Back in 2019. I started working my business first thing in the morning. And I've always been an early bird. And I've always gotten up at like, four or 430.
However, I found myself a lot of the times working on my clients businesses and getting their stuff done. And a friend of mine, we were on the phone with her a lot of you guys know her fate sage, she was on the phone with Nellie and I and she mentioned how she always puts her business first like her business comes first every single day. And in that moment, I adopted me working my business first thing in the morning like nothing was coming before my
business. And so about that time I was probably going through a probably I would say, actually getting to work on my business starting is sitting down around 5am to about 7am When it was time to get kids out the door into school. Well, it's pretty much been that way. Since 2019, earlier this year I was sprinting, for I was on a 90 day sprint. And I decided on the 90 days to make that go from like 5am to 11am. Now, let me just be clear, that wasn't what is the math? Six hours? Is that right?
Yes. So it wasn't six hours of constantly working on my business. In between that time a couple other things happened getting my kids to school was one of them getting her up and getting her to school, I'm going to the gym was part of it. So there was probably like, I'm gonna say an hour half two hour block where I wasn't working on my business, I was working on myself, right. And I wanted to make that clear, too, that that time in the morning was not just for my business, but also for my
self care. And, honestly, it's one of the best things that I have done for my business. And my most recent coach, she has what she calls CEO days. And I was like, I love that because although I'm working that time in the morning on my business, if something comes up, right, it
just doesn't get done. And so I'm like, How can I be more efficient, like, I would much rather stack my calls and stack my podcast interviews and stack everything like on other days and have two days where I don't have calls, calls I feel like which are amazing and very pivotal sometimes for your business, but they get you off course right of what's going on
that day. And if I have a whole day to work on my business, or let's say for instance, I get done at one or two o'clock and I want to take the rest of the day off and do self care, or hang out by the pool during summer. I am able to do that. But what I want you to know is the most pivotal thing is that I set a side time dedicated to just my business. Now, I have always been an early bird it has been easy for me I'm also an
introvert. So for me getting up in the morning before the rest of the world is my alone time, especially when we were in the pandemic and quarantined I couldn't get away from anybody
else. And as an introvert, we really need that to recharge right so I was probably even up before 4am during that time because I just needed to be away from people I needed my alone time I thrive on my alone time I recharge during my allotted time so it's very very important for me to I almost always get it it's very rare when I don't get my alone time it's it's a non negotiable for me because I know I need that. I need that to be better version of myself. I need
it to be a better mom. These days are better for mom. Although I'm not getting a whole lot of alone time in the morning because we now have a puppy and Tennessee is older and she used to go to the side and just go to nap but we have a lot of playing in the morning now before naptime happens, but that's okay. It's just it's just the season. But it's just that that time is just so vital, right?
The same thing with working out non negotiable I'm even though I have been slacking since we've been back from Hawaii, I have not been my normal four days a week. But I'm working to get back there, right. And so again, things have been in seasons, so we don't do the things that we exactly want to do. But I know I'm gonna get back to it. Because it's just like when I get off video, right? When I'm not doing video consistently, it's hard to get back in the
habit of it. And I would rather catch it before I'm quote completely not doing it right. At least going a couple of days a week is better than not going at all. So I wanted to pick back up versus wait. And so anyhow, back to the CEO days, I'm super excited about the CEO days, because these are really going to be crucial for my business, because it's truly implementation days. Yes, there'll be some brain dumping at the beginning of the day of what all I want to get done. But
it's truly implementation. And I was talking to my coach, and you know, I'm very blessed to have 21 months that are pretty darn consistent, and have been really well. But to go over that there's certain things I need to do. And a lot of it has to do with implementation, right. And so if I can implement the things that I get to do, I know that's going to help me, but I get to take the time to implement them. And yes, some of the things I can hand off, but a lot of it
all starts with me. Nobody's creating a lead magnet for me, the words have to come from me, somebody else could design it. But it has to start with me, right? Video content, all is me, right? All of those things are all me. And so I want to make sure that I am prioritizing them. I want to use my SEO days, to truly redo funnels to redo sales copy to set up my emails for the week to look over my content for the week to see what my next offer is going to be to pour in to the programs that I
have. It's very, very important for me to set this up. So I want you to think about if you do not have something on your schedule set for your business, how can we change that? If you're doing nothing scheduled in your business? How about let's do a 30 minute every single day, or a two hour window on a day that you have extra time. But if we don't start, we are going to
struggle getting stuff done. And if we don't make it a priority, and we don't put it first, we're always going to struggle to get ahead and reach the goals that we want to reach. Even on weekends, to an extent not like during the weekdays. But there's something that I do to move the needle forward on my business, I made a pact with myself a long time ago, if I decide to work on a Saturday, it has to be on my business. Sundays do not but Saturdays have to be my
business. And so that way, if I feel like working, I know it's only allowed to be on my business unless it's just a crazy week. But that's that's the role I give myself. And so I'm super excited about the CEO days that start this week, and really getting to implement them. And they're going to be on Mondays and Fridays. And like what better two days to pick to
be your CEO days. So set up your CEO time, make sure you share it with me because I want to know and tag somebody else in this episode if you think they need to set up a CEO days for their business or CEO times for their business so that they can work and get the implementation done on their business. So many times we work in our business and we get to work on our business because that is what's going to help our marketing. That's what's going to help us with our leads list. That's what's going
to help us get more leads. It is all of that marketing piece of our business and the implementation part of our business that we need to be working on to pull more people and draw more people in and increase our revenue.
