On today's business contradictions . Let's talk about you need a coach . Now I have very strong feelings about this , actually in both ways , and here's what I'm going to say , and I will never not have a coach or mentor , but I don't believe that you need to always have one that you're working with one on one .

And let me explain At the beginning , I absolutely needed somebody to work with one on one , and there have been moments in my business where I've needed to work with someone one on one , but most of the time , putting myself in a mastermind , putting myself in a container where there is community and there is constant upleveling happening by other people , is a great

place for me to be , because I feed off of that energy . Now , the reason I think old me needed a coach was because that energy actually defeated me , because I couldn't understand how everybody was getting where they were getting and I wasn't .

It was a very lack mentality , and so I'm always going to try to be real with you guys when I'm talking about these things , and I do think that there is this beautiful thing about having someone understand you and know you on a deeper level when it comes to coaching .

But also , what I have found can also happen is you can outgrow your coach , and that has been as me as the coach , because I have seen this happen and because I've put myself in so many containers , because I've had so many mentors , I don't want to necessarily outgrow my coach .

I want my coach to always be evolving and I want my coach to always be growing , and that is one thing that I have done for myself . I refuse to remain stagnant , I refuse to remain the same , I refuse to not grow .

And this morning I was looking at my memories on Facebook and I celebrated last year that all these people I have a really good retention rate and those same people have once again renewed six months in full in my inner circle , or they just if they're monthly , they just keep paying .

And this is a beautiful thing , and I'm not sitting here patting myself on the back going good job , chrissy . It's just that I keep stretching myself . Friends , I do it for myself , but I also do it for my clients . To me it is so important as someone who has been and worked with so many coaches and mentors . Thank you , I don't .

I would be okay if my clients outgrew me , but there are parts in my business that I am never gonna stop growing right my mindset , my emotional intelligence , my leadership those are never gonna stop . I'm never gonna stop growing and pushing myself when it comes to visibility , I'm never gonna stop .

And so I think it's important that when you find a coach or a mentor , that they're always growing and I'm not saying that they always have to be , they don't have to be in a million containers , but they should be pushing themselves consistently and their growth should be shown .

But also they should be talking about where they've been and how they got to where they got , and also they should be sharing client results . I think it's very , very important . There are moments in my business where I've taken a break from having a one-on-one coach , and I do believe that sometimes I just get to listen to myself and go with my own gut .

I'll never forget I've had coaches before in Voxer and I would voice note out what I wanted to do and what I was on the fence about . Before they even got back to me , I'd already decided and I'd moved . And that's when I realized okay , I move super fast , I don't . I will listen to guidance , but I don't need guidance .

I don't need handheld anymore Like I used to and I think earlier on in my business , I was so unsure , I was so indecisive , I was so like I don't know if this is the right move . I just didn't have the confidence and the belief and the certainty that I have now .

And it's funny because one of my favorite mentors ever I was in her mastermind for four years . I met some of my best friends there . She said if you don't have the belief and the certainty now , borrow mine until yours comes . And this is the thing that I share with my clients all the time .

If you don't believe it yet , borrow my belief , because I believe in you until your belief shows up . And it is one of the most important things that I could ever do for my clients , but also them . Believing in my belief until they can believe in their own is huge . And so there is this again duality that , yes , I do believe .

Most people do need coaches . I do believe that most people need in some type of some type of coaching where they can get someone on one , or accountability .

That's one reason that the visible inner circle is very intimate and I keep it very small because , along with the group and the community , and they are like the way they support each other just makes me like , makes my eyes open , just makes me like , makes my eyes like tear up right now just thinking about it .

But I love being able to support them on a one-on-one basis too . I love that they get both in this container . This container is so hybrid . Because of that and you know , I know this episode is about you need a coach .

But also one of the things that I am gonna pat myself on the back for this , because I have put myself in so many containers as a client . I am very strong about what I like and what I dislike and then I bring that to the containers that I'm in . Like I literally create containers that I've always wanted to have .

I create containers that I wish I had early on in my journey . That would have supported me early on in my journey . Omnivip , just one thing , like these are amazing containers . I'm not just saying because I created them , but because I took the parts and pieces of where I have paid and put myself in .

I've spent over six figures in mentorship , in training , like much more than most people pay for a college degree . Right , and I will not stop . Every year I will invest in something else . You know , this year I spent well I would say 2023 , I spent probably about $40,000 between my certification , between mini minds , masterminds , and I did a year-long membership .

That's $1,000 a month . So this , to me , is very , very important . Again , I'm OK if my clients outgrow me , but I'm not stopping . So it's going to take a lot , it's gonna take a lot , and that isn't to again , that isn't to be like you know , ha ha ha . You can't outgrow me , because that's not it at all , because I want my clients to grow .

And if they did outgrow me , I would be okay with that . But when you're constantly pushing yourself and you don't lay stagnant and you don't stop , that's a hard thing to accomplish . And so I also want to say this , because I think this is important too .

Going back to outgrowing , because we talk about levels a lot , we talk about hierarchies a lot , we talk about high end and words like that .

And I do want to be very , very clear that I don't put anyone on a pedestal , and I have in the past and this was something that I had to work through and I had to work on but I used to put all my coaches , mentors , on a pedestal and it was a huge disservice to them and a huge disservice to me .

And when I finally realized we're all just human and I started actually hiring my peers , the people I was inside of Masterminds with , I started hiring them because I saw their brilliance and I saw that they had expertise in an area that I didn't . And that's also the way that I look at my clients . Outgrowing them doesn't necessarily mean I know more than them .

I may know more about them , or I may know more than them in a certain subject , right In a certain thing , but I believe we all have gifts and , for example , my clients have . One is knowledgeable on all the things about menopause . I don't know either about menopause , right .

One is very knowledgeable about loving your body and body image Again , I don't know a lot about that . Right . One is very knowledgeable in motor sports marketing and talks about visibility Again , not my thing . I couldn't tell you how to get sponsorship right . That's not my thing . Another is really good with helping homeschoolers get their kids to college .

Again , I've gotten two kids to college , but I don't even have an ounce of the knowledge that she has because I also haven't homeschooled my kids and have one that helps their clients with layoffs and helps corporations with layoffs Again , not something I'm familiar with . I've actually never even been laid off , so I can't even talk about the experience , right .

So these are all different . We have I have a stager , someone who is great at staging . I have someone who is great at oh my gosh , I'm having a brain fart moment right now One that is great in stormwater marketing .

I have one that is an amazing life coach , right , and she also has so much other experience in her background , and so when I look at all of them collectively , I'm just like mind blown because they're all unique , beautiful and strong and they have a strength that I do not have .

And so I think when we put people on a pedestal or when we put people on levels , it's very and this is crazy , since , you know , I call myself the disability queen but it's very like hierarchy , like the crown right , like you have queen and king , you have princes , princes and princesses , and you have Duchess and you have all these different things right .

And so I do not see business like that . And one of the things that I prioritized over the last probably 18 months was hiring my peers , joining my peers masterminds , because , again , not only learning , because they have an expertise that I do not , but also how do you run your containers ? How does this feel ?

And so , again , I've totally went outside of the path of coaching , but I think it's really , really important to talk about all the aspects and all the ways that I feel about that . Will I ever not have a coach or be in some type of mastermind , inner circle container ? No , I will always be in something because I feed off that energy .

There are times I don't need it and there are times that I don't check in and there are times that I don't ask questions and there are times that I was gonna say I don't go to calls , but I actually do . I actually always , if I can make it , I am always there and it's always a priority to me .

But it doesn't mean it's not valuable , it doesn't mean it's not worth it if I don't have questions and I don't hop into Vox or Telegram and ask questions . The value is still there because it's that honest , knowing that it's always there . It's always there , it's always available to me , and so that is a beautiful , beautiful thing .

And before I forget , another client is an expert at helping you be an advocate for your kids , and I think that is also a really truly beautiful , beautiful thing . So do you need a coach ? That's up to you . If you are so decisive , like you , can make a decision , you can move fast . You don't need hand-holding , you don't need direction .

You know what you want , you go after it , you move , you take risks . You get uncomfortable ? No , not necessarily Do . I believe you should always be up-leveling your emotional intelligence yes . Your personal power yes . Your marketing knowledge yes . Your visibility knowledge yes , because those things are gonna continue .

And your sales knowledge , because those things are always gonna continue to grow your business . You get to decide do you need the extra help and do you need the extra support ?

And maybe it's not in a one-on-one situation , maybe it is in more of a group container , and if you ever have a question about what I offer that looks like that , feel free to reach out . But you get to decide . Do you need a coach ? Is a coach going to support you ?

I would not be where I'm at today without the coaches , whether or not I would ever work with them again or not I would not be where I am in this moment . I have taken something away .

I have learned what to do , and I've also learned a lot of what I would never do , and that's okay , because that's all growth , that's all learning and it's all perfect for what I needed in that moment .
