It's the first Monday in September and I think this is the perfect day .
This may not be a Monday Minute episode , but it is definitely the perfect day to make an announcement , and that is I am going from five day a week podcast to three days a week , so this podcast is going to be Monday , wednesday , friday , moving forward , and there's a lot of reasons I decided to do this , and here's a few of them , and I think it's just
worth noting that , when it comes to your business , you get to make changes the way that you see fit .
First of all , the thing that first hit me was Gary Vee had a conversation on Instagram and he was applauding Disney for pulling back on Marvel and I think it was Star Wars movies , and he said it was basically over saturated , meaning that there was too much information , right .
And so I got to thinking about this and I was like , am I oversaturating my podcast audience ? I mean , it's every single day . There are ways you can hear from me every single day , even on weekends in my programs , and it just felt to me , it just felt more aligned to go to a three day a week podcast . Does that mean I'll ever come back to five day ?
I don't know . Does that mean I'll ever go down to one day ? I don't know . Right now , in this moment , three days feels really really good .
The second reason that I want to do this is gonna be really funny , but I want to be transparent with you and I think that's only fair , and that is I feel like sometimes it's easier to create a podcast episode than it is to hit the go live button .
I feel like sometimes it's easier to create a podcast episode than it is to create a reel or a TikTok or a carousel or a piece of content , and so , therefore , I think that sometimes I use my podcast as a way to hide . Now , you can take that whatever it's worth . I am very visible .
I show up very , very consistently , but if I could be putting this into content where I'm driving more traffic to my podcast , where I'm driving more traffic to the things that I do , that , my friends , is a way bigger investment of my time than doing a five day a week podcast . Now , that does not mean that you were gonna get gypped on any episodes .
There are 424 episodes , I think , before I'm recording this already , that you can binge , so if you've listened to all of them . First of all , I want you to just know I appreciate you more than you could ever know , because that's a huge deal to me .
But also it's going to be an opportunity to really dive deep into the episodes , that I want to get a little bit more strategic in the episodes .
I want to get a little bit deeper in because I won't be doing one on Tuesdays and Thursdays now , and then also , for those of you who feel like there's no way I could keep up with this podcast , maybe this is a little episode future casting that will help you realize that you can . So how is this going to work ?
So Mondays are going to continue to be Monday Minutes . Every once in a while there could be a Monday Minute that's not five minutes . It could be an episode . That's not a Monday Minute . But for the most part , mondays are going to stay Monday Minutes , which are going to be short and impactful and a great way for you to start your week .
On Wednesdays , it is always going to be me , always me , and then Fridays , if it's either going to be me or it's going to be me and a guest . So it's going to be super simple Mondays , monday Minute get started for the week Wednesdays , it's going to be me , and then Fridays , if there's a guest , it'll be me and the guest If not , it will just be me .
So it's just a way to compact a little bit a lot of the information that I give you . Sometimes I do multiple episodes on the same topic just so that we can really talk about it in a different way . I am open to any feedback that you have on me .
Going from five days a week to three days a week , I still want to remain consistent and I still want to remain my word in what I'm doing and how I'm doing this . But to me right now in this season , it feels really , really good to go down to three days Now . By the end of September I could be like I miss doing this five days a week .
I'm going back to it and I might , but for now , we're testing it . We're going to try it out , we're going to see what happens and I am excited to have you along for this journey to see what happens with me .
So I want you to think about something , as I am being vulnerable and as I am being real with you Is there something that you're doing that is causing you not to do something that you could be doing more of , whether that is podcasting , whether that is . I'm doing a lot of typed out content and not a lot of video content .
I'm doing a lot of this and I could do a lot of that , like , just think about it and be honest with yourself . And I think it's great when we can step back and just visually look and say , okay , I'm pretending like I'm analyzing somebody else's business and I'm looking at what I'm doing . Can I fix this ? Is this something I can fix ?
Take the emotion out of it and where are the holes ? What's not happening ? Because you're choosing to do the podcast and again I'm not saying this to me be forever . It may just be for a month , I don't know .
We're going to see how it happens , but I have a feeling that there's going to be a lot of things I'm going to want to say and you may hear me from me like bonus episodes during the week while I'm doing the three days . But we'll see what happens .
