In business, we have a lot of situations where we allow things to trigger us. We allow things to bother us, we allow things to hinder what we're doing or stop us from what we're doing. Meaning someone has a great time and their business, they're doing amazingly well. They do something similar that we do. So we start to figure out, why am I doing this? Why should I even bother? Why should I keep going.
And I've said this before, especially on the podcasts, and probably on lives, too, that business would be easy if it wasn't for the BS stories, we tell ourselves. Like we tell ourselves so many Bs stories, and we choose not to work through those, we push them down and push them down and push them down, hoping that eventually they'll go away. Instead of processing them, feeling the fields, telling ourselves a new
story and doing the work. Like literally, a lot of times it's pulling out a journal and doing the work. Because we're too busy. And we don't have time to sit down and do it. And I am going to totally call myself out here because I have been this person, I have been the person who pushes it down, says forget
about it, move on. Well, what happens when we don't deal with our emotions, what happens when we don't deal with what's being said, it compounds, right, so then when it comes back, it comes back with a vengeance, it comes back even stronger, it comes back and can because we've not dealt with it and we've not worked through it, we've not felt felt the feelings. And we've not processed the feelings, because we just tried to throw it to the side and move
on. What happens, we have like a major breakdown, we have a major like fall, right. And then it feels like it takes even longer to get through it and process it. Or that's when we're about to quit our business or that's when we're done. Or that's when we're not doing anything else. Because we're not seeing the results that we want. I can give you all the strategies in the world. I can literally hand them
to you on a silver platter. But even with those if we don't do the work on ourselves, and become a better version of ourselves every single day, even if it's a small percent, which is all you need. We are going to struggle with the big things. We're going to struggle with the blocks we're going to struggle with more triggers, we're going to struggle with comparison, we're going to struggle with jealousy, we're going to
struggle with envy. We're going to struggle with so many things in our business and life when I started seeing triggers, because I when I would get triggered by something I really Oh blinders on blinders on blinders on, keep my blinders on to pay attention to look around, pretend like nothing, none of that's going on, let's just not even allow that to seep into my brain. Did it already saved my brain? let's not, let's not even kid myself,
right? But I used to put the blinders up, block everybody that was bothering me stop from seeing all of their content. Anybody that triggered me, that was my that was what I did. And then I realized that those triggers were an opportunity for growth that those triggers were an opportunity for me to work on myself that those triggers. Were telling me I had work to do. Now, if you're listening, you think Oh, I do this. I listen to PD every day like personal development. I'm good. No,
you're not. Just like I said, a couple of days ago in my content, I said I would never be the best at content because I would never stop working on it. There's always room for improvement. The same thing is with your emotions, your emotional intelligence, the inner work, whatever you want to call it. There's always work to be done. There's always a new layer, our money mindset, there's always work to be done. There's always a new layer, there's always a new block.
There's always a new energetic maximum that we can be pushing towards. So the question is, are you taking the time to do the work because when you have the big goals, you can have all the strategy, the best content in the world and everything else but this up here will block you from everything that you truly want. When we can focus on the abundance, we can focus on all the amazing things. When we can
live in joy. I've tried to think of the quote I heard, if we worked on compounding, joy and compounding abundance, more than compounding all the everybody's, you know, everybody's doing what I'm doing and the there's not enough room for all of us. And she's taking all of the people that I want and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, that's when that's when we start experiencing the downfalls.
That's when we start experiencing the breakdowns, that's when we start experiencing the face plants, the failures, everything else because we cannot climb up, we cannot get out of that hole that we put ourselves in. I like to equate it to drowning. Because it's like you're you you're you're treading water. When you know you should be working on something and then boom, you're down, right? And then it's really hard to get back up. And you're swimming, swimming, swimming, swimming. We all have
work to do. I have work to do. My mentors have work to do. People making $1,000 a month have work to do people making $10,000 a month have work to do people making $50,000 worth of work to do people making $100,000 a month have work to do. There's just as probably less than the person at 1000. Y'all have work to do. The question is, are we investing in that type of support, like we are, with everything else that
we do. One of the greatest things that I am glad that I have done is work on myself so that I can help others. When you're just teaching marketing, or you're just teaching social media, that's not something that you focus on. But when you start focusing on the entire business owner, when you start focusing on the entire growth strategy, when you start focusing on the human being the parent, the sister, the friend, the daughter, we start focusing on the whole business owner, you
get that whole package. Because it's not all black and white, there's a lot of gray areas, there's a lot of, you know, people in containers that are suffering and doing really, really bad and not and not their best self. And then you have people who are celebrating their best month ever. And you have to like keep the duality of both of those. By allowing everybody to be seen and heard, in whatever situation they're dealing with. It takes a lot of work takes a
lot of growth. And I want you to make sure that you are doing this and adding this in to your personal development. It's more than personal development, it's inner work, it's, it's all of that emotional intelligence. But if we don't work on it, that's what's going to block us and stop us from reaching the big goals that we want to reach in our business. Work on that work on you know that at the end of the day, it's all all it's gonna do is make you a better person
every single day. But you get to start working on those triggers by working on the things that bug you by working on the things that drive you crazy by working on the BS stories that you tell yourself. In my world, we talk about having a BS journal. And so basically what you do is every BS story you tell yourself, you write down the
truth in this journal. So you have this whole journal full of winds and truths and reality that you know the good things so any day you're feeling down and bad and wanting to quit, you go open up this journal and you have it all their business would be easy if it wasn't for the BS stories we tell ourselves but we get to work on the BS stories that we tell ourselves because if we don't work on them, we're just going to keep saying them over and over. And then we're
gonna start believing them. What you say to yourself you started to believe and I don't want that for you, my friend. So let's work on the emotional intelligence. Let's work on the BS stories. Let's work on the inner inner self. Let's do the work. So that when we are going towards our goals are much more likely to reach them.
