I love a good content strategy and I think sometimes that we probably have some decent content , but maybe there are some things that we can tweak in our content , and so these are some questions that I would ask myself before posting , before putting that piece of content out there and this can apply to , like emails .
This can apply to so many other things as well , not just social media content . But the first thing is is ask yourself how does this serve and support my ideal person ? So , whatever I'm posting today , whatever I'm putting out , how does this serve and support them ?
And I think , when we can answer that question very clearly , like we can read that piece of content , we can review that piece of content we're like okay , I see it right here , I see exactly how I can serve and support them by this piece of content . I think it's going to help them so much and it's just going to land differently when you see that .
The second thing is and I don't know that this is always possible , but I would ask myself like this , especially before I get on video am I feeling very passionate and am I feeling very convicted about the topic that I'm about to talk about ? I was talking about this today in a training and I said I'm going to test this .
I'm going to test this like in an ad . So I'm going to literally have the same script and I'm going to get myself in a place where I'm really really feeling passionate and convicted about said topic and I'm going to create a video .
And then I'm going to create a video like the next day where I'm not getting myself into that energy and I'm just saying it and I really want to see which ad converts better . I think it would be magical to see that , because I believe I know which one , because there is nothing that compares to your conviction , that energy like people just feel it .
And you know if communication is only 7% verbal , we've got a lot of work to do , my friends right , there's so much more than the words that we say . The third thing I would ask myself is what's the purpose of this piece of content ? What is the absolute purpose of this piece of content ?
Obviously it should be for your ideal person , your future raving fans . But what purpose is this piece of content serve ? And the next thing I would ask and piggybacking on the purpose what's the point ? What's the point of this post ? What's the point of this reel ? What's the point of this video ?
And then the last question I would ask myself is actually there's two more , I'm not going to say last , there's . The next to last one is can I narrow this down anymore ? Can I get to the point faster ? Is this full of a lot of fluff ? And if it is , is the fluff necessary ?
Or do you need the fluff to help tell a story , to help talk about a transformation ? And so I think that's a really good question to ask yourself Is this too fluffy , is this too much ? And then the final thing is have I given my audience a call to action ? And this can be as simple as drop an emoji or a GIF .
If you agree , dm me for more details If you feel this heart , this Like there . Again , there's so many different ways that you can do this , but encourage your audience to create some kind of engagement with you , because when we teach our audience to do this , it's going to help so much more when it is to purchase or to do something else .
And so when we really just understand our audience , we're also going to understand how to get them to best react , whether that's a call to action or dropping an emoji or whatever , our DMing us or clicking a link , for that matter , it's just going to help us be able to serve them better .
So I believe these are some great questions that we can ask ourselves before we hit post , before we hit send , before we hit go live , right ?
So these are great questions that we can ask ourselves , just to make sure that we are indeed in alignment with this piece of content and we're not just posting to post , to check a box , that we're really posting for a purpose and we see that purpose for our ideal person .
