I have tried tried is the operative word what is try stand for anticipating failure is that what people say? To create businesses? All my life, right. And I have done the network marketing thing. I have done
multiple things. But I think when your passion hits, what you can do, right, what kind of online business or whatever it is that you do, like things just really start coming together. And I think it's interesting that it didn't really happen for me until I was the year I turned 40 and on is when I really started this business. And it's been a blessing. Yes. Do I wish I would have done this earlier yesterday, we should have figured out a way to get out of a nine to five earlier. Yeah, I
do. I feel like it's so much easier to own an online business these days than it used to be. I remember when I worked my nine to five, I was recruiter and I would come home and take calls right I would come home and talk to people online, I would check my email at home. And whenever I would get sick or my kids would get sick, I would stay home with them. But it was never something that they allowed you to like, Look, can I just work from home? No, that's just not an option.
And I think it's just part of the micromanaging. Like we want to see you in here kind of mentality that we all know that when 2020 showed up, pretty much everybody was allowed to work from home, right? Like it's not an it's not a thing these days. That's taboo, like it used to be. So many people work from home, and it's not a big deal anymore. And it should have been that way in the beginning. But I
digress. So I want you to think about this, like if you are, first of all, no matter what your age is, it doesn't matter. Okay? Age is truly just a number. You are never too young. And you are never too old. There are people that are starting businesses in their 50s and 60s. So if you're 30 or 40, or 45, or pushing 50, whatever it is, if you have the will, and you have
the desire, you can do this. You know, I joke that when my dog went to training a couple years ago, she was six years old at the time, you know, which is not a young pup anymore. And I joke that, you know, you can teach an old dog new tricks like you can like they can, they can learn, they can learn training, they can learn discipline, and all these things that they teach him
at these training events. And it was interesting, because we, as I'm going to do air quotes, old dogs or whatever you wanna call yourself, can learn new things, too. No matter what has happened in our businesses, no matter how many times we tried to have a business and failed. He does not define what happens going forward. So if you're stuck on yourself saying I can't do this, I'm a certain age, I can't do
this. Because I'm too old to figure out social media or I'm too old to figure out marketing or I'm too old or bla bla bla, no, you are not. As long as you continue to tell yourself that that is your story. But you are the person who can change it. You are the person who could find resources and support to change that. Let me say this, I am pushing 46 years old, this fall, and I feel younger, I feel more enlightened, I feel more clarity, and more stamina for my business and I think I've ever
felt in my life. I understand things better now. I you know like they say when you when the older you get the more wisdom you have and it's so true right? No matter how many times she failed no matter how many times you've wanted to give up nor how many times you've changed directions. The point is you have experience in every single one of those things have given you more experience. It does not matter how old you are Do not give up on yourself. Because I'm
not giving up on you. Don't give up on yourself because of an age, don't give up on yourself because of a silly number. Keep pushing through, because your age does not matter. Your willingness, your why and your passion about how you can change people's lives. That's what matters. That's the only thing that matters. And as long as you keep putting that forward, that is going to lead you to the success that you've been looking
