Most people don't know this about creating programs offers evergreen programs, whatever you want to call it when it comes to selling that. And I gotta be honest, I wish I knew this before the first program I created in 2018. I was struggling to build an audience of raving fans, I don't even know if I knew what raving fans were back then. I was struggling to be positioned and known as
the expert in what I did. And I was struggling to fight through the noise that we see so much of on social media, this was back in 2018. So I had a lot less noise then. But I was still struggling with it. And this is why when I created my first program, I had no idea what visibility even was, I obviously you've heard the stories I struggled really hard to get on video. And I was the furthest thing from calling myself the
visibility queen. But the thing I didn't notice when I first got on video, is that I just needed to get on video, right, I just needed to do it, it was definitely just getting over my fear and just saying something, word vomiting, something, there was no real plan or purpose words, but I just needed to do it. And I needed to get over my fear. But what I didn't realize is as important as it is to get on video, it's also important to
be seen and heard. And that message that I was sharing with them was just as important as me getting visible, because they could see my face and my expressions, and then my mannerisms and my body language all day long on a video, but if I'm not saying what they want to hear if I'm not saying something that's going to interest them, if I'm not bringing them to ask themselves, do I need to change
this? Do I need to mitt to move do I need, you know, if I'm not having my audience question themselves, they're gonna scroll on by that content, right? It's not blowing their mind. Basically, it's not giving them anything to think about after they scroll on by. And I think one of the most important things that I discovered was really having thought provoking content, having content that made people question is this What am I doing? Am I doing the right thing? Should I be doing
this differently? Right? Or, can I take action from this? Because I didn't even know this was possible. And can I take the action steps and so I wanted my content to really start creating movement. But back then, that wasn't a priority. To me. That wasn't something I even thought about. Like I said, I literally went an on video to check a box to say, oh my god, I made it
through another video. Because it was so scary and so hard for me to do it paralyze me every time I had to push the go live button, and it was go live back then. But when I really started showing up and getting on video, besides saying Hi, my name is Chrissy, I learned that the message that I was sharing was
even more important. I learned that a lot of people call it edutainment now, but whatever you want to call it like having that value message having that mini masterclass style message coming from my heart coming from my experience coming from, you know, something I had overcome sharing a parable with it sharing a story with it, all of those things, helps solidify you not only as the expert, but also as a human being that is relatable to the people that are listening or watching that
video. So when I created that first product, I thought it was going to sell like hotcakes because it was an amazing product. And I truly thought people would just buy it because it was amazing. And here's the thing that upsets me about so many entrepreneurs, CEOs, your products are amazing. They're in my mind, there is no doubt that it's amazing. The problem is is that not enough people know who
you are what you do. Even if you have been online for years, even if you've been consistent like me, there are still people who do not know what you do. And so we get to repeat ourselves over and over. We get to position ourselves over and over. We get to talk about that offer over and over. And we get to do it now not a week before we're gonna launch said thing. And so that's what I see. So many people struggle with so many people not doing is prepping.
You know, I've been talking about PrEP week a lot, but they're not prepping for what's to come. They're not prepping for the future things they want to sell. They're not prepping for the future offers and the future programs that they're going to want to create. They're literally taking it day by day and thinking, Well, I'm going to sell something in two weeks.
I'll get visible next week. No, I'll start positioning myself Next week no. And I think that is a problem that we get to identify as much fun as it is to create and to sell. To some of these people, we are the best kept secret, because they don't know about us yet. And so it's our job to be consistent. It's our job to keep putting
ourselves out there. It's our job to keep talking about the things over and over and over till we're blue in the face, and we're so tired of hearing ourselves talk and maybe then they're starting to get it, maybe then they're starting to pick up on what we're putting down, maybe then they're starting to understand how we can help them transform their lives, their business, or whatever it is that we are experts at doing. So let me ask
you this. Are you being consistent enough that if somebody came to your feed right now they were profile, and they wanted to look at the last, I don't know, seven pieces of content, would every piece of that content, be sending them in the right direction and be sending them the right message to help understand you know, what you're doing? Would those pieces of content make them want
to move? Would those pieces of content make them want to desire not even make have them desire to want to know more about working with you. This is why content is so crucial in a noisy world. Because a lot of us are posting to post and to check a box kind of like I checked my box just to get on video. And not thinking about the messaging behind it, the effect behind it, the motivation behind it, the feelings that we're giving our
audience behind it. Those seven pieces of content are so much more than seven pieces of content. They are building bricks for the business that you are trying to create. So as you're creating those offers, as you're creating those programs. are you positioning yourself as well? Are you proving to your audience that you're the expert your results are your qualifications? What results have you gotten yourself? What results? Are you getting other
people? What results? Can you help them get in whatever it is that you are trying to sell or offer or propose in the coming future? It's a great question to ask yourself and I hope this piece of content. This podcast is helping you make a move. Change something up do something different and understand that it's going to impact your business in the best way possible.
