real stories. He posts all the things so that you can create a raving fan audience there, make sure you check it out visibility queen.com Welcome back to the visibility Queen Show. Today we have an amazing guest. Her name is Erica Davenport. And she is going to tell us all things about being a purpose Coach, how she supports women. And we're going to talk a lot more about what she can do for you and your business. So Erica, thank you so

much for joining us today. I would love for you to give a little intro and tell my audience more about you. Thank you so much for having me. It's such an honor to be here. So yes, like you said, I'm Erica Davenport. I'm a wife who just celebrated 10 years of marriage, I'm a mother, I have two boys, and I am the owner and founder of she person's purpose. And as a purpose coach, I show women how to really identify and monetize their God given gifts,

right? Because I believe that we fulfill our purpose by serving our gifts and helping other people. So that's how I help women in my community, but the truth is like that wasn't always who I was, right? Like I was a woman who had lost her identity in the roles that I play. So as a wife, as a mom, as an employee, I was so busy just fulfilling those roles that I didn't even realize, like who I was anymore, like, what did I like to do? And, and you know what made me happy as an

individual. And so I kind of just went on this journey of really discovering myself again, rediscovering who I was asking God, like, What is my purpose? Like, what else can I do, despite having a master's degree and having a good job, I knew that there was more to me. And I knew that something was missing. And I didn't know what that was. And so I went on this personal spiritual journey. And that's where I realized that I had really been pursuing my purpose myself. And that's how I birth

she pursues purpose. That's how I became a purpose coach. I am a huge woman of faith. And I just believe that allowed me to go through my journey so that I could equip and empower other women to do the same. So in a nutshell, that's who I am. That's so interesting, because as a mom, it is true. We do really lose ourselves, we we forget, like, what we even like, like really like, what do we like to do? Or what do we like

what brings us joy? And, and it's, it's so cliche, and I think he said this on a video yesterday, like, it's always about, like putting our oxygen mask on first, right? It's always about like finding out who we are, so that we can be a better mom, a better wife, a better partner, a better business owner. So like that, like speaks volumes, I think, to so many women listening to this episode today. So what is like, when people come to work with

you? So as a purpose coach, they come to you looking one way and they and they leave? Or their transformation, I guess what does that look like? Right? Well, what are they, when they have no purpose? And then they realize what their purpose is? What does that transformation look like? Coming in and then leaving? Yeah, often women come to me how I was right. And I always tell my clients, we are often our own

target audience, right? So they come to me confused, they come to me unfulfilled, they come to me, frustrated, and sometimes secretly envious of what the next woman is doing. Because they like, I know I can do more, but I don't know what to do. And so that's how they typically come to me. They're really frustrated. Many of the women, they're at a job and they're serving, but they're not. They know that there's more same

thing with me. Like, I knew there was more to me than sitting at this desk and had a good paying job, right. So one of the things we don't have right into business, we don't have right into getting clients and figuring out a business plan. But we have like right into self, right. And being a woman of faith. It's like I tell women, first of all, in order to know what you're made of you have to know your maker. And so my whole program is based off of the faith we share common faith

oftentimes and even women. I've had clients who don't fully believe that I do right but the principle is is the same. And so, you know, we've worked on identity fires like identity is one of the biggest issues that the women come to me with. They don't know who they are they've forgotten right? And so we go back like, I think it's my first or second module where we go back to like their childhood, right? Like, who were you before all the titles? All the hands on? What did you want to be when

you grew up? What did people come to you for? You know, what type of friend what what did you get in trouble for school for some people are called to speak, and they talk too much in class, right? So kind of just revisit ourselves, we start with who we were as children, and then we go through this process of who we are, and then ultimately, who we

aspire to be right. And so we talked about some of the things that get in the way impostor syndrome and limiting beliefs and just all the things right. And so, once we're through the mindset, I'll often take women on a journey of really, now they're kind of open to figure out what their gifts are. Because again, to really fulfill your purpose, you have to know what your gifts are, that's how you fulfill it, right? And so that's where we start exploring.

And then like, wow, as a child, I have I had a client who she was like, into rocks and stones in the garden and stuff with her grandfather as a little kid. But now she's into like yoga and healing and it just all in the line, right. But she didn't make that connection. So oftentimes, it's not that is missing is just I help women to uncover and reveal what's always been inside of them, like the gifts, the purpose. It's always been inside of you. So they start off

confused. And then it's kind of like, wow, I've been doing this all alone, right, wow. Net. And then that's where we get into business. And I show you how to structure it and packaging in a way that can you know, serve others bring you a profit and help you to build a business, but most of it is head and heart work. Right? The business is the last part of it. Yeah, absolutely. Do you have a lot of women who like their goal is to leave their nine to five and do this? Do the entrepreneur

thing full time? Or do they want both? It's 5050. Right. What I tell people and what I have found with my particular clients is that oftentimes your calling can be an extension of your career, right? You don't have to quit your job to pursue your purpose. I've had so many clients who because of their job has been able to fill a gap through their gifts, right, I had a physical therapist who realized there's a gap for the support that moms have of children with special

needs. So she created a business that helps women who have these children with special needs and how to show them how to navigate in the school system, and how to advocate and she provides extra resources. So oftentimes, it could just be an extension of what you're already doing. And then there's women like me who's like, I don't want to do this corporate thing, like, yeah, quit. So it's often 5050. So when they come to you, they may not even know what their calling

is. And then you guys discover it together. Absolutely beautiful. That's beautiful. So you mentioned module. So I'm assuming you have like a group type course program. And then you also do you do one on one as well. So this last round was one on one, but I'm moving back to my group method. I believe our in both but I really liked the power of community and sisterhood and support. And so

we have lessons right? We have lessons in the in the coaching program, and then we meet weekly to talk about the different lessons and the different challenges and whatever, you know, in that module for the week, so yeah, yeah.

So one thing that you touched upon, and I don't know if you said it in this exact words, but and I know this happens a lot, especially with my audience, comparison, like looking at what other people are doing, like what's your best piece of advice for people who are struggling to keep their blinders on and focus on their journey because they're too worried about like what other people are doing?

Yes, yes, it's so crazy. I was just talking to my best friend about this but I heard a saying a while ago I can't take credit for it but I heard Pastor Darius Daniels he said it before he said comparison is a calling killer right? And what a calling killer and kill it. Yeah, that's deep. And and, you know, as women I think somehow it comes natural a little bit you know, whether we're comparing you know, what hurts bigger looks like compared to ours and things like that.

But when it comes to business, I have to tell women, you know that I always give the example of bread right when we go in the grocery store. There are I don't know how many different brands I have bread, right? But everybody has their own brand. And what I have a taste for may not be what someone else has a taste for. So don't not get on the shelf. Don't not get visible, right?

Don't Yeah, because there's other bread on the shelf, because somebody is going to have a specific tastes and interest in the way you talk and your story how you deliver. So that doesn't mean don't show up. You know, that means another thing. Credit to you, when I read the book, to printer, right, your perspective on being a contributor versus an expert, right? We are all given specific gifts and unique abilities. Our story cannot nobody can copy our story, right? Nobody can copy

our experience. And so when you look at it from from a standpoint that I am contributing to this cause, right, I am helping so therefore I don't have to compare myself to the next woman or to the next sister because we both have a heart for the same cause. And we both have something to bring to the table. So that's how I help women who struggle with that into into allow yourself to give yourself some grace, it's

normal. But you can't let that from stopping you, you can't not become visible because so many other people are doing it. Right. And I love that. And I want to add something because as long as you're on the bridge shelf, you are being visible, and you have a chance just like everybody else does. And so I love that I love that you're giving yourself a shot and putting yourself out there. And that's so uncomfortable for so many people. So, so good. So

good. All the things. Okay, so let's talk a little bit about you have a freebie for my audience. Let's talk about this prayer line and an upcoming something you want to share. Yes, so I have a purpose prayer line for women printers. And so every week we meet on my YouTube channel, Erica Davenport. And I am pouring into these women as it relates to purpose. So every call, where every line on the on the YouTube, we're talking about purpose, and I am equipping them and empowering them through the

wire. So I literally pull something out of my personal study from the Bible, and I'm connecting that to their purpose, and I am empowering them and giving them different perspectives. And then they have a challenge each week in this community, we have a monthly Sister Circle meeting where we're just talking about, maybe some of the things are the prayer line, and maybe not right, but just a way to connect and support each other. I believe that behind every purpose driven woman is a

purpose driven tribe. And so through this purpose prayer line, you can find your tribe, right, it takes faith, like it doesn't matter who or what it takes faith to step out and entrepreneurship, it takes faith to make yourself visible and to come out of your comfort zone. And so this is a place where women are constantly being inspired and empowered to pursue their purpose. I love that. I love that. And so I'm assuming this is for people,

anywhere. They don't have to live in Ohio, they can be anywhere, right? YouTube is universal, right? You could just go to www dot purpose prayer line, and join the community. You'll also be a part of my email list for your have, like you said, I have a upcoming masterclass coming up. And that's going to be really, really good. And so this is where you can just get all of the different things that we have going on in the community and how we can stay connected. I love it. I love it. So I have

another question for you. And I didn't didn't prepare you for this one. But it's super easy. I think it's super easy. What is your favorite platform? Instagram, okay, why? Why? I don't know. I mean, know, a little bit by Instagram though, because I feel like you know, right now they're just only pushing these reels, but I think I'm just most comfortable on Instagram. It just works for me for whatever reason, but yeah, I like, I think I like Instagram the most, for whatever reason,

visually. That's why I like it. I think the visuals just grabbed my attention. So it's just very pretty. Yeah, pretty platform. Right? Whereas Facebook, you have a lot of white. And you know, it's like it's just not as colorful. I guess it's white and blue. I think that's like the main theme of Facebook. So I love seeing all the colors and the attention grabbers on Instagram. It's just fun. So, so very cool. Okay, next question.

What has visibility I know we've been talking about and sprinkling that a lot through this podcast episode was visibility done for your business. For my think visibility for my business has definitely helped my business to expand and grow right. It's helped needs to be able to reach people and make connections. But even more than that, visibility, it has helped me to grow internally, right?

Because I'm an introvert. And I don't necessarily like being on camera, and I don't like going live and all the things, but I understand. And that's why it's so cool when you attach purpose to it, because it helped me to look past my discomfort, right? It helped me to look past myself. And it's like, Erica, if you can inspire or make somebody laugh, or encourage somebody through getting visible, is it

worth it? And it's like, Absolutely, like, I'm willing to have temporary discomfort, if that means bringing hope and inspiration or whatever it is to somebody else. So not only has a course helped me to grow my business and grow my email list and find clients, but it's also helped me internally like to overcome, you know, there's the discomfort of being on video and go on live and things like that.

I love that you said the purpose, like because I feel like when we have a purpose, we become really passionate about it. And then it also kind of builds confidence and we want to talk about it. Right. So I bet you see that through so many other transformations with your clients that you work with. Yes, yes, it makes you. You know, I've said being an introvert and being shy. But knowing my purpose has helped me to be comfortable with being

uncomfortable. Like I understand that won't that doesn't take away the jitters that doesn't take away that anything. Yeah, I know what that feels like. And I'm still going to do what I'm supposed to do. Am I help somebody? And then I can go back to my little cozy corner by myself, you know? Exactly, exactly. I'm like, when I go speak somewhere. I'm like, Okay, I need quiet time. I love the people, but then I need I need to revert back to myself and recharge, so totally feel

that totally fill that. Okay, well, before we wrap up and go Well, first of all, where can my audience connect with you on social media or online? Yes, she pursues purpose on Instagram, Facebook, Erica zavon For on my YouTube channel. And like I said, the purpose prayer line.com. To join the community. I do have a planet and purpose podcast right now is just the replays from the prayer line, right, but will eventually evolve into me doing these interviews to have another

topic. So you can also subscribe to the planet and purpose podcast as well. I love it. And then anything else that you want to leave my audience with, before we go. Um, I will just say that. For many of you, I know that many of you are, you know, current or aspiring entrepreneurs, right. And I will just continue to encourage women and encourage entrepreneurs that, you know, you have been called to do something great in the world.

And oftentimes, we think that we have to, you know, reach a certain platform number or take a certain course. And I just want to encourage you guys just to keep doing what you're doing with what you have right now, right. And when you need more, more will come to you. But I just want to applaud and celebrate each and every one of you who have stepped out, you know, who have taken a chance on partners who have gotten uncomfortable with the visibility. So many of us don't

like doing this. But we do it for the greater good and the world needs that we all need each other's gifts. We all need what somebody else has to offer, and the whole world benefits. So I just want to applaud and celebrate you women and encourage you to keep going and keep pursuing. I love that. I love that. And remember everyone listening and just to like what Eric has said, You deserve to be heard. You

deserve to be seen. And if we don't show up and share that with our audience, we're actually doing them a disservice. And as women as women, we it's so much easier for us, I think to pour into other people. Not that we don't need to pour into ourselves, but show up. Share your gifts, share your passion and your purpose with your audience because I know it will not only bless your life but it's going to bless somebody else's life too. So thank you so much, Erica for

coming on today.
