Episode description

Ever felt like you're on a roller coaster, with ups and downs, twists and turns? That's how my podcasting journey has been since June 25th, 2021. Could you imagine creating 400 episodes? It started sporadically, but then I took a leap and started a five-day-a-week posting schedule from May 23rd, 2022. My transformation has been amazing, and I've learned so much from this journey. Listen in to this real life conversation on what it has looked like for me. I'd like you to join me in celebrating not only my growth but yours as well. I've also got a challenge for you.

Speaker 1

Back in June of 2021 , I started this podcast and today we are celebrating 400 episodes and I think it's only fair to give you a full overview of how it started and literally go from there . So , first of all , on June 25th 2021 , I started this podcast and it was crazy because I was going on this uncomfortable journey .

So I was documenting it because I obviously wanted to take my audience along for the whole journey , and so it started . It wasn't consistent because , honestly , it was more like a documentation for myself and if people wanted to come along and listen , then they could .

And so the beginning of the podcast starts out very inconsistent , but still I mean a few episodes a month , probably I don't know like maybe one , two , three , four , like maybe eight episodes a month . And then it goes into a million dollar sprint that I was on and I was in this program . We were doing a million dollar sprint over 90 days .

I did not hit a million dollars in 90 days , but just the things and the way that we showed up and documenting our numbers and all of that stuff was part of the part of the program . And so I'm talking about the sprint , I'm talking about the action , I'm talking about the mindset .

I'm talking about all the things in this other sprint that I'm doing this 90 days and so I think I was pretty consistent . There were some days that I grouped together , but I wasn't like Monday through Friday . It was like maybe Monday Tuesday one week and Friday Saturday that week , and then the next week it might have been Monday through Friday .

Next week it might have been Wednesday through Sunday . So it just kept changing and it was really just very inconsistent , which , if you've followed me for a while , it's not not a big fan of being inconsistent .

So that's like the real first part of this podcast journey and I decided in May let's see , actually May was pretty inconsistent until May 23rd and May 23rd is when I officially started posting five days a week and how we got to episode 400 today .

And it's just interesting just to go back and look at the titles , go back and listen to some of the episodes and see the growth and the things I no longer agree with . And I've said this before like would I go back and delete the episodes ? And the answer is no , because it's part of my journey .

It's like the Jell-O-Shop video , it's like any of my previous lives or my previous TikTok videos , like I wouldn't go back and change any of those . And I think that sometimes we want to erase the embarrassing parts or we want to erase the things we don't agree with anymore . We want to erase the things that we've grown .

And you know , I do call , obviously , these beginning episodes of podcasts I will 100% call them baby Chrissy , just like I will call early video days I mean honestly , sometimes even two years ago video Chrissy , baby Chrissy .

And so it's like how can we like enjoy the journey and the growth and be okay with looking back to see how far we've come , and that's it . I may not agree with 100% of everything I said , even if I have evolved and I've grown and I don't focus on the things that I used to focus on .

I think it's really important just to see where we've been and where we're going . But if somebody found me and I mean I don't know if they're going to listen to 400 episodes , but if they want to start at the beginning and listen to see where I've been and where I am now , that's also okay .

And so , again , sometimes we want to erase those parts and the inconsistency . Yes , that bothers me , but it's been around me . You know how I like consistency . I like this is how we do things , and it wasn't that way . And you know , when I decided to go five days a week , there was this big decision do I start over ?

Do I start over or do I keep going ? And I'm like I keep going . One of the things we talked about this last week and just one thing in the challenge is that I wanted to do a comeback queen award because I have had so many comebacks right , and if you're familiar with human design , my three , five says I have , I feel , more than most people .

So of course I'm going to have more comebacks unless I just , unless I just quit .

And so it's interesting that I decided to stay with it on this podcast , because it is sometimes , actually it's always harder to start again than it is the first time , when we do something for the first time and we maybe don't get the result or we don't get the response or the instant gratification that we want , and then we quit , we slack off , or it just

gets hard and we slack off to start back over or to start again and saying I'm back to doing this , I'm going to do this , I'm going to be consistent . It's very hard and so for the podcast , that was for me . Anytime I have stocked on video that is for me , and so I wanted to tell the members of the just one thing challenge .

Hey , I just want to let you know . I know how hard it is , but there's going to be a comeback queen award , a world comeback queen award . So if you hop back in right now and you start , give it your all to the end , you could win the comeback queen award , and so it's promoting that . It's promoting not giving up .

It's promoting not saying I failed , so I'm done . It's promoting get back on , you know , the horse when you fall off . It's promoting all of those things that really help our growth . A lot of people ask , like , how , like , what's the equipment you use for your podcast ?

Well , in the beginning like I don't know if I said this on this episode , but in the beginning I was recording in my car . Oh , quality is horrible . It sounds awful .

That episode that's like the highest downloads is awful quality , awful quality , and most of the time , right now I'm sitting at my kitchen table and I am recording on my phone because it's just easier than going up to my desk setting up my computer and doing all this things and I feel so in the element right now versus going and sitting down in front of my

desk and recording on my really good mic . And we get to not strive for perfection but to always strive for consistency , right To do the thing , to take the action .

If I would have let like , honestly , if I would have said I can never record a podcast on my phone , I have to record in front of my desk on my good mic , I'm pretty sure we would not be at 400 , because that's against my freedom based business , that's against everything that I teach , that's against everything that I promote , and I can't live my life

recorded my desk at the perfect spot all the time . Yes , what I love for all of my episodes is sound amazing . Of course I would , but that's also not real life and I'm not gonna put myself in that box and in that perfection again because I've been there , it's not fun and so therefore I'm not gonna stay there .

And so I just again , I look and , look and look through these episodes and I think so many of them are gold . So when I look back and let's go to , let's just do this Episode one , let's go back to episode one because I want to talk about episode one . So episode one is are you ready for a challenge ? Are you ready for a challenge ?

And literally this episode is truly talking about . It's talking about , let's see when is this ? June 25th , 2021 . So this is talking about the hundreds of lives in July and in June , or sorry , in July of 2022 , I actually , or sorry , july of 2021 , oh my gosh , I can't get this straight Of July of 2020 , see , this is , this is .

I'm just gonna say this right now . This episode is clearly not over produced . It is me just pouring my heart out to you and being real . So , july of 2021 , I did 200 live videos and so this is interesting because this was before I was challenging myself to do 200 live videos .

So that's when this podcast originally started and I think that's really interesting to look back on when we look at episode . Let's go back to episode 100 . I just want to see , like , what is episode 100 about ?

Because I think this again is going just to be this whole trajectory and this whole journey of this entire , this entire podcast , all whole 400 episodes . So episode 100 is about I think it was a cool name maybe Episode . Oh no , episode 100 isn't really even that cool creating CO days in your business .

So this is talking about when I went from CEO hours so the two hours in every day going to two days a week having CEO days , that was a big game changer for my business . I'm not going to lie .

So , talking about that and giving other people permission because I think sometimes we think I have to work Monday through Friday , or I have to work Monday through Thursday , or I have to work 10 hours a day , or I have to work six hours a day , or I have to work at whatever you don't , and you get to decide what that looks like and prepare yourself in

time for your business . And speaking of that episode 100 , creating CEO days and CEO time whatever it looks like for you and whatever it's able to look like for you in this moment . Enjoy that and take advantage of that and make it a priority , because CEO time is huge .

That's where we implement , that's where we execute and that's where the magic really does happen . That's where we set ourselves up for success and I am so thankful that I have had CEO time since 2019 . Episode 200 was 20 strategies , tactics and actions to grow a big business . So this was me . This was October 14th of 2022 .

And this is me truly pouring in to my audience about the 200th episode and really the things that I think were really vital for growth , and obviously I'm not going through all of them , but it's like so number one is . Number one is it's your responsibility to protect your online presence and I've been hacked .

I talk about that and so I really love this episode because I think there is a lot of juice and value in it for my audience . So that was a way to celebrate the 200th episode . So let's go to the 300th episode . What was the 300 episode ? What was I talking about ? Episode 300 , celebrating 300 episodes of overcoming fear and embracing change .

Now , this episode was all about making big , uncomfortable moves through fears , hard decisions , keeping the passion alive , selling , having consistent actions , and so this episode was about 20 minutes and really digging deep and talking about all of those things , right , and it was talking about hitting that milestone 300 , it seems like forever ago .

This was in March of 2023 , march 6th of 2023 . So , like we've added on another 100 episodes in just what ? April , say ? March to April , may , june so we're at the end of July , so like four months . So four months we've added 100 episodes and we're at 400 .

And so I talk about the podcast and a little bit about how I looked at the or how I sounded at the beginning , and I talked about in the same thing with video and really just getting uncomfortable and how getting uncomfortable is really truly why I'm wearing that . I used to say that video changed my business or changed my life , but video changed my business .

Getting uncomfortable changed my life and so when we play bigger , when we can push ourselves , when we can stretch ourselves and do the uncomfortable things as much as possible , it is always going to serve and support us .

I don't wanna make this episode so long that you're not gonna listen to it , because we're celebrating all week and we have so many exciting things coming this week , but I want you to think about this Like , what have you done ? 400 of ? Have you worked out 400 times ? Have you done 400 videos ? It is a matter of their life .

There can be any type of videos . Have you been consistent in anything for 400 times or 400 days ? Or have you stopped a bad habit for at least 400 days ? Like , think of the things that you've done and you've accomplished ? Have you done something for 100 days ? Have you done something for 200 days ?

And if you haven't , that's okay , because you can decide right now , in a split second , listening to this episode , that you are gonna do that , that you are gonna change the trajectory of your business . When I first started this podcast , I was going on an uncomfortable journey .

I listened to the podcast that Rob Dile talked about getting uncomfortable and going on a 365 day getting uncomfortable journey . That was huge for me . It was huge for my business . Nothing I'd never heard before , but in that moment I needed to hear it . And maybe that stays episode for you . Do you need a push ? Do you need a stretch ?

Do you get to get uncomfortable ? What do you feel like ? The next thing is for you , you get to decide right now , in this moment . Growth comes from getting uncomfortable . Growth comes from pushing ourselves . I'm not saying you have to do 400 podcast episodes . I'm not saying you have to do 400 live videos .

I'm not saying you have to do anything , but think inside like , what can you do ? Maybe it's starting at 31 days or 30 days consecutively doing something , and then we just keep adding to it and before you know it , you're already here . I truly believe and I've said this before that consistent actions be luck , talent and good intentions all day , every day .

But most people 99% of business owners that come to me that struggle with something it is consistency . I'm struggling being consistent , I struggle getting back on the horse . I struggle doing consistent content , consistent video , consistent selling , consistent whatever . The consistency is like 99% of the thing that I hear . So it doesn't have to be that way .

We don't have to keep being that way . We get to make a split decision , split second decision that this isn't the way my life is gonna look and I'm going to change . But the question is are you in ? Are you saying yes ? Are you willing to do that ? I hope the answer is yes and I would love for you to share this episode .

I would love for you to tag me and declare something . I would love to support you . And if you don't want to do it publicly and you want to just message me and tell me , that's okay too .

But I really want to see what can happen when you say yes to yourself and you decide on consistent actions and I'm not going to tell you what consistent actions To do . You know deep down inside the thing that is holding you back , the thing that you is a big fear of yours . You know what that is .

We all , I think , deep down inside , know what that thing is . The question is are we willing to do it ? And you get to decide right now and this was second you can cut this episode off right now , you don't have to do anything , but you also get to decide . Am I doing this , am I going to be consistent ?

How am I gonna challenge myself and what's next for me ?
