going to be this magic pill, and it doesn't work. Now, if you're a brand who is spending 1000s of dollars on ads, you can do this.

Otherwise, you get to be on video, you get to be showing up as a face your business, you get to create brand identifiers that people know who you are, what you're about, versus just what you sell. We get to make our audience fall in love with us. And so many people miss out on that because they want to go hire a social media person, and walk away from doing social media at all. And think that that's going to solve all their

revenue problems. And it is not just my two cents that as a social media person, just going to say what I have seen as what I've seen as somebody who does social media. And what I have seen because what the clients from other people doing it, they immediately give up social media and pull off of social media.

And think that the social media person is going to solve the problems again, it doesn't solve the problems, because you still have to sell if the social media has to get your lead, you still gotta know how to sell, you still got to know how to close, right. So you have to know how to do all those things. So I think that also can be an unglamorous part of being a business owner. The other unglamorous part of being a business owner has to do social

media too. And that is when people are mean to you on social media. Like we do not think about the fact that people are nasty, and can be nasty. They are not nice, they are not kind. Because it's easy to be a keyboard warrior, and say nasty things, right? It's easy to say and if your face is never shown, or you have a cartoon picture as your profile picture, right? Maybe it's your real picture.

But still, what I want you to ask yourself is if you're afraid of doing video, if you're afraid of putting posts out there because of the negative people and what they want to say to you and the nasty haters, I want to ask you this. If somebody says something mean to you, does that change your bank account? You can go look like literally, if somebody says mean to you right now, go check your bank account and see if any money came out because of that comment. Go see if it put a dent in your bank

account? The answer is going to be No, it did not put it in your bank account. If there's a debt in your bank account, it came from something else are you spending, right? However, we get to keep moving forward. Because not everybody is for you. And you're not for everybody. And that's okay. The next unglamorous part I see about that business owners tend to do is that investing is huge. I'm not gonna lie, investing is

amazing. For your business, it is amazing for your mindset, it is amazing to push yourself and stretch yourself. And I think every investment should be a stretch, it should be truly uncomfortable. But if we're making multiple investments that stretch us multiple investments that literally are leaving us with nothing, and we're just thinking because we made all these investments that mat money is magically going to appear in our account, going to be

disappointed. I have seen so many business owners because as a mentor, I myself we all preach investing in yourself, right? Do you see yourself as an investment or gamble, we say these things over and over and over? Again, however you can overextend yourself, it is possible, then that means you're not your word, then that means you have to take money from something else, or you have to make a decision, you have to cancel things. You have to break contracts. I've seen it happen

too many times. We're gung ho about our business. And then we literally join 50 million programs. Number one, we don't have the time capacity, or in a learning and then we get overwhelmed because we don't have time to implement because we got to get on the next call, or do the next training. So there's no implementation of OB it's just learning that I have all this knowledge then I'm overwhelmed. And then I can't do anything with that. And then I'm overwhelmed because I can't pay

my bills. And then I'm done. And I'm stuck. Speaking of overwhelmed, let's also go there. I am in so many free programs, and maybe paid programs. But normally I see free groups, and I'm in so many things I don't know what to do, I can't make up my mind, stop trying to do everything. I've been there. I've tried to do it, I am so competitive. I don't know if you guys know this or not, but I'm so competitive. So I've been there. I'm trying to do everybody's challenges I want

to win, right? Like I want to show up, I know, I can show up more on video than anybody else, like, this is my jam. And then you burn yourself out. And then you're like, dang. What happened? I'm so focused on the challenges and winning the challenges that I forgot what I was here for. And so therefore, nothing I've done has been with a plan, purpose and passion, it's all been to win and show that I'm better. Or that I can beat other people or that I can be the winner, or whatever it is

that your objective is right? To win an iPad, okay, maybe you really need an iPad for your business. But if you spend so much time trying to win an iPad, that you ignore and neglect your business, if that challenge took two weeks, you've just went to you're two weeks behind on your business, which technically is four. Again, this is the unglamorous part of being a business owner. Or we have people who literally change their mind every few weeks of

what they do. So we really don't have an idea of what they even do, how they can even help support us. This is a messaging issue number one, but it's also we're not congruent. So congruency means that we are being the same or similar. I talk about congruency when it comes to our BIOS and our platforms, even though they all have different characters, they should be very congruent. Very similar, we should be saying the

same thing, right. However, when we aren't congruent when we're all over the place of their content, when we're all over the place, with what we're doing, what we're talking about what what our goal is, and our why and all these things is we really, we just don't have a strong enough why that's really what it boils down to. And so we're easily drawn to, ah, I think I can be a social media person, I think I can create content, I think I can coach people, like we're easily drawn

to those things. And as easily drawn to those things that we can be we can be very uninterested in them very fast to I was gonna say undrawn, but I'm pretty sure that's not a word. So I want you to think about these on Glamour, glamorous things, we've all been guilty of them. I'm not sitting here saying I haven't I felt so many of these, I've either experienced them or seeing my clients experience Him or seeing other people experience them.

And it hurts my heart that we overextend ourselves and can't pay our bills, it hurts my heart to see my clients go through people not paying them. It definitely hurts my heart when people don't pay me. But I also have to learn to bless them release. And believe in the power, that something bigger and better, or someone bigger and better is coming. Someone who really needs my support is coming. And they're going to

need my time. And they're going to be willing to pay more for me than that person that was on, you know, since the beginning of my program. If I don't believe that, there is no possibility of that happening. I have to believe that something better is coming. I get to believe that someone better is coming. I get to believe that I know what I can handle financially. I know

what I can handle timewise. And I'm not going to overextend myself that way, I'm going to push and stretch and make those payments are going to make me sweat. Don't get me wrong. Don't get me wrong. However, I'm not going to overextend myself to a place that is going to financially cripple me. And if you're like, well, Chrissy, I could lose all my clients tomorrow, then every yes, that can happen. But it's probably not gonna happen. I doubt it's gonna happen. I wouldn't worry about that.

I would worry about getting uncomfortable and pushing yourself because that is more important. So if you have ever experienced any of these unglamorous side of being a business owner, whether you've been through it or you've seen somebody goes through it If you have a client going through it, let's chat about it, reach out to me, I'm here to support you. I'm here to help you through it. It's not fun. But if we could get into the mindset that something better is coming,

someone better is coming. I know this, I believe in my abilities to help people I believe in me and what I have to offer. It's gonna be a whole game changer for your business, or what you're doing for what you want to do. And it's keeping your why at the front of the forefront of everything that you do. Your why is important, if it doesn't align with your why you should not be doing. And that's all I'm going to preach about on this episode, my friends, have an

amazing rest of your day. I hope you enjoyed this episode, feel free to share it on your favorite platform and tag me I love re sharing these and giving you a shout out as well.
