How many coaches or mentors should you have? And what happens when you do have multiple of them? I've had many I've had too many before. And I've had one. So I can honestly say that, is there a capacity or a place where you have too many? Absolutely. I think it depends on first of all, what do you what are you saying is a mentor out when I am explaining a mentor, I am saying something that I have close proximity to

somebody. So I am either getting one on one mentorship, I'm in a mastermind or inner circle type program, where I'm getting their direct feedback where I can have a back and forth conversation with them. Versus a like I just joined a program, which I think is a little different, right? Obviously, we can overdo that too. But we'll talk about that in another episode. So how do you listen to all mentors? At a time? The number one answer is you don't, there's no possible

way. And here's the thing, if, let's say you have three totally different mentors, so you have a mindset mentor, you have a marketing mentor, and you have a I'm trying to think of another

one that we could do here. And a website, mentor, I'm just like, literally reaching for maybe, right, like if I'm doing if you're having somebody, if you're big taking the information and saying the website needs to have this done, if you're taking the information, and you need to mark it this way, you're able to implement that. And then your mindset coach is obviously having you work on your mind. It's like three totally

different things, right. But here's the thing, most business coaches are very multi dimensional, meaning that they have had success, which means they have, they may have an expertise, don't get me wrong, they have an expertise. But they they are so multi dimensional, because it's gotten them where they were, they're going to have experience from that level,

right. Whereas my number one thing that I talked about, and I've talked about this before is we get to be known for one thing, my one thing is visibility, which is technically marketing, and showing up for your business. Right. But there's a lot of facets of that there's a lot of things that go with that. It's not just visibility, it's, you know, can we see clearly where we're going? Can we see the clear path? Can you know, are we visible brand awareness, right?

Are we visible enough that people know who we are a branding, right? There's so many different parts of visibility that I talk about. But I'm very multi-dimensional as most business coaches are going to be. And I think when it comes to having multiple mentors, the key to having more than one is really discernment. And knowing what to do now and what to table for later, knowing what's right for you. And the right step is, and the rest, you can add it to a future to do

list. Now, here's the thing, that doesn't mean that nobody's giving you the answer you want or telling you what to do what you want. So you're just not going to do anything. And you're gonna ignore all the advice and all the action and make zero movement. That is not what I mean. I have found that the sweet spot for me is no more than three mentors at a time. I feel like it's really that's a juggle right there. But it feels I've done more than three and is

not feel aligned. When I dropped one, it felt much more aligned. But here's the thing. I could probably listen to three mentors at a time. But if they're all let's say they're all three having a challenge. Can I do all three challenges? I love to win. I love competition, right? I love it. So I could do all three challenges. Am I going to do them? Well, no, I'm gonna be able to give 100% to all three? Absolutely not. So I'd have to

choose one. If they all three challenged me to do something very high level right now I can only pick one. Right? None of them are right. And none of them are wrong. They're all just coming to me from their experience, what has been what has worked for them. And then I get to choose the one that feels most aligned with me in that moment, right and what my goals are and what I want to do discernment. Very, very, very

important. I think the other thing is is that just knowing yourself and in side of mentorship. If you don't know who you are, you got to figure it out. Because you cannot seriously also be a puppet that just follows around now there's a difference between being coachable and not being coachable. Right. Obviously you get to be coachable. And you don't get to be hard headed like I did in my first time in mentorship was like yeah, I'm gonna do it my way and see if it

works. First, and then we'll try your way. But I learned a lot, right. But also, I know, I don't take as long to listen and to implement now that I used to, because I know that every mentor I've ever worked with their number one goal is for me to be successful, because my success is their success. And the same thing is with my programs, right? My programs, success is my success, too, right? It's me helping them. But my goal is to make them successful and help them be successful in whatever it is

that they want to do. Not everybody wants to hit six figures, not everybody wants to hit seven figures, some people just want enough to pay off debt or go on vacation. And that's not their their number one motivating factor, and that's okay. Right. I think learning to move and when not to move is also huge growth is a huge aspect of growth that you learn when you have multiple mentors. And the other thing is, is that if you only have one mentor, you can still also be just as

effective. But knowing yourself is huge in the mentorship, process, and discover, and or discovering yourself right? As you build those relationships. And again, discernment helps you so much with all of that. Again, it also doesn't mean that you always make the right decision. Right, it doesn't mean you always make the right decision, you choose the right decision for you at that time. And that's really, really crucial, really

crucial. It doesn't mean that it's going to work out, it doesn't mean that you're not going to give up halfway through it, it doesn't mean that you're not going to exceed your expectations. You know, it's totally in your hands what you decide to do. But I think it's it's key to have multiple mentors over the lifetime of

your business. I said this on yesterday's episode, but really focusing on having one long term mentor who was there, throughout all of it and sees your growth and sees where you were and sees where you were going. And then the next thing is, you know, where else do you need support? Where else you feel like you need stronger support. But then also asking your mentor, hey, I'm thinking about joining this program or joining this other mastermind. Can you support me

in this? Or do you think I should go to this other person? Number one, that's growth. Number two, it gives your mentor time to say, okay, maybe that's something I should talk about. And I already know this. I know this, like the back of my hand, why have I not talked about this, right? Because mentors are not flawless. Mentors are not perfect, right. But also, it could be a weakness that they see in themselves and be like, you know, what I should like, learn that too. I should like,

get more information on that. So open up the dialogue, the conversation, because you never know what's possible. But again, you can't have more than one mentor, it's going to be difficult to listen to all at the same time. But I also know, like, I have asked multiple mentors, the same question. And it was funny because I always felt guilty about that. And I was in a training, about mentorship about how to show up in containers to help you lead containers better, which is was

phenomenal, by the way. And she said there's nothing wrong with asking the same question to multiple coaches, because or mentors because you're looking for the answer that is most aligned with you. And it is interesting to ask the same question and multiple people and see what they say. You never know where and how this is going to move you. You never know what somebody's answer is going to be. It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a village to

create a business. I know when I hit that seven figure mark, I will not be a self made millionaire. It took a lot of help a lot of community and a lot of support and a lot of cheering on for my raving fans. So if you're thinking about adding on another mentor, do it. It's okay. I have two currently right now, and I love it and they're different capacities for me and they're total opposites and I love everything about that. And you get to do the same for your business.
