Speaker 1

The first personal development book I ever read all the way through . Let me clarify that all the way through was the compound effect . I believe it's by Darren Hardy . I want to say it was maybe 11 years ago when I first read it and it blew my mind and it really impacted my life in ways that still to this day I feel like have supported me .

I have always said that one of my superpowers is consistent visibility and I believe that from this book it supported me to be consistent and really see that those little teeny things that we do every single day , just a little bit of visibility a day right , can really create a massive impact on your life .

The problem typically is that we it's so because we don't see instant results , right , because we don't see , it's like going to the gym . So we're going to the gym and we go on nothing changing , and because we're not seeing the results , it's really easy to not go because what's one day gonna hurt , right .

And then it's like what's two days gonna hurt and what's a week gonna hurt and what's eating a whole bag of chips gonna hurt , like . This is like our mentality with just about everything . It's just like visibility and being consistent on social media , being consistent to grow our business , and what happens is like our life is like .

Where we're at right now is , I believe , because of the choices we made and the choices of what we've chose to be consistent with as well . Good or bad , right or wrong , like it or not , whatever , however you want to say it right . So where we are in this moment is because of the consistent choices we've made .

Now , if we want to be a different place in 90 days , we've got to shift , or we get to , we don't got to do anything . We don't have to do anything . We get to shift . What we're doing every day , how we're showing up because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again , expecting different results right .

So if we realize we're not where we want to be , whether we're being consistent or not being consistent with the right things , we get to look at that and make a decision on what that looks like moving forward . Consistency is a beautiful thing . Habits are a beautiful thing .

In atomic habits they talk about that winners and losers which I don't really prefer the word losers , but regardless , that's what it says . Winners and losers , both have goals .

The difference is is that he calls consistency , or habits like systems right , like setting yourself up for success , and this is also what I see so much inside of , I think , just being a mentor and a coach .

People have goals , but are we doing the things to reach the goals and are we doing the things to check the box , or are we doing things like we mean it ? Because these are two different things , my friends . If we don't learn to enjoy the journey , we're never going to be satisfied when we actually reach the goal .

Enjoying the journey is like the best advice I can give you Enjoy the process . As I'm just turned in all of my deliverables for my coaching certification . I'm exhausted . I realize how much I haven't been on video . I'm so tired . Did I want to record a podcast ? Probably not , but I'm smiling right now .

I found the joy in it because of like , I love this , I love this . I went live before this . I came up with a special offer for a program for the first program of 2024 . I went and shared it , like there are so many amazing things and it feels good to be back in my element because I don't have the weight of the certification on my shoulders .

It was hard to be consistent during this certification . I did the best I could , and there are always going to be seasons , but how you bounce back from those seasons again is just as important as the choices you make and what you are consistent with every single day .
