Episode description

Finding inspiration to help us from holding back can be found in lot's of places. I found it in Hawaii in a children's book in the Target aisle and at a luau with lot's of fire. Fear, imposter syndrome and so much keeps us from reaching our goals, putting out the course, sharing the idea, implementing the idea, etc. Whatever is holding you back doesn't have to, listen in to hear more.

But I wanted to make sure that I recorded one while it was gone. Because it's been like this is the longest I've been in the year 2022 without recording a podcast and I kind of felt a little bit naked. But there were a couple things that I wanted to just talk to you about today. And I think it's

really important. First of all, we we went to a target in Hawaii. And I mean, you know, come on, everybody loves target, right. And I was just I typically don't do this. But I went back to the book section because I normally read everything, either listen to it, or I read it on Kindle. So I don't ever really buy physical books, but it was just in the kids section. And this book caught my attention. And I don't remember the exact name of it. But it was something about an

idea. And basically the gist that I read the whole book I'm totally buying when I get home from Amazon, because I just didn't need the extra poundage. Trust me, I did find two pounds out this morning. But what I did was I read the whole entire book, in the target aisle, and there's like a series and I'm getting all them because I think it'd be such good content. But anyhow. And it was about this little boy and he had this idea. And he was so afraid to share

his idea. Because number one, he was worried people will make fun of him. He was worried about what people would think he was worried about the what do you lose it right? Like, oh my gosh, equipped with this idea of where I'm gonna lose it like it's gonna run away, right? I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna have it anymore. And so, he holds it really close to him. And he keeps holding it close. And he finally realizes that it's time to put the idea out into the

world. And when he does, the idea, grows wings, and flies, and it changes the world. And I was just like, this is such a metaphor for our businesses, right? We have all these ideas, and a few guys have heard this quote, but there's this quote, the richest place in the world is the graveyard because of all the ideas that were never implemented, right? And it's the same thing with our course, our

program. Whatever it is that we're trying to do, right, we have all these things that we're holding back on, we're not talking about, we were afraid, right? We're afraid like the little boy. And I want you to think about this for a second. If this was a kid, a niece and nephew, what would you say? If they wanted to put something out into the world? Would you stop them? Would you tell them all the things that you tell yourself that hold you back?

Because I think that's important to note because we would never, we would never stunt someone's growth right? We would never do that to them. We would never do a friend. We never defeat a niece or nephew, a kid. We just wouldn't do that. We want to see them thrive. And so many times, we are so cool to ourselves. We're so cool to our ideas. We're so cool with our offers. We do not allow ourselves to dream bigger to think of all the possibilities and to put it out

into the world. And I want you to know that everybody goes through this. First of all, I want to tell you this, everybody has doubt everybody has impostor syndrome. Everybody has all of these things. But the people that succeed do it anyhow. They do it afraid. They do it afraid they keep pushing through and do it afraid. I was thinking last night we were at the luau. There was this guy who was doing all this fire. Right? He was like throwing fire around. He kept

dropping it. You could tell he burned his hands a couple of times. But he kept going right? This dude is literally playing with fire. We're not playing with fire friends. We're literally just trying to help make the world a better place. We're just trying to help someone change their life make it point 5% Better right? But we hold ourselves back. Fears. I'm not asking anyone to play with fire. I'm not telling you to

touch the hot fire. Even though things can seem scary like touching hot fire, but you're not gonna get physically hurt from the things that you do. You may not succeed right away, you may learn a lot along the way. But my biggest rewards haven't came from my successes. My biggest successes have came from my failures. The learning the growth, the 90 day sprint, asked me what my biggest takeaway is. And that is truly the growth

that I've experienced. No one can take that away from me, and no one can take that away from you. So I want you to think about this. What is holding you back? Are you playing with fire? Can you see yourself in the little boy? And can you push through the fears that you're experiencing? I know you got this, reach out to me if you need support. And I am so proud of all you've done so far. But more is coming for you. But are you willing to take the leap of faith and push through the fear.
