You know, I love talking about mentorship and mentorship is so vital for growth, it can be an intimate one on one container, it can be an intimate mastermind or inner circle container, it can be a larger mastermind or inner circle container. I have been re listening to a Brendon Burchard, high performance habits, I'm almost done. My goal is to be done in by tomorrow. But anyhow, I love that he says you should have one mentor for the long term. And then additional mentors for specific
growth phases or topics. And this is truly how I've ran my business. Even though if my longtime long term mentor, we may have taken breaks, or there have been times that we that she wasn't my mentor. But really she was right. So we've taken long term breaks. And then I've added additional coaches and mentoring as I've needed them. And I think that's what been one of the I don't even want to say Secrets To My Success. But I think it is truly up leveled me and helped
me see the possibilities. When I was working with one one on one mentor, and I had one mentor who was in her mastermind, everything was very similar, because they come from similar communities, right. And so in 2020, well, actually in 2021, I stepped outside of that community for the first time. And then in 2022, I really stepped outside of that the people that came from that community. So it was a big huge eye opener into into what was
possible. I think a lot of times, we just do things the way that our mentors do them. Because we feel like that's the way it's done. Right? How many people raise your hand as you are? As you are, if you're driving? Obviously, keep one hand on the wheel. But raise your hand if you are like I do things because I think that's the way they have to be done. And I think that's a very big
challenge to all of us. How can we change the way that we do things that align with us that feel really good to us that maybe aren't like everybody else is doing them? I think it goes in the same with content and everything else. So mentorship is a great place to learn how to do this, like what are all the possibilities, right. And I will say that truly I do love intimate containers for close proximity to my mentors. And yesterday, I got a message from
one of my mentors. I was in an eight week mastermind of hers back in the fall. And she said, I'm creating a 10 person mastermind when your commitment are you in? I didn't even think like I literally, you know, it's like going to the grocery store and buying something that's like, you know, you just know you buy you know, you're going to eat it right? And I'm like, it was a full body. Heck yes. me the link paid within seconds I
was at getting my nails done. So I don't know how I even got the credit card, like digits typed out while I was getting my nails done. But it was like, I don't even have a hands free. But I'm going to make this work, right. And it was just so crazy. Because it wasn't cheap, right? It wasn't inexpensive. It's a year commitment. And you know,
it but it was an easy. Yes. And obviously, as most of us after I made the decision, I was like, Oh, maybe I should have thought that through a little bit more. Maybe you should have said yes to FES maybe I should have but I knew there were 10 spots. And I know her community and I know how fast to send spots we're going to fill up. And I wasn't going to lose out on one of those 10 spots because I have waited on things with her before and not gotten in. So I knew that I was not going to do that
to myself. And I want you to think about this. What have you ever said yes to that was a full body? Heck yes. Now, by first mastermind that I join, you've heard this story maybe but it took me six months. I kept filling out the application probably like 10 times and he never pushed apply. I never push
the button. And what gave me confidence to finally say yes, because I could not get over that your commitment that your commitment was petrifying to me the year to say I don't know where I'm going to be a year from today. Like I hear what all they're saying on the news, bla bla bla bla, the world is going to end in a year from today. I mean, it didn't it was like two years from now it's getting four. But I had no idea. I had
no idea. And I think that is a big, huge scary thing and a lot of people struggle with commitment. And this is one reason that I changed all of my life. grams to be commitment based. You can choose the commitment, there's long commitments or shorter commitments, you can choose the commitment you want. But I always ask that people stretch themselves, I always ask that they get a little bit
uncomfortable, right? Don't do it, because the payment looks better do it for the commitment because you want to stretch yourself. And I think when you go into it, that mentality, it's like, yeah, I know, I don't give up on myself. I know, I can 100% count on myself, I know, I'm going to fight to make this work, find a way to make this work for 12 months. I'm not gonna go so I'm not going to
hide. It was interesting, I started seeing all the people that she was sharing that were in, and I'm like, I'm gonna be in this container for a year. I'm an introvert, I don't normally reach out to people. It's just not what I do. And I reached out to people, I was like, Okay, I'm gonna start this uncomfortable journey right now. And I'm gonna say, congratulations, I'm so excited I'm into. I can't wait to get to know you more. It's that simple.
wasn't comfortable? I don't reach out to people that I don't know. It's just not something I do. Right? It's just uncomfortable for me. So I want you to ask yourself, where can you add mentorship that there is a whole body? Heck, yes. And where can you add mentorship? That is there through your whole business growth. My best advices, I will beg you to not do this alone. I remember the first two years of my business, I thought, I'm going to show
everybody I don't need help. I didn't even actually know there was no such thing as a coach, a business coach, to be honest with you back then. But I was like, I'm gonna show everybody and I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna be so successful. And it was very lonely. It was very hard. And I had no idea what I was doing. I had no direction. And it would have been so much easier if I hired somebody from the beginning. But now I know what it's like to not have someone write my first business.
I didn't have a coach or a mentor. Could it be the reason it was failed? Yeah, I had no direction. I had no cheerleader, I had nobody telling us what to do. I had nobody pushing me to go outside my comfort zone that said, my business partner. It's not going to be easier alone. It's going to be uncomfortable together. But wouldn't you rather have somebody pushing you to be uncomfortable, then get put in an uncomfortable situation where you truly can't get yourself out of it, that you
have no one there to support? I think it's like, I don't know what the quote is. But it's like, if you do the easy things now, life is hard later. If you do the hard things. Now, life is easier later. If you do the uncomfortable things now with the direction from your mentor, and guidance from your mentor. Life is gonna be comfortable later. But actually, you won't want it to be comfortable, because you'll want to keep pushing yourself to be more uncomfortable, because that's
growth. And you'll figure that out. Every hard decision and every hard conversation I have to have. I say, You know what, I'm gonna grow through this. I'm going to feel uncomfortable. But I'm going to the growth I'm going to get when I come out the other side is going to be phenomenal. I can't buy that. I can't make that up. I literally have to go through it to create that. So who is your mentor? Who is going to be your mentor? Who
do you want to work with? And if you're like, I can't afford anything, have you asked? Because every mentor has a program for you. Every single one. Ask what's available. Ask how you can make it work. And at minimum, say I'm going to give you a $50 deposit right now because you are my mentor. And we're going to work together someday. And I don't know which program that's going to be but hold my $50 Until we figure that
out together. Because for right now I'm going to watch your free content and I'm going to implement it because there is an exchange of energy and things are different. Now you are my mentor, and I am paying attention and I'm watching everything that you do. Because I want to be in close proximity as soon as possible. Try it, see
it, make it happen. And if you ever need one on one support, if you are looking for a program reach out to me I would love to chat more about the options that have worked for you
